You should have listened. McCarthy's main point is that no party should abuse Congressional powers and rush through an impeachment with no investigations or hearings. Dems and Trump haters really need to think about this fact. If they're ok with it, they can never complain if a future Republican-majority House does the same thing.

@gbarcalow ..I remain perplexed so many people aren't looking at the big picture. Impeachment is one of the greatest Constitutional powers given to the House. That power is kept in check by the Senate and the requirement of a 2/3 majority to convict/remove. Constitutional lawyers in Trump's first impeachment spoke at length on this concept. They also warned Pelosi, Schiff, Schumer and the entire Democrat party how history would view a 100% partisan impeachment as abuse of power. Yet they did it anyway. They forever lowered the bar. Now they want to impeach with NO formal investigations or hearings! That's called "guilty until proven innocent", and not how justice works in our country. My friend, you really need to look at the big picture and think long term. The Democrat's abuse of Congressional powers and refusal to follow the principles of justice will come back to haunt them.

@KillyJoe ..Well said. And let's remember one of the best examples of hypocrisy from Democrat leaders in the past few years: "We can't impeach Trump unless it's bipartisan"---Pelosi in 2017. She lied.

@gbarcalow ..Incorrect. Trump's first impeachment vote was 100% partisan. And 2 Democrats voted against their own party. Conversely, Clinton's impeachment was bipartisan. As well, his impeachment involved actual crimes, including a felony. And I remind you that Romney's vote in the Senate to convict/remove Trump had nothing to do with the impeachment vote.
