  1. It's interesting to think of the possible outcomes of this situation: 1. Canada's in a complete no-win. If they release her they're going to look weak and will suffer economic retaliation from the US. If they extradite her to the US, China will take actions of their own. 2. The US is in a great position. If they get the opportunity to prosecute her, they can use it as massive leverage with China. If they don't get her, they've still made it clear they're not going to put up with China's crimes. 3. China's in a lose-lose situation If they take action against Canada or the US they're essentially admitting guilt. The "human rights" case they're trying will only serve to make lawyers a lot of money.
