Some are saying there's a "systemic problem" of police brutality and racism.
The data says otherwise.
Here's some facts to ponder:
1. There's about 700,000 cops in America. Of those, about 1,200 are charged each year with crimes, including excessive force, racism, murder, fraud, etc. That means 99.9% of cops can be deemed good cops.
2. Each year there's about 10 million arrest-related activities by cops (such as George Floyd's arrest). Using the aforementioned stat, 99.999% happen without charges to officers.
Bottom line, I think the Minnesota cop's actions were criminal...and I hope he serves time.
But it's ludicrous to hate all police or think there's rampant racism or brutality based on .1% of cops and .0001% of arrests.
C'mon people, we're smarter than this.
