  1. I love (can't stand) the "I don't give a fuck" claim. It's like the coolest thing in the world to not care - I don't care about this video's content, I don't care what you have to say, I just don't give a fuck generally. *so why aren't you silent?* It's like seeing a video titled "Kardashian sister breaks ankle" - clicking on it, watching the video (that has 10,000 views) then asking "who cares?" or even more arrogant, "nobody cares".

  2. EXCELLENT comment from Ben! It took me many years to realise that (it's not an American thing) - one of the main ways we try to understand things is by comparing them to other things but *everything* is complex and so there will be significant differences. While crude analogies can work IF we don't suggest that things are equal and just highlight shared principles, our mind seems geared to saying "okay so there should be a men's pregnancy kit too then - they want equality don't they?!"
