  1. A temporary delay. The higher courts will overturn. Canada has the third largest oil reserves in the world and the pipeline will enhance current infrastructure to more efficiently get the product to US refineries. The alternative is more oil on rail and/or buying more expensive foreign oil.

  2. Or send it on rail for a higher risk of spills and at the expense of other products. At some point the well funded anti-pipeline groups will learn they're causing more issues than they're solving.
