  201. Linda Faraday...so you watched the full speech? That puts you in the minority of this comment section. I'm curious what you thought of the following Trump comments: 1. "The United States will honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return." 2. "With support from many countries here today, we have engaged with North Korea to replace the specter of conflict with a bold and new push for peace." 3. "The sanctions against North Korea will stay in place until denuclearization occurs. 4. "A special thanks to President Moon of South Korea, Prime Minister Abe of Japan, and President Xi of China." 5. "Following my trip to Saudi Arabia last year, the Gulf countries opened a new center to target terrorist financing. They are enforcing new sanctions, working with us to identify and track terrorist networks, and taking more responsibility for fighting terrorism and extremism in their own region." 6. "Thanks to the United States military and our partnership with many of your nations, I am pleased to report that the bloodthirsty killers known as ISIS have been driven out from the territory they once held in Iraq and Syria." 7. "As we see in Jordan, the most compassionate policy is to place refugees as close to their homes as possible to ease their eventual return to be part of the rebuilding process." 8. "We cannot allow the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism (Iran) to possess the planet’s most dangerous weapons. We cannot allow a regime that chants “Death to America,” and that threatens Israel with annihilation, to possess the means to deliver a nuclear warhead to any city on Earth. Just can't do it." 9. "The United States lost over 3 million manufacturing jobs, nearly a quarter of all steel jobs, and 60,000 factories after China joined the WTO. And we have racked up $13 trillion in trade deficits over the last two decades. But those days are over. We will no longer tolerate such abuse." 10 "Canada sucks"... (# 10 is a just kidding, are you still reading). 1 thru 9 are legitimate quotes. Do you still want to criticise the speech?

  291. Dan Mat..please read the following quotes from Trump's UN speech and let me know your thoughts. This is the news CNN won't report: 1. "The United States will honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return." 2. "With support from many countries here today, we have engaged with North Korea to replace the specter of conflict with a bold and new push for peace." 3. 293. Here's just a few things to ponder on whole Kavanaugh allegation: 1. Even Hillary has said it's only an allegation and needs "due process". 2. There zero tangible evidence thus-far for the allegation. All Dr. Ford has is a recollection of something that happened when she was 15. While (allegedly) drinking. And after she (allegedly) voluntarily went into a room with an older boy. 3. Nothing is said for over 30 years on this incident until (allegedly) she tells a phsychiatrist a few years ago. 4. She conveniently brings the incident up to the Democrats at just the right time. They sit on the information for 6 weeks. She (allegedly) wants to remain anonymous. 5. The allegation is released at just the right time. The media pounces. 6. Trump makes things worse by commenting, but that's another discussion. (Mr. President..less is more sometimes). 7. Social media, fake media, and fake-comedy shows (i.e. Colbert and Myers) fan the flames of assumption/ignorance. 8. Hundreds of thousands of keyboard warriors swear Kavanough is clearly guilty. A similar number swear Dr. Ford is clearly lying. (smh isn't an adequate reaction) 9. Ford claims she (allegedly) can't fly to Washington for hearings because she's claustrophobic due to the incident.(we're still waiting to learn if she's ever been on a plane in the past 30 years). That's pretty much it thusfar. Regardless if you're Democrat or Republican, Trump supporter or not, ...let's wait for due process before making any more conclusions. Deal?

  549. Enoch Root...It appears you didn't watch the full speech and may be getting your "news" from CNN. Please read the following SMALL sample of other Trump quotes from the speech and let me know your thoughts: 1. We will no longer tolerate such abuse."

  636. Patti Cakes...incorrect. Trump's speech was very well received. I'm curious if you're aware of it's full content? The "rest of the world" responded very well to the entire speech and the following Trump quotes: 1. We will no longer tolerate such abuse."

We will no longer tolerate such abuse."

1151.  @user-iz3gv5vo6b  ..Congratulations. You can actually have an adult conversation. I don’t condone what happened Jan 6. It was a bunch of losers and idiots who didn’t understand what Trump meant by “peacefully make your voices heard”. The main offenders, such as “horn-guy” deserve jail time. But to call it an “insurrection” is a complete insult to intelligence. And the media and Democrats are embarrassing themselves trying to make it much bigger than it was. Again, the BLM and Antifa riots (with billions in damage and many dead) were a FAR bigger attack on democracy and law and order. Moreover, the Seattle autonomous zone was an ACTUAL insurrection (as I said earlier) and Democrat leaders and Hillary had used the exact same type of rhetoric after 2016. Bottom line, I think it’s important for Democrats and Trump haters to look at the big picture and not fall for the lies on Jan 6. It’s only a desperate attempt to influence the midterms and 2024. Regarding the popular vote, you’re right, Biden won by about 7 million. I wonder if you know the following fun facts on the last 2 elections: 1. The only reason Hillary beat Trump by 3 million in the popular vote is she beat him by 5 million in CA and NY (where they’d vote for a sack of potatoes, as long as it’s blue) Figured it out yet? Trump beat her by 2 million over the remaining 48 states, which is why he won an Electoral College landslide. 2. The only reason Biden beat Trump by 7 million is he won CA and NY by that same 7 million. He and Trump were basically split down the middle over the other 48 states, with Biden winning the critical swing states. Which is why he won an Electoral College landslide. I know very few Democrats who know the true background on the voting results, particularly 2016.

1152.  @user-iz3gv5vo6b  ..Lol, whenever I venture into a CNN comment section it’s not to troll. My goal is to educate brainwashed/uninformed Democrats on facts. And I could spend all day, everyday, doing that. For example, here’s a few of the most common lies about Trump that are STILL believed by millions: 1. The lie he called white supremacists ‘fine people’. He never did. The context of his ‘fine people on both sides’ comment was a peaceful protest on a statue removal. He repeatedly condemned the white supremacist losers who later killed someone in the riots. Democrats and media have been repeating this lie for years. It’s been thoroughly debunked, even by CNN. 2. The lie Trump called all Mexicans ‘rapists and drug dealers’. The context of his comment was the criminals and gangs crossing our unsecured border. As recently as a few weeks ago I saw MSNBC repeat the lie. 3. The lie Trump banned Muslims. Another that was recently repeated, even in Congress. Trump simply implemented a travel ban on 7 Muslim countries that support terrorism. It comprised 7% of the global Muslim population and, more importantly, was almost the EXACT same ban Obama and dozens of other countries had implemented. 4. The lie Trump called Covid a hoax. Another one that’s been thoroughly debunked but is still believed by millions. The context of his hoax comment was the Democrat’s political attacks on his response to Covid. 5. The lie that Trump told people to inject themselves with bleach. Yep, there are still idiots who believe this. The context of his mention of disinfectant was the brainstorming going on among doctors about possible Covid treatments. He also mentioned UV rays. 6. The lie that Trump lied 20,000 times. The Washington Post’s counter was for “false and misleading statements” and included thousands of examples of hyperbole, exaggeration and Trump simply misspeaking. It also included thousands of examples of such whoppers as “We have the best economy” and “It was a perfect phone call”. Has Trump lied? Yes. But certainly not 20,000 times, and certainly no more than media and Democrats. I could go on and on with other lies about Trump. Hopefully you didn’t believe any of them. If so, at least now you know the facts.

1358.  @wilywascal2024  …The main problem with your rationale is that using insults and ad hominem aren’t remotely close to “honest and intelligent discourse”. They’re the two worst ways to effectively debate/disagree (I assume you know of Graham’s Hierarchy) and only accomplish one thing: make the person using them look disingenuous and obtuse. You want others to engage in effective adult discussions but aren’t willing do to the same. That my friend is hypocrisy. I’m being frank because I know you can take it. I agree there are many who come to CNN comment sections to troll and/or spread disinformation. However the Democrats and TDS crowd who dominate these sections are often doing the same. It’s rare to come across an informed Democrat who’s willing to do some actual research on the issues, such as you do. As I said, I respect that. I would argue the majority of Democrats who get their news from CNN and MSDNC are woefully uninformed. I occasionally venture into these comment sections to educate them on facts or point out examples of Democrat hypocrisy (as I did with my original comment in this section). The difference between you and I is I don’t use insults and ad hominem, even when I get dozens doing that to me. I just keep educating them. When referred to polls since 2016 I was referring to how they’ve generally become highly politicized. And the survey methodology used for many is ridiculous. All media want is a headline with “polls show” and they know the vast majority in favour of the result will use confirmation bias and not look into the methodology. The examples are endless. Lastly, since you brought up the 2016 result I’m curious if you’re aware of a Fun Fact on Hillary’s popular vote win. The only reason she beat Trump by 3 million is she won CA and NY by about 5 million votes. Figured it out yet? Trump beat Hillary by 2 million votes in the other 48 states. Hence he won an Electoral College landslide. Biden won CA and NY by 7 million and the overall popular vote by about the same, a huge difference for Trump in the Electoral College. I’ve had to educate dozens, if not hundreds, of Democrats on the facts behind the 2016 result. Democrats looked only at Hillary’s 3 million popular vote win and media brainwashed them to think the Electoral College system is flawed. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. Thanks for the chat and have a good one. I’m sure we’ll meet again down the road for a healthy debate on the issues.

1385. Levi Nunya...You make many good points. And I also appreciate effective discussion without insults and ad hominem. It’s very rare to come across a person like you in a CNN comment section. Needless to say, Trump supporters like me are in hostile territory. Your understanding of Separation of Power puts you ahead of many. I’ve had to educate countless Dems and Trump haters on Executive Privilege and the role of the Judiciary/SCOTUS. An inconvenient truth for Dems is that Trump has used the exact same powers as past Democrat Presidents, especially Obama. And an even more salient fact is the SCOTUS was involved in ALL past impeachment’s prior to Trump’s. This was the biggest mistake, among many, that the Democrats made in their rushed process. Your understanding of the importance of looking at the context of quotes also separates you from many Dem supporters and CNN viewers. I find it mind boggling how many are still buying the lies. I guarantee you there are millions of brainwashed Democrats who still think Trump called all Mexicans criminals and white supremacists fine people. As I said, it certainly doesn’t help that CNN pundits and leaders such as Bernie and Biden regularly repeat these lies. Of course, I know Trump lies too. Regarding the “Muslim ban”, I think its better described as a ban on countries that support terrorism. It’s similar to a travel ban that Obama (and many other countries) put on Muslim countries. As you point out, it has nothing to with race. Trump is keeping the promises to deal with immigration. Quickly on that point, he won a critical case in the SCOTUS the other day on merit-based immigration. We can now deny immigrants who are very likely to end up government assistance. Meanwhile, Bernie and Warren want to spend $Trillions giving illegals free healthcare! The Democrats continue to drive support to Trump with their unicorn promises and anti-America leftist garbage. But I digress. Bottom line, I see the Democrats ridiculous 100% partisan impeachment as an abuse of Congressional powers and an affront to the Constitution. We should be thankful the Senate is putting and end to their lies, incompetence, and political games. But we should all brace ourselves for another 9 months of the Democrats doing nothing for the country and attacking Trump at every turn. In fact, it’ll surely continue throughout his second term. Thanks for the chat. And again, kudos for your intelligence and ability to have an effective discussion,

1572.  @elainebrooksbank5281  ...I'd be remiss if I didn't point out another lie you've made. Trump's impeachment did not involve breaking a law. The Democrats and media lied throughout trying to brainwash people with ludicrous claims that Trump had committed "extortion, fraud and treason". Their "case" was a joke from the beginning and they eventually charged him with Obstruction of Congress and Abuse of Power. Neither is a crime. Worse, the Obstruction charge ignored Constitutional Separation of Power and the Abuse of power charge could've been levied against countless other Presidents for doing the same thing Trump did. I also remind you that Pelosi was on record during the whole 'Russia Collusion" scam that the Dems could not impeach Trump unless it was bi-partisan. Trump's 100% partisan impeachment (RINO Romney's vote was in the Senate) will go down in history as nothing more than the Dems abusing Congressional Powers and spitting on the Constitution. Trump's legacy will remain solid beyond his second term. Conversely, Clinton's impeachment was bi-partisan and involved actual crimes, including a felony. I encourage you to stop repeating lies. I know you hate Trump (and his supporters) but you shouldn't base ANY of your hate on Democrat and media lies. And yes...I know Trump lies and is no angel. I also think he used poor judgment with Ukraine. But it was ludicrous to impeach. Bottom line, he's done an excellent job for the country despite Democrat lies, hoaxes, abuse of Congressional powers and spitting on the Constitution. He deserves another four years. And I will never vote for the lying, hating Democrats. Have a good one and stay safe.

1656. Andy Grace ...You make many great points. And you get an internet gold star for being able and willing to have a rational discussion on issues. It's extremely rare. Particularly in a CNN anti-Trump comment section. My key goal with the list of quotes from Trump's speech was to educate people he said many important things and it wasn't just one sentence. I stopped after a small number and could've gone on for pages. Certain media and fake-comedy shows will, of course, focus on negativity and attacking Trump. And one or two sentences of his speech. Worse, they'll lie-by-omission and try to make people think the sky is falling. And many will continue to fall for the propaganda. The nonsensical reaction to the UN speech is similar to the Putin summit. Trump and Putin accomplished many great things. They made progress on issues of critical importance for both countries. And the world. Yet the entire discussion was about one sentence. A dumb mistake by Trump, no question, but it was illogical to ignore the many great accomplishments. Regarding your great insights, I'll stick to the numbering approach: 1. I can't disagree. The US will undoubtedly have to meddle in the affairs of other countries. We've been doing it for hundreds of years. And many who are freaking out at Russia's meddling in our last election are ignoring the fact we've been meddling in foreign elections for decades. Including propaganda, cash payments and support of rebels. Something you'll never hear from some media and fake-comedy shows. 2. We agree. 3. We agree. 4. We agree. 5. I can't disagree. The Saudi situation will continue to be very complex for Presidents. Regardless of who it is. 6. Disagree. The US was integral in lessening ISIL's impact and expansion. And Trump's words and actions (such as dropping the "mother of all bombs") sent a powerful message to them they'd best go back to their caves. 7. We agree. 8. Good points. But I agree with Trump 100% on this one. Iran cannot even think they're going to be able to want death to America and Israel (implied or otherwise) ...and have nuclear weapons. As you point out, it's similar to the North Korea situation. (another major Trump foreign policy success...thus far). 9. You're right. The US has been mostly responsible for the decline of manufacturing, corporate investment, etc. In addition to the reasons you mention, I think poor trade deals and a high corporate tax rates were part of the problem. Trump has made good progress on trade (still a long ways to go) and his significant lowering of the corporate tax rate (plus deregulation and adding other incentives) is leading to very strong levels of investment. Post-2016 numbers are excellent. (the "Trump effect" is real). Which is leading to jobs, spin-offs for small business, etc, etc. Trump's tax reforms will go down as the best legacy from his first term. Lastly, I agree we will "always have a trade deficit". But the question is how large. I like Trump's work thus far addressing the overall issues. Although international trade is supposed to be a win-win, it's far from that for many products. And there's going to be some short term pain for long term gain with respect to Trade. Even some Democrat-aligned unions are supportive of Trump's actions thus far. Again, thanks for your many good points. We may disagree on a few topics but effective discourse is woefully lacking in this vid's comment section. I have a primary comment using the same 9 speech points if you want to continue the chat there.

1706.  @andrewtomlinson5237 ..The good news is you know Trump isn't a racist. The usual answer from Democrats and Trump haters is a long list of lies and quotes taken completely out of context. Or old stories from the 80's and 90s with no basis in fact. The bad news is you show a complete lack of understanding of the big picture. For example, it's ludicrous to compare our country to the UK, Canada or Australia. We have 330 million people spread out over 50 States and territories. The combined population of California and New York is about the same as the UK. Australia? HALF the population of California. And California has 5 million more people than Canada... and a much larger economy. Moreover, before ever citing country-to-country data, learn the importance of PER CAPITA. Regarding your specific reasons for hating Trump, we simply disagree. What you call 'narcissism", I call great confidence. All great leaders need it. Don't get me wrong..Trump makes mistakes and has said some stupid things. But he's kept promises, put America (and Americans) FIRST, and the country is succeeding because of it. And I shudder to think of the damage another Democrat leader could inflict on the country. Disagree? Do some research on why Obama led the Dems to slaughter in the 2014 midterms, including an all time record increase in GOP Senate seats. Trump's landslide 2016 electoral victory came next. And some friendly advice...I encourage you to drop the ad-hominem attacks on Republicans and Trump supporters. It diminishes your opinion and makes you look like you have full blown TDS. Lastly, since you're a Trump hater, you have my sympathies. It's going to be a REALLY long next 4 years for you. Enjoy the peace and prosperity but try to pace yourself. Hate and denial isn't healthy.

1738. I respect your coherent argument, but must disagree on a number of points: 1. It's illogical to say Senator's violated their oath. Let's remember that the Senate also acquitted Clinton, despite a bipartisan impeachment and irrefutable proof of actual crimes (including a felony). Did Senators violate their oath? 2. The entire burden of proof was on the Democrats and they failed miserably. That "investigation" you refer to was rushed, flawed, biased and unfair. As McConnell repeatedly said, the Senate can't do the job of the House. 3. The Democrats could've used the SCOTUS to compel witnesses and documents in the House, but they chose not to. This was their biggest mistake. The SCOTUS was involved in all past impeachments. 4. The Senate knew they couldn't do the job of the Judiciary/SCOTUS and rule on Executive Privilege (also something McConnell said repeatedly). 5. Let's remember there was no crime in the 2 Articles. And more importantly, let's remember the Democrats said their case was "overwhelming and rock solid"...BEFORE they even got to the Senate. Bottom line, I think it's important for Democrats to accept the failure of their leaders. Schiff lied repeatedly throughout the process, Pelosi sunk their case with incompetence and political games, and Schumer's hypocrisy was on full display. Trump's impeachment will go down in history as nothing more than the Democrats abusing Congressional powers and spitting on the Constitution in a lame attempt to influence an election. It's best for Democrats to accept this fact.

1773.  @TheTardisNamedSexy ...You provide a good summary of the entire situation. For the most part, it's factual account. There's some conjecture (particularly re Guiliani's motive/role) but it's still a reasonable view from a Dem supporter's perspective. However, your bottom line is where the entire process will fail. "Extortion" isn't even close to an apt description of what occurred. Trump used, at worse, poor judgement. I know he'll never admit it using those words, but that's what it was. More importantly, here's why the Dems will fail (and not just because they don't have the votes in the Senate): 1. They'll have to reveal under oath the timing of the role of the whistleblower vis a vis his previous interactions with Dem leaders and (especially) his lawyer's 3 year mission for a "coup" and impeachment. If there's anything pre-planned, the entire case will blow up in the Dem's face. 2. Mulvaney was 100% correct when he said "get over it" with respect to countries using foreign aid ("favors") as a tool. It's what Biden was doing, it's what Obama did on multiple occasions...and it's what all Democrats know is a reality. Clinton committed one of the worst possible acts for President (Perjury, with a Grand Jury no less) and still wasn't removed from office. The reason was the Senate knew he'd fu-ked up big time, but in no way should he be removed for the mistake. There's no way Trump's poor judgement is worse than perjury. And if by some massive stretch of logic he's removed from office, he'll simply run as an independent in 2020 and will annihilate both Republicans and Democrats in many parts of the country. Bottom line, I respect your knowledge of the issues. We'll simply have to disagree that there's an impeachable offense. If that changes in the coming weeks, I'll be the first to admit it. Thanks for the chat. It's exceedingly rare in the CNN anti-Trump echo chamber to come across people that can actually can have an effective debate on issues. I'm sure we'll chat again sometime down the road.

1789.  @DavesCoolStuff ...Firstly, you're wrong to make generalizations as to how the world views Trump. Leave that garbage to CNN. You don't have a shred of valid proof to back up such claims. Secondly, a couple of your examples aren't lies, they're personal opinions, past business dealings, and foreign policy decisions, And I hope you realize that none of those examples could be construed as truly hurting the country, which is why I asked the question in the first place. Regarding the Syria issue, you really need to do some research on the geopolitical issues of the region. Turkey is a NATO ally and has been dealing with Kurdish terrorist groups based in Northern Syria for years. As well, remember that there's about 20 million Kurds living in Turkey as citizens. Moreover, both Russia and Turkey are fellow enemies of ISIS. It's great they're taking a more active role containing them. Trump's Syria strategy will go down as one of the best foreign policy legacies from his first term. I agree some of the things Trump said has "hurt others". He's said some idiotic things. But I could list dozens of examples of past Presidents saying similar stuff that hurt others. And I'll bet you could as well. Lastly, the point of my question on what Trump lies have 'hurt the country" is for you to look at the big picture. Don't buy into the CNN propaganda and ludicrous "15,000 lies" crap. Ask yourself what really matters to the country and our well being. Trump has done an excellent job...flaws and all. I look forward to his second term. And let's face it, the Democrat alternatives are nothing short of scary for the country.

1970.  The Memo  ..Lol, once again you’re very, let’s say, fact-challenged. Trump wasn’t charged with any crimes in either impeachment. Unlike Clinton, who was charged with Obstruction of Justice, Witness Tampering and Perjury (a felony). A few more Fun Facts on Trump’s impeachments: 1. The first impeachment was based on lies and the first in history to have a 100% partisan vote in the House. In fact, the Democrats couldn’t even get all their own members to go along with the scam as 3 voted against impeachment. I bet anything you had no idea that happened. 2. Pelosi had said in 2017 the Democrats mustn’t impeach Trump unless it’s bipartisan. She knew history would view such an action as massive abuse of Congressional powers. Which is exactly what happened. 3. Trump’s second impeachment was the first in history without investigations, hearings and witnesses at the House level. The Democrats were then destroyed with facts in the Senate. Don’t get me wrong, I think Trump used poor judgment in his call with Ukraine. But there was no crime. For example, there was zero evidence of “extortion” or any connection between the military aid and the meeting Ukraine wanted. The Democrats case fell apart literally with their first star witness (who “presumed” what Trump wanted)….and it went downhill from there. Which was why even 3 Democrats voted against impeachment. Lol! Re Jan 6, no rational person thinks it was a “coup” or “insurrection”. It was bunch of idiots and losers (one wearing horns) who didn’t understand what Trump meant by “Peacefully make your voices heard at the Capitol”. Bet you didn’t know he said that. One last Fun Fact: By definition, the BLM and Antifa “Autonomous Zone” in the middle of Seattle was an ACTUAL insurrection.

2038. Sander Ananas..You ruined your comment with brutal insults and ad hominem. I’ll never understand why people would insult random strangers on the internet simply because they don’t agree with them. Worse, its a completely useless way to try to make a point, or convince the other person, or win a debate. Google “7 levels of disagreement” and note the bottom 3 levels. That’s where your the vast majority of your comment resides. If I’m generous, you achieved level 4—“Contradiction”, which is still a very poor way to disagree. But don’t feel bad...You’ll note that “Anne” also used multiple insults. As well, you’ll note the first reply to me didn’t bother to address the central topic at all and just used an ad hominem attack. So you’ve made it 3 for 3. It’s perplexing. If you want to have an adult conversation, try to get up into levels 5 and 6. If you believe in alien-piloted UFOs, show the evidence. And remember the definition of evidence...it’s verifiable facts. Evidence is NOT conspiracy theories, unverifiable claims, presumption, or a long list of questions. Do not provide links me to some nutjob conspiracy site showing doctored photos or feeding ignorance with wild unproven theories. Lastly, you made another error in reasoning in your comment. The burden of proof always lies with those making a claim. Claims made without evidence do not have to be disproven. In other words, it’s nonsensical to ask a person to prove why they don’t believe something. It’s already implied...it’s because there’s no facts, logic and evidence. The best example of the burden-of-proof concept is with regards to the God delusion. You often hear believers say “You can’t prove God doesn’t exist”. Such a comment is completely nonsensical and an insult to intelligence. Bottom line, I fully understand the gullibility of the human species.

2210. Since this is a CNN anti-Trump comment section I thought it might be a good idea to provide just a few quotes from Trump's speech that should matter to Americans. The full speech is available on Politico. Read the full speech to get context to the following Trump quotes: 1. We will no longer tolerate such abuse." Etc. etc

2278.  @Dean4511 ..Sorry, but that's a very confusing summary to your opinion...and one that I can't let go. Your central premise throughout the chat has been we just "can't know" about a higher power. You've said repeatedly that it's "arrogant" to think we do. Yet you're now contradicting that premise by claiming that God isn't fictional?! It's important you realize this is a massive contradiction to your previous points. One that makes your entire argument misleading and flawed. Moreover, you're now saying by inference (and a lack of an argument to the contrary) that an invisible Pink Unicorn in the sky isn't fictional! Again, a very confusing twist in your position. I hope you learn from our discussion to start with your true opinion rather than mislead. Since you think a God is possible, but an Invisible Pink Unicorn isn't, why not just say that up front. (But of course, you must then be prepared to answer exactly why the Pink Unicorn isn't plausible, while a God is.) Bottom line, I still respect your opinion and your ability to have an effective discussion. I encourage you to learn from our chat that the best possible argument in favor of the God superstition/delusion is to start with something you said in one of your comments: You "HOPE" your particular God story is true. "Hope" is all that those who believe in a God (pick one) have. It's exactly like the hope some delusional people have that there's an invisible Pink Unicorn in the sky. It's best to just admit to yourself that all you have is a lot of questions and a lot of hope. And I encourage you to take a different tact in your next chat with a non-believer of either a God, or a Pink Unicorn in the sky. Thanks again.

2282.  @lauriejo5810 ...Unfortunately, you've proved my point about brainwashed Democrats and Trump haters. As did "Carla g". I was hoping you had educated yourself on facts, but that's not the case. My primary goal is to educate people, so here's the facts on the points I mentioned: 1. The context of Trump's "fine people" comment was the protests on a statue removal, not the riots that came later. In the same interview he condemned the white supremacist idiots. (link below) By the way, Biden similarly called a group supporting Confederate history "fine people" in 1993. https://www.politifact.com/article/2019/apr/26/context-trumps-very-fine-people-both-sides-remarks/ 2. The context of Trump's "rapists and drug dealers" comment was the criminals crossing our unsecure border. His speech has been trimmed down to make it appear he was referring to all Mexicans. He wasn't. 3. Trump never fully banned Muslims. In the 2015 speech when he spoke of a ban we were at the height of ISIS and global terrorism. After he was elected, he implemented a travel ban on Muslim countries that support terrorism. It was essentially the SAME BAN that Obama had put in place. 4. Trump never called Covid a hoax. The context of his use of the word was the Democrats attacking his response to Covid. He said it was just like their impeachment hoax. https://www.factcheck.org/2020/04/democratic-ad-twists-trumps-hoax-comment/ 5. The Democrat and media claim Trump told people to inject disinfectant is one of their worse lies. The context of his comment was the brainstorming on possible treatment options. Media spun the comment to brainwash. 6. Do some research on Trump's "20,000" lies. The list includes him saying things like "we have the best economy" (which is counted thousands of times) and "it was a perfect phone call". Yep...his oft-repeated reference to the call with Ukraine is counted as a lie over a hundred times. I could go on. Listen, I know I'll never change your mind on your hate for Trump (and his supporters). But don't be one of the brainwashed people who's fallen for the lies. Educate yourself. Have a good one.

2307.  @user-iz3gv5vo6b  …The CA and NY votes matter. It’s just important for Democrats to realize that the rest of the country is basically divided right down the middle. Once they know the real numbers behind the popular vote they realize Potato Joe has a very weak mandate. And the recent Virginia Governor results (plus brutal poll #s) show things are looking really good for a red wave this fall and into 2024. You really shouldn’t be focusing on all the ‘orange man bad’ crap. That’s exactly what media and Democrat leaders want. They want to distract you from their hypocrisy, incompetence, and massive failures domestically and in foreign policy. And you can’t honestly think Potato Joe and cackling Harris are doing a good job for the country? Worst President and VP in history, and we’re only a year in. Here’s a few fun facts on incompetent Biden I bet you’re unaware of: 1. His Keystone pipeline cancellation killed thousands of jobs and drove up gas prices. He then removed Trump-era sanctions on a major Russian pipeline (a huge win for Putin) and begged OPEC to increase oil production. Hypocrisy personified. 2. The Afghanistan withdrawal debacle is well documented but I bet you don’t know about the whistleblower who exposed a Biden conversation with the Afghan President in July (a month before the withdrawal) where he told him to mislead the world on the Taliban’s strength. An impeachable offence if there ever was one. 3. Biden lied repeatedly about the vaccine. First he suggested it was a Democrat achievement that wasn’t ready when he took over, then he repeatedly claimed there was no distribution plan. Lies. 4. Biden recently proved he really has no clue what’s going on. When asked by a reporter if it’s true the government is considering paying illegals separated at the border $400k he said no way, it’s a “garbage story”. Next day his handlers had to walk it back. 5. Biden has repeatedly lied about the true cost of his spending plans. He counts on the Democrat’s ignorant voter base to think it’ll all be paid for with fairy dust and won’t impact inflation and the debt. 6. Bet you don’t know we’re spending $Billions to companies to NOT build border barriers. They had contracts. And bet you don’t know that Biden has had to reinstate Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. CNN and MSNBC have avoided that story like the plague. 7. Lastly, Biden has repeatedly said “President Harris”, fell asleep at the Climate conference, farted on a member of the Royal Family, got lost at the G20, confused Syria with Libya in a speech, and repeatedly confused vaccines and pills in his New Year’s interview. And he won by 7 million!? smh

2375.  @kquat7899  ..1.The fact you realize Trump is innocent until proven guilty makes you smarter than about 95% of Democrats and Trump haters. 2. There’s been 2 major investigations into the riot and a bunch of people are in prison. 3. You’re only partly right. Trump’s first impeachment was a 100% partisan vote in the House, the first in history. In fact, the Democrats couldn’t even get all their own members to go along with the lies as 2 voted against impeachment. Bet you didn’t know that. Romney’s sole guilty vote in the Senate was completely meaningless. The Democrats subsequently took another crap on the Constitution and again abused Congressional powers in the 2nd impeachment by having NO witnesses, hearing or investigations at the House level, the first time in history that’s happened. They were then slaughtered with facts in the Senate. The House Republicans who voted to impeach embarrassed themselves for supporting a sham process and we’re then were proven wrong in the Senate. 4. Nope, Executive Privilege continues. Obama and Clinton could still claim Executive Privilege. That said, the SCOTUS will likely rule on the concept. The stakes are huge if they deny Trump’s rights. It would mean no former President would be safe from partisan witch hunts. For example, if the GOP takes back the House and Senate next fall they could immediately start an investigation into Obama’s knowledge of the corrupt Steele Dossier, the illegal spying on Trump’s campaign, and the Russia Collusion lies. I trust you’d be ok with that?

2446. Kirk Daniels ..Among the most ludicrous arguments against Trump’s massive accomplishments is saying they have anything to do with Obama. That was debunked years ago. It’s a CNN talking point that’s typical of their lies and propaganda. The many economic records are because Trump overturned Obama era policies and implemented countless new ones. For example, the corporate tax reforms that lit a rocket under investment and job growth. Or the new capital investment incentives that have companies investing in America rather than other countries. This has meant jobs and money for small businesses and infrastructure. And median middle class income is at the highest level in history. It’s grown by $ thousands more under Trump than Obama. If you wonder why Trump’s rally’s have so many people, look no further than that statistic. Obama led the worst recovery from recession in history (google it) and added 10 $Trillion to national debt creating a false economy. Because of this, he led the Democrats to decimation in the 2014 midterms and to Trump’s landslide electoral victory in 2016. Bottom line, the country is doing excellent, and would be doing even better if the Democrats did some real work for the people. For example, there’s bi partisan legislation like the new North American Trade deal and another that would lower prescription drug costs, but the Dems know they’ll help the economy get even stronger, and help all Americans. They can’t have that. It’ll be another major Trump accomplishment. The Dems are all about political games and hurting the country as much as possible leading up to 2020 Bottom line, I encourage people to learn facts and stop watching CNN. Trump’s done more for the country in 3 years than Obama in 8.

2639.  @PremierCCGuyMMXVI ..Thank you for the response, it shows intelligence. I don't mean that to sound condescending. It's just that many people who think the sky is falling regarding climate change are often believers in a "God" (pick one) and/or think the earth is only 10,000 years old. Yep...there's 10s of millions of Americans who believe the Adam and Eve and Noah's Ark stories are factual events. smh But I digress. I appreciate all the links you provided but I've read all the science. I agree we're in a relatively rapid state of climate change. There's enough verifiable science. For example, it's a greater rate of change than the 'Medieval Warming Period' and "Mini Ice Age" from about the years 500 1700. That said...and let's not debate the details... I also think there's a massive amount of presumption, and confirmation bias in climate change data. For example, please do some research on the government funding and donations provided to "climate change" organizations. It's big business. Let's just say the brainwashed Swedish girl and her parents have done very, very well. As have the "extinction" cults and countless other scams that prey on the weak and stupid with fear mongering and misinformation. My bottom line is this: 1. Climate change is real. 2. There's no doubt human activity is a factor in the recent shifts, and we need to be FAR more responsible with pollution. 3. But the claim that human activity is the ONLY cause of climate change on our 4.5 billion year old planet is the lie of the century. Again, let's not debate details. Thanks for the response and I'm glad you have knowledge of the big picture.

2681.  @paulkern7229 ..Fair points and it's always refreshing to read comments devoid of insults or ad hominem. It's rare in a CNN comment section. We disagree that Trump asking for corruption to be investigated and delaying foreign aid (two separate events) is even close to an impeachable offense, let alone a betrayal of trust or integrity. Not even remotely close. And I'm not the least bit worried about poll data. Support for Trump is rock solid and the Democrat's circus has only helped him for 2020. They've also forever lowered the bar for impeachment and made completely partisan coup attempts acceptable to their base. I find it perplexing how many Dem supporters don't see this fact. After Trump's second term is over and Ivanka or Don Jr complete their 8 years, the next Democrat President best watch out for a partisan impeachment based on hearsay, assumptions, people's "understanding", and wild accusations of some massive crime. (The Ivanka/Don. Jr point is just to see if you read comments thoroughly) Bottom line, we disagree 100% that what Clinton lied about is remotely relevant. Perjury is one of the worse possible crimes for a President. Which is why his impeachment was bi-partisan, with 31 Democrat members of Congress voting with the Republicans. Clearly they disagree with you on the seriousness of Perjury. Along with Clinton's Obstruction of Justice, of course. Again, there's no chance Trump gets removed by the Senate. It's ok that we completely disagree. Thanks for the chat.

2777. tcphll  Very well said. Although I stand by my final sentence 100%, I congratulate you for understanding the importance of context! You get it. You're in the minority. Particularly in a CNN anti-Trump propaganda vid. On that theme, I'm curious what do you think of the following quotes from Trump's excellent speech. Its a very small sample so feel free to add to the list: 1. We will no longer tolerate such abuse."

3045.  @Raptoraddict6610  …I disagree. Trump made mistakes but was an excellent President overall. Certainly better than the debacle known as the Biden administration. And while you’re basing your opinion on emotion (your hate of Trump) all I’ve done is cite facts regarding the impeachments. You can try to deflect but the inconvenient truths for Democrats and Trump haters will never change: 1. Pelosi knew history would view a 100% partisan impeachment of a President as massive abuse of Congressional powers, hence her 2017 comment. 2. Moreover, Congressional lawyers repeatedly warned the Democrats of proceeding with an impeachment of a Republican President that wasn’t based on crimes. As a comparison, look at the bipartisan impeachment of Bill Clinton, which was based on the major crimes of Perjury (a felony), Witness Tampering, and Obstruction of Justice. 3. The fact that a couple House Democrats voted AGAINST impeachment should tell you the level of lies that were exposed in the hearings, particularly the fact there was zero evidence tying Trump’s phone call to the delay in military aid. 4. Trump’s second impeachment (while bipartisan) had no investigations, hearings or witnesses at the House level. This was a major affront to Justice. Democrats were warned but went ahead anyway, which forever set another very dangerous precedent (the other being a 100% partisan impeachment). 5. It’s worth repeating: Democrat voters like you can now NEVER get upset if a future Republican majority House conducts a 100% partisan impeachment of a Democrat President or one without hearings or investigations at the House level. Think about that. Bottom line, you can hate Trump all you want and can try to bring up the impeachments as a bad thing for his legacy. But just make sure you’re looking at the facts and big picture.

3221.  @makeracistsafraidagain  ..Crickets. That’s actually good news because it proves you don’t have any valid examples of Trump being racist. There may be hope for you after all. By the way, here are the most common lies about Trump: 1. That lie that he called white supremacists ‘fine people’. Nope, he said there were fine people on both sides of a peaceful protest of a statue removal. He condemned the riot that came later and condemned the white supremacist losers who caused violence. The ‘fine people’ lie has been thoroughly debunked but there are still brainwashed Democrats who believe it. 2. The lie that he called all Mexicans ‘rapists and drug dealers’. Nope, he was referring to the criminals and gangs coming over our unsecured border. 3. The lie that he banned Muslims. Nope, he simply put a travel ban on 7 Muslim countries that support terrorism. It was essentially the exact same ban that Obama and dozens of other countries had placed. There’s a bunch of other lies but I hope you get the point. The whole “Trump is racist” scam has been completely debunked. Meanwhile, Biden said if you don’t vote for him “you ain’t black”, recently suggested blacks and Hispanics may not know how to use the internet, said black entrepreneurs may not know how to find an accountant, and of course made the infamous quote about Obama being “a clean and well spoken” black man. The hypocrisy of people on your side is off the charts. Bottom line, if I was wrong and you really believed the lies I mentioned just ask yourself the following simple question: Would someone as brilliant as Candace Owens and Larry Elder ever support Trump if there was a single valid example of him being racist? They wouldn’t.

3354. Ralph Imanyara....You seem angry. I'm curious if you watched Trump's full speech? If not, here's a SMALL sample of why Trump did an excellent job (full transcript of the speech available on Politico): 1. We will no longer tolerate such abuse."

3522. Lunell Kruger...Watch speeches or interviews from Bernie, Biden etc and you’ll hear them call Trump names and repeat blatant lies. For example, they both recently repeated the lie that Trump called white supremacists fine people. He never did. He said their were “fine people on both sides” of some protests on a statue removal in Charlottesville. He condemned the idiot white supremacists who were involved in the riots that occurred much later. Google “context of Trump’s fine people quote” to learn for yourself. This is just one example of how Dem leaders spread ignorance and hate. Listen, I know Trump has said some stupid things. And I know he’s lied. But I focus on results. He’s kept promises and done an excellent job for the country. I also don’t care what he did or said before he became a President. I find it mind boggling there’s still people like yourself who think repeating garbage from his past will make any difference to a Trump supporter. We focus on the job he’s done sine 2016, nothing else. Moreover, every President has lied and had scandals. Some much worse than others but it’s an important thing to remember. But I also focus on their results for the country, even if they’re Democrat. Trump gets thousands at his rallies and currently has a stronger approval rating than Obama ever had because he puts America first and has indeed made us great again. He’s looking stronger than ever for a second term because of the job he’s done, and the corruption, lies and utter incompetence of the Democrats.

3557.  @ValerieJNorse ..Good points. And kudos for your ability to have an adult conversation. It's very rare in a CNN comment section, particularly for a Trump supporter like me. You're right on the depth of the recession. But unfortunately, Obama's approach was flawed. He did the typical Democrat thing, which was use debt and add more taxes. Not only did that hurt consumer confidence, his increased capital gains taxes and ignorance on the importance of corporate investment on the economy led to (again) the worst recovery in history. Regarding corporate investment, Trump's lowering of the tax rate to compete with other countries (particularly Canada and Mexico) will likely go down as the best economic legacy from his first term. It lit a rocket under investment and job growth. For example, early in Trump's term Apple announced a half $Trillion in new spending in America..and attributed it entirely to Trump. Regarding the new NAFTA, I encourage you to look at the details. Trump ensured we won the deal in major ways, especially for dairy farmers, car manufacturers and the price of prescription drugs. Lastly, all NATO countries made a commitment in 2014 (under Obama) to spend 2% of GDP on defense by 2024. As of 2018, only 5 or 6 countries (out of 29) were meeting this goal. And we've been exceeding it for decades. Trump put major pressure on other NATO countries to stop taking advantage of us and get their proverbial shit together, particularly Germany, France, Turkey and Canada (the UK has been meeting the target). Since Trump took office, NATO spending has gone up by many $Billions...and countries are accelerating their timelines to meet the 2024 goal.
