  2. Let's talk about the root-cause. Idiots who donate to ridiculous gofundme campaigns. If it's a known tragedy, sure. But my rule is to be a major skeptic for feel-good stories such as this.

  3. The discussion on charities is a good one. In many cases the majority of donations goes to "administration" costs. Or for marketing. Beware of charities with slick million dollar ads. . While there's lots of good that comes from charities, they're a trillion dollar business globally. And like the various religion/god-delusion scams they get massive tax breaks.
