ALL seals should be replaced IMO, including that PS axle seal, especially on a off road Jeep, you dropped tha ball on this repair, you do all that work and dont replace a critical axle seal, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOđź‘Ž........ And its not a freeken puller, I was 10 min trying to find that ball-joint tool because you called it a puller, stick your hand out and slap it for me, it's called >> {OTC 6297 Ball Joint Separator}

  4. Sometimes a backwards drill-bit will remove fittings, you lucked out with screwdriver. I would've thought that a professional mechanic would have a better rear-end jack to support the rear axle in a 3 point support, that looked more to me like a half-donkey back-woods shade-tree wrench-mechanic using HF tooling and not afraid of gravity.........

  7. One good thing about old Fords, they had the distributer in the right place. 5.0 is small V8 translated 305 ci but now there are V6's that seems to put out as much as those small V8's.........

Yeah ok here it is mid Dec with 66% humidity and 80* temp with mosquitoes and alligators, you can keep it, I'll stay in rust belt ME where it's now mid morning in the 30sF with NO humidity, but hey I love your governor!!! And thumbs down for not given to cost of repair on AC part, but my guess is around $2,500.00............

Normally a 20 year old car with 200k isn't worth putting $1000.00 in it, but since the trans was rebuilt and has very little rust, a $1000.00 is way cheaper then new car with never ending car payment. Only question now is, what made them wires go bad, that sensor........ PS, This was a suspenseful video.........

That battery looked like it was in a back killer position, nothing will make you feel 90 years like back pain. I wonder what Jeep recommends for battery replamental procedurel, remove front seat, back seat, both seats all seats plus motor............. PS thanks for putting back on heat-shield, not many would do that.....

  20. What car was this using pressed in wheel bearings? Seems to me bolt on wheel bearings are betterrah................. I dont like to nit-pick but you are lacking in hydraulic press skills, I would've machined a more exact sleeve to fit that hub, that was almost an accident waiting to happen, remember if you get seriously hurt you wont be able to pay for my social security.......

If I knew how to do what you did, I would've used a oscillating saw and try to make a cleaner plastic obstruction removal demolition cut, other then that yes by all means save me $400.00 on this 25 year old work van............ PS, up here in ME its no 80*, more like 8 below with the woodstove cranking.....

  27. That weld is to big, 120v welder with .023 70s-6 wire works better on crap like that. I use those bur-grinders everyday, a necessary evil. I'm not a morning person either, I do my best work from 12-1 with hour off for lunch...........

Today steeling is way out of control, thieves are fallowing UPS and FED-X around taking packages as soon as they are drop off, gangs are steeling jewelry from stores twice in one day, HD has to lock everything up, makes me wonder what is yet to come..........

  35. I for one dont want anymore of that old shop drama with disk jockey service manager, "are you done yet, customer is waiting" and or radio wars, had enough of that crap at my job. The only drama I want see is a easy-peasy water pump job on a scubydoo.......... If I sleep wrong I to get severe back pain to, nothing will make you feel 90 years old quicker then back pain. You could try some of those vibrating patch things on your back, they worked for me, or you could do what George Jefferson did but have the wife unit do it........ PS YES YES and YES, I was entertained!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So when shirt get dirty, change shirt, when hands get dirty wash hands, when floor gets dirty sweep floor, when gas gets on floor use blow gun..... But when gas catches fire and burns down building, that means you forgot to buy fire extinguisher and train your boy Troy how to use it.................

You made couple errors here and slipped a gear!!! 1> You should've checked air filter, then you should've run some of that internal snake oil cleaner through the engine, and then give it an oil change..... Also, in couple years after your goatee turns grey and your store gets bigger, you can start calling yourself Colonel Ray and sell fried chicken, can I have coleslaw with that.............

  43. I really cant relate to a 70k Jag sunroof issue, those are way over my paygrade. But connecter tabs are a pain in any paygrade, there must be an endless design of tab connecters, never know if it's push pull left right up down squeeze or pry, I always end up breaking the darn things then see how they come apart....... What I can relate to is why my 3k 04 Jeep Liberty blower motor now only works in high after the resister has been changed, show how to test a resister and or climate switch.......

  45. How come you dont cut wire off when takng out sensors, and how come you didn't use individual quick-disconnect wire connectors on the sensor, more work, more money, not as good, all of the above? Enjoyed the xtra senseless ramblings and the schematic wire tracing, wish I could do both......

  46. Very entertaining video, Dave must shake his head a lot listening to you work on something besides brake fluid changing. I had to watch this record length video in two days, it's a time thing......... Now for the synopsis, a $10.00 word that I will look up the meaning of later, if you got this repair done in under 4 hrs on my car with all bolts in right places, I'd be a little nervious, this was easily a 4-6 hr repair, 4 days if I dared to try it. When I got done the motor would look like a Christmas tree with 10 different color marking on bolts and connectors, and a trash can full of plastic bags with labels of said bolts of said locations............. Florido accent??????????!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me, you have no more accent then Desanctimonious, you have no more accent then I do in ME. But VA NC SC GA tend to have a strong southern accent, for instance my daughter in VA, her MIL has strong southern accent, fun herring her ask, "want a piece of pie"...................

Anyone who can walk and talk and chew at the same time on camera while diagnosing car problems has some real talent. Then near the end while your talking about why people dont trust mechanics, "one bad apple", it's like you was reading my mind while you was talking cause everything you said is what I was already thinking, if I was that car owner I'd be taking the first rip-off mechanic to court............ ("That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.")

  48. So to start with I first want a verified test to know for sure you have bent valves..... Next I have to say this was your best no repair video to date, finally you show and go through the cost of a repair job!!!!! So when you brought up prices of repair cost of a worse case scenario, my guess was 4-5k, therefore if no rust on car, it's worth a 5k repair job...... But if that was a 03-07 Jeep liberty 4x4 with no rust and under 100k miles , I'd dump 7-10k in repair cost all day long, a guaranteed repair...........
