  1. The thing is, I kinda get what this guy is saying. But I also think that these adaptations are built on so much apathy for the source material that it is outright slanderous towards fanfictions to call these adaptations such. Some if not most fanfics are honest and don't even bother to be completely lore-friendly. But Amazon seems to not care at all. I recently came across a fanfiction of the Silmarillion that turned the Valar into Space colonists, effectively turning the entire story into a sci-fi setting. That's interesting. That's nice. But Amazon won't make things like that. What they do is cash grabs, baits and switches, and hate fics.

  5. This show had the longest production time of any of the other star wars shows and there was no bullshit drama behind the scenes, and the creators have actual credentials. So many people are interested in this.

  7. It was the prequels which ramped up the ammount of aliens, wasnt it? It feels like that, but there also were aliens in the originals. Episode 6 had the most while ep 4 and 5 had not that many. At least there were not many scenes with them. But the ones that did were cramped, like the cantina scene or Jabbas palace. Did someone count them?

  13.  @BRONZALiVE  The three episodes might be the result of a contract thing about this being a series. "No episode over X minutes" or whatever, forcing the show to release three episodes at once in order to cheat the system.

  17. This would be like if in Lord of the Rings, the elves somehow are able to make the Ring of power. Multiple of them. (I know Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor did this, but it's not canon and a shite story, just like Paramounts Halo).
