The story simply pointed out the natural lag (difference) between available test kits and the tests being carried out. Honest question...why do you think such information is worthy of a medal?

Look around the comment section and you'll see exactly what the WaPo wanted...ignorance and Trump hate. The entire story is based on the difference between the number of tests the Trump administration "touted" versus the number conducted. OF COURSE there was going to be a lag between the two numbers. But Trump haters don't care about such facts. And as you point out, others will worry for no reason. Fake news personified.

Do you understand there’s always going to be a difference (lag) between the number of available tests and the number of tests conducted? Honest question.

This story is the definition of fake news. If you don't see it, you're part of the problem. Hint: ask yourself if the Trump administration is directly responsible for carrying out the tests.

Finally someone gets it. This is a perfect example of media trying to push an anti-Trump narrative, knowing that Trump haters won't bother to get the facts. Note the strategic headline using the word "lagged". Then the story clarifies the whole issue is about the difference between the millions of "available" tests that were correctly "touted" by the Trump administration...and the actual "completed tests". Last I checked, the Trump administration wasn't conducting the tests...individual cities and States were. So... logically there was a "lag" in the progression. This is a non-story...and the definition of fake news.
