He hopes the strike is a short one and knows he has a lot of support from auto workers and some unions. 2. He repeats the 'America First' theme and wants auto companies to stop building plants in other countries. 3. He points out we've seen good progress in the domestic auto manufacturing industry "under his watch". Where did you conclude he "said a lot of nothing"?

  3. ​ @TheBeardedDr ..You make good points. It's good to see you're not just a troll posting anti-Trump comments with no context. We'll need to disagree on all points. As Trump said, it's logical to hope the strike isn't long, manufacturers continue to build in America, and the progress on jobs continues. (note he never said they were historic numbers). The tariffs are necessary and have worked. Short term pain for long term gain. Even Democrat leaders, including Chuck Schumer, support Trump taking on China. Someone had to do it. For many it doesn't matter what Trump does or says. He could cure cancer and they'd still criticize him. It's going to be a long next 5 years for those people. Again, good points. And it's good to see your not just the standard anti-Trumper. My thumbs up to your comment is valid.
