CNN comment sections are dripping with TDS. The speech was excellent and Trump's winning...and they know it. So they have to criticize his appearance or cherry pick a few words. And just watch the propaganda media do the same. Everyone should be very happy there's no escalation of the conflict. Iran knew they'd be a big hole in the ground if someone had died. Time to move on to peace and prosperity for their people...just as Trump has been saying all along.

Liberal logic. And a lot of TDS.

So you can read minds. That's quite a skill. smh

Well, it's looked good for the past 3 years but it's been helped tremendously by the Democrat's utter incompetence and a meaningless partisan impeachment that's abuse of power and spitting on the Constitution. But no question, showing great toughness balanced with diplomacy with Iran will help.

It's a speech that will go down as one of the many great legacies from his first term. It was very tough, but also diplomatic.

Trump's speech was excellent. He was tough but diplomatic. Propaganda media have nothing to spin and the Democrats look like complete idiots..again.

@Orionwayz ...I disagree. This was perfect response from Trump. Iran was very smart to ensure there were no casualties or today would've been very different. Trump has said all along he doesn't want war with Iran. They just need to understand terrorism has to stop they will never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon under his watch. Trump's lines in the sand are real (unlike Obama's) and Iran has a dead terrorist General as proof.
1
GEORGIA PECAN! ...Scared? Nope. Trump drew a line in the sand with Iran when they shot down the drone and said our response would've been MUCH different if someone died. Fast forward to Iran killing an American...so it's bye bye terrorist General. Then Trump warned Iran to choose their next move VERY carefully. Which they did (to their credit). You appear to want war. Such a view is irrational.

GEORGIA PECAN! ..Again, it's irrational to want war. Iran didn't really "try"...they gave multiple warnings and ensured no one was killed. They didn't try to kill because they KNEW Trump was dead serious with his threat to attack multiple sites in Iran (52 to be exact) with all the might of the US military if they weren't very careful with their reaction to the dead terrorist General. To Iran's credit, they were very smart to make only a minor, non-lethal attack. And even smarter, they sent out a message that they don't want war or escalation. Rational people are looking at the big picture and celebrating no escalations or war. You should try to do the same. And by the way...Trump's winning. Again.

You've never misspoke in your life? Only someone with a serious case of TDS would cherry pick a couple lines from this excellent speech. But don't feel bad, your're not alone in a CNN comment section. We should all be happy with Trump's tough but diplomatic response. Iran didn't want an escalation and they now know Trump's lines in the sand are real (unlike Obama's).

@saeedmahjoori ..Your wisdom in these tough times deserves major respect. I agree with you 100%. War is not the solution. Trump wants peace and prosperity for the Iranian people..he's said it many times, including in today's speech. I really hope our countries can work together moving forward.

@saeedmahjoori ..Thank you for the interesting insights. You have my sympathies for the great difficulties in your country. We've heard about the problems and corruption. And we've seen the protests. Clearly, Iran's leaders needs to do a much better job for their people. The solutions are so amazingly easy: 1. They must stop all terrorist activities, including the support for militias and major terror groups throughout the middle east (and world). 2. They must accept that Iran will never be allowed to develop nuclear capability. This includes accepting UN inspections and monitoring. With these two steps, Iran could get sanctions eliminated and unleash prosperity for you, and all Iranians. Regarding your mention of the propaganda saying Trump would target heritage sites...no chance. He said "cultural" sites and knows the international laws. His rhetoric was intended to make it crystal clear to Iran to be VERY careful in their response to Suliemani's death. To Iran's great credit, they were careful. Let's hope your leaders make wise decisions moving forward and seek peace and prosperity for you and all Iranians. And please remember that it's not just President Trump who wants peace and prosperity for the Iranian people..It's the UN, NATO and the whole world. Thanks for the chat. And we agree on the most important point: NO WAR. I wish you all the best.

Nice to see all the CNN viewers giving Trump's excellent speech a thumbs up.

@Sinister Veritas..Do some research on what Iran has been up to the past couple years. You'll find in your research that Trump drew a line in the sand when they hijacked ships of our allies and shot down a drone. He said our response would've been "VERY different" if some had died. Fast forward to Iran attacking a base and killing an American. So it was bye bye terrorist General. Then Trump warned Iran to be VERY careful with their response, which they were.. to their credit. Now it's time to move on to what Trump has wanted from day one..peace and prosperity for the Iranian people. As he reiterated in his great speech, it's very simple to achieve: 1. Iran must stop all terrorist activities. 2. Iran must realize they'll never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon. The ball's in their court.
