  3.  @bt2555 ... At no point did I suggest I'm "against protecting our planet" or that I believe "everything is ok". I encourage you to read comments thoroughly before replying. My point is there's many significant influences to climate change and weather events aside from human activity. They include volcanoes, solar energy (a MASSIVE factor), natural changes to wind patterns, and the natural carbon cycle. As well, there's good evidence our planet's constantly changing position in relation to other planets can influence climate. More science needs to occur, but it's likely that Jupiter and Saturn's gravity influences our climate cycles. Furthermore, there's new theories regarding the impact on climate of our suns' position in our galactic disc. It appears we may be on a climate cycle based on tens of millions of years. Again, you'll rarely hear the MSM and climate alarmists discuss this research. The MSM also likes to throw around the words "historic", "record", "extreme", and "all time worst" when reporting weather and climate events. This is another huge lie by omission. We only have accurate weather data for about 100 years. And we only have detailed measurement of storm strength (tornadoes, hurricanes) for less than 50 years. On a 4.5 billion year old planet! Many people hear "record" and they assume it's an all-time comparison. It's mind boggling how often MSM and climate alarmists use this ploy to mislead and misinform. But there's big money in spreading unreasonable fear. Bottom line, I'm fully aware we have to be FAR more responsible. Aside from significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions we must better address pollution such as plastic in the ocean. While it's a global issue, Asian countries are particularly guilty of ruining the global environment with both plastic and carbon emissions. However it's important to remember climate change will occur, and species will go extinct, regardless of what we do, or don't do. It's been happening for 4.5 billion years due to many factors completely beyond our control. The MSM and climate alarmists lie by omission when they attribute events entirely to human activity.
