  1. If a storm like this was approaching America most of our media would be using 24/7 alarmist rhetoric and saying it's due to climate change or global warming. It's quite refreshing to see use of the phrase "Extremely Severe" for what's simply a natural weather event.

  2.  Bad Cattitude  ..You're right. Storms like this are far more deadly in most Asian or African countries. Mozambique is a recent example. It's a combination of lack of infrastructure and birth-rates far beyond ours.
