  3. Officer Tatum...The only effective way to deal with the scammers is for your staff to actively block them! That's how other channels have dealt with them. Go to the comment section for your latest video. There are multiple scammers and over 500 spams comments. Block them as soon as they start! Don't let them get more than a comment or two.

  4.  @PushingDownDaisys This is the only channel I’m aware of that still has a chronic issue with the scammers. I used to see them on Shapiro’s channel, Candace’s channel, and many others, but no more. That tells you they can be defeated. Active blocking for a few videos and they’ll give up. As well, YouTube is doing a better job shutting them down after getting reports, but they can’t be as quick as Tatum’s staff. The important thing in the meantime is for everyone to realize it’s not Tatum behind the channels. I see people falling for it everyday.

  5.  @HateTheGameTX  A lot of people are very trusting (maybe too trusting) and the scammers are very convincing. They use Tatum’s profile picture and put things like “Real Officer Tatum” in their bio. I’m glad Tatum took my advice and pinned a comment about this issue. The more people that learn about the scammers the better.

  6.  @betsybabf748  Read my other comment above. They can definitely be beaten because many other channels have done it. It takes a combination of channel staff blocking accounts and the reporting of scam channels to YouTube, who can shut them down and block IP addresses.

  7.  @betsybabf748  Again, they are entirely beatable because it’s been proven by many other channels. Name another channel that has a chronic problem like this one? Tatum’s staff just need to do what Shapiro, Owens, Knowles and countless other channels did.
