The majority of comments are very positive. It’s impossible not to like this small, but historic, gesture of diplomacy by Trump.

This was a massive security breach in Kenya. If a guy can climb in to the landing gear area, imagine how easily someone could've planted a bomb. There must be an international, third-party investigation to review security in Kenya.

The amount of the Amazon that's burned this year is about .0008% of its total size. This fact seems to be lost among all the eco-anxiety and alarmist reporting by media.

Eco-anxiety is a global epidemic. It's primarily driven by ignorance. I encourage those afflicted to do some research on the history of climate change on our 4.5 billion year old planet and how most weather and storm "records" are only based on less than a century of data.

There's another side of the extremist spectrum that needs the same attention.

@_robustus_ ..Agree. My point is regarding the level of security in Kenya. Until they can show they've addressed the failure that allowed this to happen all flights from that airport should be banned.

It was a small gesture with powerful meaning. Trump understands the importance of maintaining relationships and open dialogue. The people of South Korea and Japan must absolutely love what he’s done to ease tensions.

The vid subject line's "no government help" is misleading. There's a massive gov't effort underway. Then early in the the vid, the reporter suggests there's "no aid available". Then magically... they're in an area nearby offering food and medical aid. A classic example of media lying and misleading.

Iran can't be this dumb. If they tried to develop a nuclear weapon their development and testing facilities will be massive holes in the sand. A regime such as there's will never be able to launch nuclear weapons. It's like allowing Palestine to have such weapons.

No rational person would see this as a 'snub'. Good for Russia to have talks with NK. Trump has made great progress with his diplomatic but firm approach. Time for other countries to step up. And Putin is as smart as Trump with respect to the importance of managing NK with respect to China and leveraging their natural resources.

A very good Edisonian perspective.

It was a small but powerful gesture that keeps the dialogue open. No President has set foot in NK. It sends a message of peace. It’s impossible to dislike the move. If Obama or Hillary had done it I’d say the same.

..I can't disagree with your point about Pakistan. Fortunately, they know they'd be annihilated if they ever tried to use their weapons.

leicanoct..Data on sea levels goes back only about 150 years. And projections for the future have been notoriously incorrect, like most information regarding climate change. As one infamous example, there were dire predictions made in the 90s that much of Florida would be under water by now. Al Gore’s alarmist propaganda remains the root cause of a lot of the ignorance and eco anxiety I’m referring to.

Good move by Trump. The very presence of our soldiers is a massive deterrent. If Iran is dumb enough to attack SA, and kills an American soldier in the process, they open themselves up for a far more damaging retaliatory attack.

The Amazon covers about 2 million square miles. The fires cover about 1,500 sq. miles, or about .0008%.
