  1. I never heard of plugs breaking off in Ford 5.4's, but I have had a 98/ F150 that blew a plug out and know of others that also had plugs blowing out on a 05/ F150. The Ford dealer fix was replace head or motor, a good garage fix was some sort of new thread installment in head......... PS. At 4:30 pm it's 88 degrees with 60% Floridian humidity in Mid-Coast ME.........☹
