The Dems will fail with their most recent political game. They're doing their best to keep it going for as long as possible and the "open hearings" will surely be more grandstanding. Trump will never be impeached. The Dems don't have the votes. And let's remember that past impeachments (Nixon, Clinton) both had significant bi-partisan support. In this case, the Dems are on their own. Worse, there's even Democrats who disagree Trump did anything impeachable. Let's face facts...at worst, he just used poor judgement. The whole impeachment inquiry circus will be yet another embarrassing loss for the Dems.

Incorrect. The Senate must support the House action. This is why Clinton wasn't officially impeached (despite committing perjury with a Grand Jury).

@jedknight4389 ..That's an odd turn into misplaced ad hominem and a specious argument. You could have been more clear in your original comment regarding your knowledge of the process. Let's just agree that the Dems don't have the votes in the Senate to formalize impeachment. That's my original point.

@jedknight4389 ..I agree anything's possible but can't imagine a scenario where the Ukraine call results in impeachment, even if some GOP Senators show their true colors (RINO). Trump used poor judgement but to remove a sitting President for something not remotely close to Nixon's crimes and Clinton's perjury would be nonsensical. Kentucky is interesting. In the big picture, they've got 8 electoral votes so they're relatively important in 2020. But since the vote was very close I'm not too concerned.
