  1. I always heat nut or bolt to cherry red and get a socket on as QUICKLY as possible, once you let the nut cool down it shrinks back on bolt, then the last state is worse then first. You got to keep heating nut to cherry red or you'll end up the way you ended up.... Heat expands steel, cooling shrinks steel, so when you heat the flange up, heat to cherry red and get extractor on QUICKLY.............
