Benjle Waston..Your rationale for giving free healthcare to illegals is highly illogical. Firstly, you present a specious argument that it’s more expensive if they use emergency or get sick. Giving hundreds of thousands free healthcare will be FAR more costly. Secondly, it’s nonsensical to suggest they need free healthcare so they can work. They shouldn’t be working in the first place. They need to apply for citizenship and get in line. Lastly, I find it perplexing those supporting free healthcare for illegals aren’t looking at the big picture. It would lead to an even bigger crisis at our border.

@blakelewison9872 ..Since you're not paying taxes in America your opinion in favor of illegals getting free healthcare is taken with skepticism. And healthcare during travel is a completely different scenario. Aside from the fact it's never truly free, any responsible traveler has insurance of some kind. Please research issues before commenting. We have Democrat leaders like Sanders and Warren proposing free healthcare for people who have entered the country illegally. This includes convicted criminals currently being sheltered by "sanctuary laws" (i.e. California) and gang members, human traffickers, drug dealers, etc etc. Such a program would cost taxpayers $Trillions and be completely unsustainable without massive increases to taxes, including on the middle class (Bernie's unicorn math acknowledges this fact). I fully support legal immigration and legitimate refugee claims. But free healthcare would add $trillions to national debt and create an even bigger border crisis.

@jalite1991 ..I encourage you to think of all citizens not just yourself. National debt was doubled under Obama. If we put another Democrat in the White House it'll likely triple. You may think you're coming out ahead on Bernie's unicorn policy of "free" healthcare, but many wouldn't. And please answer one simple question: Do you agree with Bernie that illegals/undocumented should receive free healthcare?

joshbreaksk8IN..We agree. There are many root causes of the problem of illegals that need fixing before we start giving them free healthcare. I support paths to citizenship with proper vetting. I find it mind boggling there’s actually people supporting Bernie and Warren’s unicorn promises. Their support is dropping like a stone. No rational person should support giving free healthcare to illegals.

It's inaccurate to say that "all citizens will pay less" under Bernie's plan. In fact, this an egregious lie that shows the depth of Bernie's unicorn policies and demagoguery. 2. I strongly encourage you to seek facts on his "plan". Be sure to look beyond CNN and Democrat sources. 3. Your argument in favor of free medicare for illegals/undocumented is among the weakest I've heard. For example, not every illegal is picking crops and a tiny percentage go to the emergency room. 4. So....do you also support free healthcare for illegals who are members of drug cartels, gangs, human traffickers, etc?

@jalite1991 ..And please realize there's a massive difference between debt and deficit. Bernie's unicorn policies and "free" stuff are projected to add 10s of $Trillions to national debt. Google "Cost of Bernie's free healthcare" and pick your source. And Warren's plan is even worse. Bottom line, if you want higher taxes on the middle class, 10s of $trillions in new national debt, less corporate investment in jobs, economy-killing globalist policies, and "free healthcare for illegals...vote Bernie! (that last part was sarcasm)

Secondly, his administrations are responsible for about $10 Trillion to the current national debt, and he doubled it. It wasn't an "extra $5 trillion". You need to accept this fact and not confuse it with deficits. Thirdly, Trump's accomplishments for the economy have been historic in many respects. For example, corporate investment, job growth, and the highest increase in median Middle Class income levels in history (FAR more than under Obama, despite the false economy propped up with 10 $Trillion in new debt). If you wonder why Trump's rallies have thousands, look no further than the middle class statistic. And before you try to claim the Trump economy, GDP, record Stock Market etc are all due to Obama policies...that lie has been thoroughly debunked. We're succeeding under Trump because of historic tax reforms, corporate investement incentives, Trade deals, deregulation and a reversal of Obama era policies. Finally, you didn't answer my question: Do you support free healthcare for ALL illegals (including convicted criminals currently enjoying the protection of sanctuary laws)?

It appears you were unaware of these facts prior to our chat. Bottom line, we disagree on most points. I don't support free healthcare for illegals. Such a policy will not only kill our economy and add tens of $Trillions to our debt, it will put out an even bigger welcome mat at our border. Bernie's unicorn promises are an insult to our intelligence. He's an angry man who has somehow managed to convince people with his lies and mind-numbing demagoguery. To be honest, I find it perplexing he has any support. And spoiler alert...he has no chance at winning the nomination. I also encourage you to accept the fact the Trump economy is real and historic. Particularly for the middle class, small businesses, and lower income people. It's achieved historic levels in all key metrics. And please remember that a healthy stock market means more money for IRAs, union pension plans and other investments. More reasons Trump's rallies have thousands of people. Hint, they have nothing to do with the Obama era. Read what I said. Secondly, the “straight line” argument that everything just continued from Obama has been debunked. You appear to understand how google works, so search away. Thirdly, I didn’t reply to your ridiculous 50 Trillion argument because it’s specious. The discussion is about what government is paying into healthcare programs (only about a $trillion per year), not the total that everyone pays. Bernie and Warren’s unicorn math is laughable. And you’ll note that their support is dropping. Rationale people will never support free healthcare for illegals. They overreached and are handing the nomination to quid pro Joe. Lastly, you appear to have great difficulty admitting when you’re wrong. Just give up on the debt discussion. I educated you that Obama doubled our debt by adding about 10 $trillion. I agree Trump needs to rein in the deficit.
