  1. SnBalmung...Very well said...in both your comments. Rest assured there are many in the US who focus on the words "well regulated" in the 2nd Amendment rather than the last sentence. And your second comment is perfect. It speaks to the all-important principle: "The rights of the many outweigh the rights of the individual". Those who say access to guns must "never be infringed upon' are missing the point... and lack perspective on the issue. There's already significant regulations on access and types of weapons. All people like you are saying is there needs to be far more.

  2. ryland20...ignore those incapable of reading beyond 2 sentences. Well thought out opinions are far too rare on social media. Regarding your comment....I agree 100%. Gun control is a bi-partisan issue in the US. The NRA and gun industry grease both sides. And its impossible to get votes (Dem or Rep) in many states if you even suggest stricter gun controls.

  3. Ryne Green...your reference to the 4th interesting in the context of the gun issue. I think the 4th is a great example of the US courts and law makers updating interpretation of words written in the 1700s to reflect modern times. For example, the courts have repeatedly upheld the necessity of government/law enforcement to conduct "reasonable search and seizure" (the 4th paraphrased) on individuals... to protect the rights of the many. 9/11 and the DUI and immigration issue were tipping points. But can you please explain how the 8th is relevant to the gun issue?

  4. It's important to look at the root-cause of issues. The NRA is a key enabler of the delusional US gun culture. They deserve to be called out.
