@lisanidog8178 ..Thanks for answering my question.
You've confirmed my fears. You've been misled by lies from Democrat leaders and media.
1. Trump followed immigration/detention policies at the border that were established by previous administrations, including Obama. In fact, some of the pictures of "kids in cages" were taken under Obama and used by media to attack Trump.
https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2018/may/29/donald-trump/trump-correctly-tweets-democrats-mistakenly-tweete/
2. The border wall had nothing to do with race. It's about better security and a deterrent to illegals. Those against a wall/fence or other structure on the border must want all the current barriers removed? For example, the one down the middle of San Diego.
3. Trump asking for proof of Obama's birth had NOTHING to do with race. It was about whether he was eligible to be President (those born in other countries aren't). Moreover, please remember that Obama isn't black, he's biracial (white mom).
4. Trump never banned Muslims. He simply put a travel ban in place for countries that support terrorism. It's the SAME BAN that Obama (and Biden) had put in place, along with dozens of other countries. Did they also ban Muslims?
And now Biden is going to remove the travel ban, allowing countries like Afganistan, Syria and Yemen to send travelers.
5. Read all the details on that old case from the 1970s. There was ZERO proof that Trump was directly involved in any decisions made by apartment managers. This is one of the worst examples people try to use as proof Trump's racist.
6. Trump never praised white supremacists. He's repeatedly condemned them. And the Democrat and media lie that he called them "fine people" has been debunked numerous times. The context of his "fine people on both sides" comment was regarding the protests on a statue removal, not the riots.
https://www.politifact.com/article/2019/apr/26/context-trumps-very-fine-people-both-sides-remarks/
7. The beliefs of Trump's relatives/ancestors doesn't make him racist. By that logic, half the country is racist.
Bottom line, you appear to be a smart person... but you've been misled by lies from Democrat leaders and media.

@1chish ..Nice try, but the "debate" (which you raised, btw) was regarding the issues Airbus has had that led to crashes and fatalities.
You're attempting to shift the discussion to overall safety statistics. Such a misdirection indicates you're unable to refute my point.
It's ok to admit when you're wrong...I do it all the time.
As well, had you looked beyond the first paragraph into the list of crashes, you'd find many cases of the pilots "fighting the airplane" and/ or misinterpreting sensors and information prior to the crash. Sound familiar?
And had you done your own research (instead of getting others to provide links) you'd find some concerning issues with a few Airbus crashes beyond pilot error, bad weather, etc. Particularly Air France 447 essentially falling out of the sky, killing over 200.
That said, I didn't want to get off on a discussion on Airbus. I simply used it as ONE example of technical/engineering issues with cars, trucks, airplanes where crashes and fatalities have occurred, yet the same model is still in use.
On another topic, I think we should be very skeptical of results of crash investigations. Companies like Boeing and Airbus spend $millions on lawyers and their own investigations to ensure final reports by "independent" bodies don't use wording or make conclusions that coould tarnish their reputation or consumer confidence. Or set them up for massive payouts to victims for negligence.
I can bottom line this chat. I agree Airbus is an excellent and very safe airplane. I will fly it confidently. Just like I will have no problem flying the Max.

@brianbatie6650 ...I agree we have to continue to work on lowering our emissions. But we certainly don’t need to be in the useless Paris Accord to do it.
Do some research on it’s effectiveness. A study in 2017 showed that NONE of the industrialized nations were meeting their commitments. Moreover, even if they were, the targets do not come close to doing enough.
The Accord is a prefect example of meaningless government rhetoric...which fits Obama, Biden and the Democrats perfectly.
And I remind you that Obama signed it by Executive Order rather than through Congress. Imagine the outcry if Trump did that.
Biden would be an idiot to rejoin. But I’m also a realist...and realize there’s a lot of “low information” Democrat voters who will think it’s a great thing. As well, the far left and ‘green new deal’ idiots in the party, such as AOC, will rejoice because it will give the government more powers.
Bottom line, I agree we need to continue to work on lowering our emissions, for which we’ve been quite successful over the past decade through technology and natural market-driven changes.
But the Paris Accord is completely useless, particularly since China, India, etc aren’t even coming close to meeting their commitments.
