It's never a bad time to remind people we only have accurate data on storm strength (tornadoes, hurricanes and cyclones) for about 50 years. On a 4.5 billion year-old earth. So whenever you hear media or climate change alarmists describe storms as "Worst ever" or "Strongest of all time" or "Historic" (etc)....remember they're trying to mislead and scare you.

Goutham Krishna ..Climate change is the new religion. And like all religions, there’s big money in leveraging ignorance and unreasonable fear. And alarmist rhetoric sells...people hear phrases like “all time worst” and they’re more likely to tune in or buy the publication.

@goutham94 ..No it's real. It's been occurring for billions of years on our 4.5 billion year-old earth. Aside from the ice-ages and other major extinction events (99% of species that have existed have gone extinct), there's been countless periods with higher levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere than now. While we need to be FAR more responsible, there's many factors to climate change completely beyond our control. For example, solar energy, earth's axis-tilt, volcanic activity, tectonics, natural changes to wind patterns and ocean currents, the natural carbon cycle, etc. The climate change alarmists want everyone to think that climate change is ENTIRELY due to human activity. We're a significant factor but this statement is a flat out lie. As I said, media and climate alarmists use storms and natural weather events (floods, temperature "records", etc) to mislead and spread unreasonable fear. Hence their use of the words and phrases I mention in my original comment. They are lies-by-omission.
