  2. Canada's population is less than California. Their economy is below California, New York and Texas. It's nonsensical to ever compare them to anything we do.

  3.  @Zyphent ..it's the principle, not the amount. It wasn't the time for either party to push a partisan agenda, especially something so incredibly unrelated to the emergency. The Democrats held the country hostage because of ludicrous demands such as this. Add the $25 million they demanded for the Kennedy center and there's $100 million that could be spent on critical needs.
