How is the wood cutter supposed to create without any wood? In the same sense how is the owner of the wood supposed to create anything without the help of a wood cutter? On their own, these two cannot do anything. They have to put their forces together to make stuff happen. Both agree on conditions of the trade and get to work. What else are they supposed to do? The only other way for the wood to become a chair is if the woodtutter either steals the wood or if the wood owner enslaves the wood cutter. If this selling of labour is somehow viewed as bad by marxists, then it is no wonder marxist economies are rife with shortages.
