  1.  @levankhurtsidze5202  masculine кофе is not a rule, it is an exception. This word looks as other nouns ending "-е" (горе, море, поле) and might inflect in the same manner like regular neutral gender.

  2.  @Наблюдатель-д4с  In Russian it's possible. For instance, the word "моль". If you use feminine gender ("одна моль") then the sense is "butterfly which eats wool". If you use masculine gender ("один моль") then the sense is "unit of quantity of substance in SI".
