For this vid, I propose the otter has been domesticated by continuous illegal feeding in the dock area. I further propose those who filmed this encounter are likely guilty of some of that illegal feeding. Why else would they be this otter's "Favourite Kayakers"?

People learned a long time ago the can make money from 'cute' animal vids. And if the animal is wild...all the better. My scam-alert radar is going off on this vid.

  3. The Dodo, nothing personal, but I'm just curious how many times you (or others at this dock area) previously fed the otter to entice him to do this? And although the vid is adorable, do you think feeding wild animals is a good idea?

  4. 1400deadwood....the reason this wild otter is so cute and adorable is likely because of illegal feeding by people. Never bring 'tasty sardines' to any dock area. You'd be hurting the animal, not helping it.
