@Shawn-rq4py ..Your points are well stated. Many Dems seem to forget Obama's lie on the ACA was Politifact's "Lie of the Year" for 2013. I would argue his lies had a far more negative effect on average citizens than Trump's, which are primarily a result of his tendency to speak conceptually and from the heart. Details get missed using that approach. Millions becomes billions. And he rarely uses speech writers. Which Obama used constantly. I'll take occasional hyperbole and exaggeration over mind-numbing political rhetoric any day.

If I was a Democrat I'd be embarrassed at the level of current leadership. They seem to want a globalist country spending tens of $billions on non-citizens rather than its own citizens. And they clearly don't care about domestic security.

Americans learned long ago to not trust polls. And Dems should be the most skeptical. I assume you recall polls had Hillary and the Dems winning in a landslide? And projected a massive "blue wave" in the Midterms (a trickle at the end of the day). The poll argument is weak.

@Designer4952 ..The wall is mostly a metaphor to those paying attention. Trump even said it once. The issue is border security and cost effective methods to deter and stop easy illegal immigration, drug smuggling and terrorists. Both Obama and Hillary saw the benefit of expanded border barriers. I agree with the Dems we also need significantly enhanced technology along the border. Are you suggesting we do nothing?

@Designer4952 ..I agree Trump should've done more to get wall funding completed when the Reps owned the house. But he had to appease the centrists in his party to get other very significant work for the country done. Which left him with Pelosi and the Dem's. If I was Trump I too would've been shocked at their level of hypocrisy and willingness to hold the country hostage and shut down the government over a border solution both Obama and Hillary supported. Bottom line, Pelosi and the Dems now own the shutdown. Trump won the public relations/voter battle on border security long ago. Even leftist media like CNBC and MSNBC published alarming statistics and costs for illegals, undocumented, and drug smuggling. At some point the left will realize Trump's strategy on the State of the Union issue is brilliant. Don't believe me? Wait about a week.
