It was "historic" all right. The first impeachment in history without an investigation or hearings. The Democrats take a crap on the Constitution....again.

@billthompson3833 ...I'm not talking about whether there's evidence Trump's guilty or not, I'm talking about the first impeachment in history without full investigations, hearings, witnesses, etc etc. The Democrats (and 10 Republicans) clearly think they can use one of the greatest powers given to the House (impeachment) without bothering to have a process for the Defense to present arguments. While I realize that can occur to some extent in the Senate (the "trial"), it's not how the process works.

@billthompson3833 ..No, I'm looking at the big picture and the principles in the Constitution. An impeachment without an investigation or hearings is an egregious abuse of Congressional powers. The precedents set by the Democrat's two impeachments of Trump will forever change how the power is used in the future, and not in a good way. I remind you the first impeachment was the first in history that wasn't based on an actual crime and had a 100% partisan vote. Bottom line, Democrat voters can never complain if a future Republican majority House impeaches a Democrat President without an investigation or hearings. Or impeaches with a 100% partisan vote.
