For what? Asking for corruption to be investigated and leveraging Constitutional Separation of Power? (the "Obstruction of Congress" charge is a joke) Remember back when it was "bribery, extortion, treason" and other high crimes? The Democrat's incompetence and political games are an insult to the country.

@jonesfactor9 ..I remind you of Separation of Power, which is a critical part of our Constitution. Congress isn't all-powerful. If they wanted to try to force the White House to abide by subpoenas, they could've taken it to the SCOTUS. SInce they know they'd have likely lost and were rushing the impeachment circus based on the 2020 election, they didn't. This is the fundamental flaw in the "obstruction of congress" charge, and why it's a joke. The other charge is already a non-starter. And I'm always perplexed when Democrat supporters say "if he's innocent, why not cooperate?". Such a view is nonsensical. People are innocent until proven guilty. Why on earth would they cooperate. I'll use a basic example of the concept: Let's say I accuse you of having an illegal gun in your home. I then demand to search your home to find it. What's your defense? Do you let me search your home, knowing you don't have an illegal gun, or do you say fu-k off, I don't have to show you sh-t?! I hope you agree the latter approach is the smart one. The Democrats have been on a witch hunt since 2016. Trump has been very smart to leverage Separation of Power. If the Democrat's want to bring the issue to the SCOTUS, they can. By the way, past Democrat Presidents and administrations have also ignored Congressional subpeonas. For the Dems to use it as a basis for impeachment is idiotic. Even more idiotic than the abuse of power charge. Trump wins...and the Dems lose, once again.

@terrygonzalez5270 ..Firstly, past impeachment proceedings were different. Particularly Clinton's, which was bi-partisan (Trump's is entirely partisan). Secondly, Congressional subpoenas to the Executive Branch are different than citizen subpoenas. To compare the two is highly illogical. Moreover, I encourage you to do some research on the role of the SCOTUS as it relates to Separation of Power, and the conditions under which the Executive Branch can defy Congressional subpoenas. Your research will show Trump's been smart to leverage his powers to prevent Congressional Abuse of Power and political games. And the Democrats know it. If they weren't so incompetent and rushing impeachment, they'd have taken the issue to the SCOTUS for a decision. Bottom line, the "Obstruction of Congress" charge is indeed a joke and Trump wins...again.

@barrywalls7175 ..Firstly, since you're not from our country I truly hope you're not getting all your information from CNN. There's zero evidence of Trump committing a "crime". In fact, if you've been following the impeachment circus, the Democrats (and CNN) have gone from "bribery, extortion and treason" to the ridiculous "abuse of power and obstruction of congress". The first isn't a crime and the second is up to the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) to decide. We have a clear Separation of Power in our Constitution that gives the President the ability to defy Congressional subpoenas. The Democrats could've have taken the issue to the SCOTUS, but didn't for two key reasons: 1. They know they'd lose, and 2. They were rushing the impeachment process because of the 2020 elections. Bottom line, the Dem's impeachment circus was doomed to fail since day one. Support for Trump (and against impeachment) is up significantly in the past few weeks. All the Dems have accomplished is embarrass themselves and help Trump get re-elected in 2020.

Guilty of what crime? Remember back when it was some high crime like bribery, extortion or treason? The Democrat's "focus group impeachment" failed miserably. It's far past the time for Dem supporters to admit their leadership is incompetent and corrupt. All they've accomplished is to help Trump get a second term.

If you mean he asked for corruption to be investigated (as per international agreements), delayed foreign aid (a separate action) and didn't cooperate with Congress on a flawed and blatantly partisan political witch hunt...then yes, I and everyone "knows it". And remember back to the good old days when it was "bribery, extortion and treason"? What a joke. And remember...Clinton's impeachment was bi-partisan, with 31 Democrats voting for the inquiry and 5 voting to impeach. Compare that with zero Republicans voting for the inquiry (and 2 Democrats even breaking party lines and voting against it) and a sure-to-be zero voting to impeach. This circus was doomed to fail in the Senate from day 1.

All they accomplished with the impeachment circus is to forever put Presidents at risk of a partisan impeachment to influence an election, and solidify (and grow) Trump's support for a second term.
