I’m a conservative who’s also an atheist. So here’s my problem with all the outrage among conservatives regarding the “grooming” and “indoctrination” of children with respect to gender identity, sexual preferences etc: Why is ok to brainwash children with ludicrous fictional stories of Gods? Why is ok to teach children to fear fictional characters? Why is it ok to indoctrinate children into their parents religion/cult? And how is this different than brainwashing them regarding gender, etc? Seems many of my fellow conservatives are very hypocritical.

@lorieakin5771 ..It’s a fact that men cannot become women. It’s also fact that none of the hundreds of Gods, Goddesses, and other deities worshipped in human history have proven to be real.

@lorieakin5771 …I agree with all those morals but we sure don’t need fictional God stories to be good people. And it’s important that people who believe in the Jewish/Christian/Muslim God realize that human morals predate the story by thousands of years. There’s also moral teachings from Gods (ie. Vishnu and Krishna) currently worshipped by about a billion Hindus whose stories predate the Jesus myth by centuries. It’s really sad that parents are teaching children that morals come from a fictional character.
