  1. My boyfriend is getting a PhD and he seriously wants to go into academia. Idk what it's like for STEM (he's specifically mathematics) vs everyone else but I honestly do not get the appeal of seriously pursuing academia. I only have my bachelors and I'm pretty much guaranteed to always make good money in my field, especially now that I have about 5 years of experience.
