+martthesling " It sickens me that regressive leftists like yourself cheer when the government kill American citizens. As a veteran I know people like you are enemy of the Republic." It does not sicken you because it did not happen. Why don't you go ahead and tell us at what point John celebrates the man's death. If you'd like, I can tell you precisely when John does the exact opposite and laments the tragedy of his death. You are an absolute parasite. Not conservatives, not right-wingers, not some pathetic tribal identity, you the person. We're all free to disagree but when you publicly state that a person did the opposite of what they actually did, you're a lying social parasite.

Firstly, elves are real so don't be so ignorant. Secondly John was clearly joking. Thirdly, if you were joking, it was anything but clear.

xapplejacksx Absolutely, I think it's one of the worst things they do (the worst would have to be misreporting stories and missing key details). I've spoken to many passionately antitheistic atheists about how this tends to only anger believers and harden their defences but I think for most it comes down to leaning more towards wanting to vent than wanting to change minds - some others insist that this is the way to change minds though I disagree. I don't personally even share those theistic beliefs but I take offence when they talk that way because if somebody is doing nothing to you and you take shots at them (and it's about the most personal thing you can attack), you're being the bully - not the victim. That's bad enough on an ethical level but if your cause is to 'rise up against religious oppression' then that's got to be counterproductive.

+Mark John Puglisi "I believe discussion over such actions divides people, at least until the rule of law, is applied to everyone with equal force?" This is a huge part of it and an important observation. It's not just that it bothers people that they threaten to murder police/officers/agents, and that does bother a lot of people, it's also that they're responded too so differently to other Americans who will be executed within seconds

It'd be like the old women in Skyrim when you remove their armour/robes after killing them in battle. So...conflicting...so smooth.

+Etaukan Brunette: Your side ain't so innocent Juan: Are we talking about this movie here or what? Brunette: I'm talking about....all of it Is this woman 13? Is she some random bitchy gossip girl? That's a personality type you'll find a lot in political disagreements - specifics? God no I don't want to address a specific issue, I want to indict you on....all of it. Not that Juan is anything other than a sell-out prostitute phony disgrace himself but man that was embarrassing. "Just...everything. You're wrong on everything, k?"

Why don't you pitch A NEW CHARACTER to Hollywood? See how far you get with that film as opposed to a tried and tested IP. THAT'S the problem - in reality Hollywood is interested in rehashing the same characters which are almost all white thus leaving fuck all roles for non white actors.
2
Then you die anyway and a computer program that believes itself to be you lives on, that's pointless.

So those of you who don't agree with race-switching fictional superheroes are super pissed off about Ridley Scott white washing the entire fucking cast of Exodus aren't you?
1
It's not the worst video ever...just no. But yes patronising people is counterproductive and he and other TYT hosts miss the fact that many theists are with them - TYT too often goes tribal and thinks its them vs the non atheists.

You mean the people who were left with just their heads? Yeah they'll be salvagable. Not sure about the ones whose bodies were blown up years ago, depends on the level of decay I guess but it's got to be worth a shot.

You speak of Europe as though it's one place. England, Denmark, Portugal, Iceland, Italy, Germany, Greece, Poland - these are completely different countries with completely different cultures and schools. As an English person who certainly didn't have great school dinner options as a kid (born in 85), what you speak about here certainly doesn't describe my part of Europe. I know it's gotten better over the years but when I was in secondary school the vegetarian option was basically token at best.

YY4Me133 There was a real chance he was genuine but he got sloppy and let his mask slip in the end. Great responses either way, very to the point without getting sidetracked.

Please don't fix your mix! I find the loud interference soothing.

Orientals have huge penises, just look at their cars.

Okay, some people want to start a war on anal? I'm starting a war on analogies. IF you insist on making an analogy (and I've stopped altogether because any issue can be directly analysed/discussed - comparing it to tenuously linked or at best similar issues moves the debate away from the source, usually irreversibly) then *determine the core principle* Gay = bad, robbery = bad to this man. What's the principle though? Robbery = bad because harm, theft. Gay = bad because (no harm, not bad)

I don't know what her reasons were, she was a sheltered, poorly socially developed shell with terrible people skills and a complete lack of understanding of other human beings. I dislike to draw racial conclusions (much to the contrary of many racism deniers' expectations) because it's my least favourite reality but it could have been a number of things. Just really wanted to get across how toxic presumption of guilt can be, the division it builds and the karma it sows.

Me, Myself, and Iadarola?

[P1/2] Something that is often not considered by people who haven't experienced being presumed to be guilty is the consequence of that action on a human mind. My experience throughout school and even in the pathetic place I worked for many years was of being immediately judged as being troublesome; I hated this because I actually never set out (present tense) to cause problems. It plants a seed that festers and festers until it becomes flat out resent towards those who are judging you..[ctd]
1
[P2/2] this is when your eyes go from an open and innocent gaze (yes innocent, we don't become 'not innocent' just by ceasing to be children) to an angry, jaded, "you think I'm a problem? Well fuck you, I despise you for seeing me that way" and that's when it becomes 'right back at you' and then some will point and say "see, I told you he'd be trouble". People don't see naked human minds/consciousness, they see skin and stereotypes. How do you make someone act like an animal? Put them in a cage

TYT would never resort to using provocative, misleading titles in order to dishonestly gain views. Never. Nope. Not our TYT. :P
1
I like this show, I actually prefer it to your lone work on TYT for whatever reason. Anyway, it's not that racism deniers just need to see the evidence/proof, it's that they don't want to see the evidence/proof because they see this whole thing in tribal vision - thus even if it's white police, they see it as them if they're white. They defend the most appalling racists because they think they're defending themselves. Then there are those who *are* racist who are literally defending themselves.

Some people really misunderstand the notion of privilege. They seem to think it implies that they're living in an ivory tower with no hardships in their lives. All it means is that certain things are made more difficult for other people based on their birth status. I know I have male privilege in certain areas not because my life feels so easy but because if I look at the other group, females, I can see "yeah I don't face that issue". It's not about blame, it's just acknowledging the world.

Who would admit is a good question but when there's an actual case of it - just look around. Look at the people who immediately decide the dead black kid must have deserved it; I'm surprised that would show itself when questionning people so yes it does make you wonder how this was conducted but the reality, as it's showed itself to me, is that there's a visible portion who by default take that despicable position.
1
You're right, poor research doesn't help matters, especially if just having your 'ear to the street' tells a different story. I get a very unreliable perception of America as an English person because firstly not everybody discusses things on the internet, relatively few do, secondly any forum is likely to have a largely polarised divide - even if it's a mostly left wing forum it'll attract dissent from those with opposing stances. Props for the sound criticism then.
1
By the way, I didn't intend that as a put down of your evidence - evidence is always paramount even though dismissing widespread first hand anecdotal evidence is a joke. "Maybe all black people except the ones paid by Fox News are lying"
1
Believing kids deserve to die is a bad attitude, a terrible, piteous attitude. The people you dislike and judge are a reflection of yourself. "Black people" does not exist - there is no "black people", this is just a simplistic perception your mind makes when it sees many individuals and groups them together, deciding it knows perfect strangers because it knew somebody else who looked similar. Look at your own attitude/outlook/thoughts if you want to find "bad". It's that voice in your head.
1
This is a classic dismissal (the only one that rivals it is "you're oversensitive" which can be applied after the most heinous of things. Want to say/do terrible things but don't like being criticised? Say the problem is that they care about terrible things. It's them, not you!) Yes, classic dismissal. Take a blank slate, perceive it as tainted, tell it it's tainted, treat it like it's tainted, when it says "I'm not tainted! Shame on you for treating me thusly" then say "geez, what an attitude"
