  2. Over 50,000 die worldwide from the flu each year. And remember, it's usually not the actual flu virus that kills, it's the complications with other illnesses. Don't fall for the alarmist crap. Just be smart, particularly if you're in a high-risk demographic.

  3. Hate to break it to you... but the "survivalist" culture is a $Billion dollar business built on unreasonable fear. Their business model is to make people think the sky is always falling and the end is near. (by the way, the Democrats use the same strategy). They publish alarmist bullshit of the coming apocalypse. They really want you to think you need to "prepare"...and spend $hundreds or $thousands just in case. Heck, you better build a bomb shelter in the back yard like the '50s. Ask yourself the following question before spending more than a few days worth of emergency food, water: How many times in the past 100 years has any American been left to fend for themselves for more than a few days due to a major storm or other natural disaster? Bottom line, there's a 99.9% chance that 2 years worth of food and water you bought will go to waste.
