Comments by "Hugh Jorgan" (@HughJorgan1) on "Navy considers reinstating fired captain" video.
The Captain allowed an internal matter with very sensitive information to get to the press. It was either incompetence and stupidity, or deliberate. He betrayed the trust of his position and showed lack of integrity. That said, I'm ok with having him reinstated. He's clearly learned to never go out of the chain of command and always protect sensitive information.

@johncnorris ...We'll have to disagree on a few points, especially your statement: "The Captain was watching his whole crew get sick and the command was not responding." You have no idea how the command was responding. Nor do I. I find it mind boggling the Captain is still getting support for his actions. I think it' a lot of emotion and presumption... over facts and logic. He betrayed trust and showed an unbelievable lack of personal integrity.

@johncnorris ...Well, that took an odd twist into ad hominem. You should do some research on the "7 Levels of Disagreement". Ad hominen is the second-worst of the 7 levels (insults are the worst). I think you're upset you got caught using emotion and presumption over facts and logic and decided to lash out. Specifically, I'll bet you're now embarrassed you made the claim the ship's issue wasn't been dealt with by command. You have zero knowledge on the specifics of their response. Nor do I. Bottom line, I encourage you to reflect on why you're using emotion and presumption to defend the Captain. The fact is he betrayed the trust of his position and showed incredibly poor judgement by allowing the leaked communication. And I encourage you to research the 7 levels of disagreement for your future chats. Remember: insults and ad hominem are useless and only serve to prove the other person's points. Have a good one.

I think he's learned his lesson and won't make the same idiotic mistake again (allowing sensitive information to get to the press and betraying trust). Reinstate him.
