  1. "Turkey considers YPG a threat for links to a decades-long Kurdish insurgency at home". This is something US media isn't reporting. Even pro-Trump media. There's a big division in the US right now on whether getting our troops out of Northern Syria was the right move (I personally agree with the move). There needs to be more facts on exactly WHY Turkey is doing what they're doing. And I'll add that there's new reports in US media of Turkish troops committing war crimes and killing civilians. If that is proven, it will not bode well for Turkey with regards to sanctions, UN action and their standing in NATO.

  2.  @thekaduu ..I've learned a lot over the past day from talking with a number of Turkish people in comment sections. As I said, there isn't a lot of background on exactly why Turkey is attacking. You're right to point out the Kurdish YPG are considered a terrorist group by the US. And you're right that we allied with some shady groups to defeat ISIS. What isn't clear is exactly how much of Turkey's action is to deal with YPG and how much is to take land. And there's also reports that ISIS prisoners are being released by Turkey? Any clarity you provide is appreciated.
