The Executive Branch can legally defy subpoena's from Congress. The separation of power helps stop Congressional overreach and political games. Past Democrat administrations have defied subpoenas by Republican-led committees. Did you think they should be held in contempt?

The Executive Branch isn't legally required to meet requests from Congressional committees. Past Presidents have used this Constitutional separation of power to suppress overreach and political games. Including Democrat administrations.

@darnelltobar9726 ..Give the following a good read, including the linked court cases. Trump and the Executive Branch are well within their rights. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contempt_of_Congress

Nope. There's no legal requirement for members of the Executive Branch to respond to Congress. This Constitutional separation of power helps prevent political games. Which is why both Clinton and Obama used the same approach as Trump to defy Congress.

The Executive Branch isn't legally required to respond to Congressional subpeonas. Clinton and Obama both used similar Executive privilege as Trump to defy Congressional overreach and political games. Did you think the justice system failed then too?

Did you say the same when Obama and Clinton used Executive privilege to defy Congress? The Executive Branch isn't legally required to meet requests from Congressional committees. Congress isn't all-powerful. They must be prevented from overreach and political games. By both sides.

The Executive Branch isn't legally required to meet requests from Congressional committees. Of course, CNN doesn't report that both Clinton and Obama used similar Executive privilege. Congress isn't all-powerful. They must be prevented from overreach and political games. By both sides.

@tomschmitz5745 ..See attached article from a very anti-Trump source. Obama and Clinton both used Executive privilege. For the same reason's as Trump. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/05/01/trump-resists-congressional-subpoenas-thats-what-presidents-do/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.4454d914ad79
