1:15....It was nice to hear the NATO secretary general acknowledge that Trump's strong position led to other member countries finally stepping up to start paying (and doing...ie Turkey in Syria) their fair share on defense of allies. I put Trumps accomplishment with NATO as the 3rd best accomplishment thus far in his first term. (#1 is tax reforms/job growth/economy and #2 is work on domestic security).

And doing their fair share, such as Turkey in Syria. I put Trumps accomplishment with NATO in the top five thus far in his first term.

G Howard. Incorrect. It's a critical alliance. When everyone's paying their fair share. And doing their fair share of the hard work (i.e Turkey's finally helping in Syria). Trump got NATO back on track.

But I must disagree with your statement: "The Arab nations must pay ransom to the US troops for staying in the Middle East to avoid rising and recruiting of ISIS and its growth and dominance." Putting Geo-political issues aside (an entirely different discussion) the word "ransom" is illogical. The US has been doing FAR more than their fair share of battling ISIS. It was far past the time for Arab nations like Turkey to step up. That's not ransom... it's NATO countries cooperating to defeat a common enemy.

Wilderness Survival...You're right to point out the 2014 NATO agreement to try to spend 2% of GDP on defense by 2024. But less than a quarter of countries were paying that as of last year. They were dragging their feet... and counting on the US, UK and others to pay far more of their fair share. And do most of the hard work. As noted at 1:15...Trump changed all of that. Had he done nothing, I guarantee countries like France and Canada with weak leaders would just sit back and do nothing.

Wilderness Survival...Fair points. But I highly doubt Turkey would be in Syria without Trump's NATO spending ultimatum and troop withdrawal timeline. As just one tiny example. I know it's impossible for many to acknowledge Trump's successes. The NATO secretary general's comments are proof he did a great job on this issue.
