  1. By Congressional reapportionments I assume you mean we should base the number of State representatives on the population of citizens only? Part of the problem with the current system is illegals are included in population. As one example of where the Dems benefit, it’s projected they’ll lose 4 Congress seats for California with proper counts.

  2. Eric Schmidt .. The New York Times had a good article a couple months ago that projected the reapportionments. The assumptions on number of illegals counted using current practices had 13 States losing or gaining seats in Congress. Twelve would lose or gain only 1 seat, including a few Rep States such as Texas and Fla. But California losing 4 is the biggest reason the Dems REALLY don’t want a proper census count.

  3. Eric Schmidt ..By the way, I agree Trump and the Republican dominated House should have dealt with this in 2017. The good news it’ll soon go back to the SCOTUS and we’ll get the change for the next census. It’s something Trump can work on during his second term.
