  3.  @nameyourchannel7844 ..You appear to be capable of having an adult conversation. Your first comment suggested otherwise. So I'll chat for a bit. The "fact" that I mentioned in my first comment is quite clear. Here's the definition of "superstition": "A widely held but unjustified belief in supernatural causation leading to certain consequences of an action or event, or a practice based on such a belief." In addition to the fact God is a superstition, I often remind believers that following a God (pick one) is delusional, for the same core reasons. The definition of delusional is: "..a belief that's maintained despite being contradicted by reality and rational argument". To state my point another way, it's superstitious to believe a God (pick one) is responsible for anything in our 13 billion year-old universe or 4.5 billion year-old planet. Including life and our species. But don't feel bad for maintaining a delusional belief. It's very common. As well, the God superstition goes back many thousands of years. Long before your particular God story (I assume you worship the Jewish/Christian/Muslim God), there were literally hundreds of other stories. Knowing this fact, It's perplexing for rational people that there's still billions afflicted with the God superstition/delusion. Of course, we know it's primarily due to believers being brainwashed as children and/or falling victim to one of the organized religions/cults. Lastly, while I assume you've heard all the arguments against your particular superstition/delusion, I'll end with a common one: I could claim there's a Pink Unicorn in the sky who's responsible for creating the universe and life. Such a claim is EXACTLY like claiming a God did it.

  4.  @nameyourchannel7844 ..Thank you for the response and I respect your opinion. But we'll need to disagree of course. I always find it fascinating (and a bit sad) there's still people out there using arguments for superstitious stories that have been resoundingly disproven. So I see our chat as an opportunity to educate you. Firstly, I highly recommend you stop trying to prove your God story with the ridiculous claim evolution isn't fact. While it's officially called a theory, that's because science is constantly advancing knowledge. Whole you're right to suggest there are some gaps in our knowledge on the universe and the history of life, the gaps are easily filled with the mountains of other evidence. You call them "assumptions", science calls them educated hypothesis. Conversely, religion doesn't have tangible facts and evidence for their claims. So they spend their time trying to attack the gaps. But I'll come back to that. Regarding the evolution of life, I encourage you to do some research on DNA. It's perhaps the best evidence of billions of years of evolution. For example, we share the majority of our DNA with our mammalian cousins, such as pigs, apes, chimps, dogs, elephants, whales, etc. We also share some level of DNA with all other animal species. And even plants. I personally regard DNA science as the best evidence of the approx. 3.5 billion year evolution of life. As a simpler bit of proof, I encourage you to do some research on vestigial evidence of our evolution. For example, the hair follicles over our entire body, male nipples, muscles to move our ears, wisdom teeth, and our tail bone. Regarding the stories you mention, I think it's important for you to realize that the number of Christian who take a literal interpretation of the Bible and related stories is decreasing. Particularly among young people. In my experience discussing the topic (and through research) I know there's now millions of Christians who know the stories of the flood and human creation just can't be true. Therefore, they now take a more holistic view. I respect these people a lot more. Moreover, there's Christian sects such as Catholicism and Mormonism who've adapted their stories to fit new scientific knowledge. For example, the Vatican's official position is that evolution is fact. Of course, they're now trying to sell the scam that God put evolution in motion and is involved every step of the way. They call it Theistic Evolution. It's as laughable a claim as "Intelligent Design". (by the way, both arguments are easier for believers to defend than your implausible "God did it" claim...just a tip for your future chats) Now...back to your fundamental problem: those claiming a God did everything have the entire burden of proof. And extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Those who claim the 'creation' of humans in our current form, or a great worldwide flood to wipe out an earlier version, have to provide extraordinary evidence. You have nothing of the sort. And I recommend you never try the ridiculous "sedimentary layers" argument for a global flood. It's painfully flawed and illogical. Lastly, and at the risk of you going even further down the rabbit of hole of superstition/delusion, I'll ask you a simple question: 1. Since there are about a dozen scientific methods (i.e. potassium-argon and rubidium-strontium) that we can cross reference to determine the earth is about 4.5 billion years old, please explain exactly WHEN your God put the first version of life forms here? (please also tell me exactly WHERE). And then please explain when, in relation to the first life, he killed off humanity with this "flood", and replaced humans with a new version? Please be specific. And please don't simply quote your fictional book and/or myths and superstitions. I want to hear your interpretation/understanding using facts, logic and scientific principles. I look forward to your answer.

  5. NameYourChannel..Yes, it’s fascinating the universe, earth and life exist. And it’s amazing to think about those first simple life forms 3.5 billion years ago and how it’s all led to such a massive diversity of species. With all this awe inspiring knowledge, I always find it amazing theres still people who refer to fictional stories to try to explain why we’re here. Based on my many chats with believers, I can see your superstitions and delusions are particularly deep seeded. It really quite sad. The good news is you show some intelligence and understanding of scientific principles. I therefore encourage you to use that knowledge to do some more research on evolution, DNA evidence, vestigial remnants ( which you didn’t address), and the geological history of the earth. I’ve educated you on the basics, but clearly you need to delve a lot deeper. Now, back to your fundamental problem. You have the complete burden of proof for your religion’s ridiculous claims. Yet you’ve provided zero evidence. Instead, you’ve referred to a fictional book, repeated delusional arguments for superstitious beliefs, and questioned the small gaps in scientific knowledge (which I acknowledged to exist in an earlier comment). So I’ll give you another chance. You didn’t answer my question. Please review it, and provide a detailed explanation of the when and where of ‘creation’. And since you brought up fossils again, please explain those life forms in relation to the Ark story. Again, I look forward to the answer.
