The rights of the many outweigh the rights of the individual. The SCOTUS has cited this principle in decisions involving the Constitution.

Not even close to tyranny. In case you haven't noticed, we're a nation of laws. And the rights of the many will always outweigh the rights of the individual.

@seanpizzo8256 ..Since you asked nicely, you can start by researching SCOTUS decisions on the 4th Amendment. They've directly cited the "rights of the many" principle in decisions. For example, people give up the Constitutional right against "unreasonable search and seizure" when they could be endangering the public. No warrant is necessary when the search is deemed "reasonable" and for the "public good" (rights of the many). One specific example is traffic stops/searches on public roads for DUI check stops and border/immigration stops/searches within 100 miles of the Mexican border. I could list many other examples of the principle of the "rights of the many" as it relates to the 1st and 2nd Amendments...but I trust you now get the point.

Chavvy...Incorrect. There is no “probable cause” needed for the examples I gave. The SCOTUS has deemed them Constitutional because they’re in the public good and protect the rights of the many. For DUI searches, some States have enacted their own legislation under the 10th Amendment to take traffic stop searches even further. For example, a couple States use dogs to conduct checks for drugs...with no probable cause. Also called “free sniff” laws. The SCOTUS has also deemed these as reasonable and Constitutional. Bottom line, I encourage people to do some research on countless individual rights we give up to live in a safe society.
