Two hands working do more than a billion clasped in prayer.

Was it "climate change" when wildfires occurred 5 years ago? How about 50 years ago? Or 500, 5,000, and 5 Million years ago? The answer is no. Wildfires have been occurring for billions of years. And before you say "but they're getting worse"...do some research on how long we've been tracking wildfires.

Yes. Summer wildfires, what a story. But crazy "sky is falling" AOC, global elites, the $billion dollar climate change business, and the angry brainwashed Swedish girl will use this natural disaster to push their agendas in 3, 2, 1...

There's been wildfires for billions of years. Some years are worse than others. A bad year is often followed by decades of good years as the ecology of the area recovers (and often thrives). People really need to realize that 24/7 news coverage of every global natural disaster leads to the mental illness known as 'eco anxiety'. Be wary of catching it.

Wildfires have been occurring for millions of years. They're part of the natural ecology. Don't get afflicted with the mental illness known as "eco anxiety". You'll become just like the angry brainwashed Swedish girl.

@bigdraco2994 ..Your complete lack of insights or opinions on the topic means you either agree with all my points, or are incapable of adult discussion. Either way, you have my sympathies.

@bigdraco2994 ..Thanks for proving my point.

@bigdraco2994 ..And I said thanks for proving my point. If you want to further admit you're incapable of adult discussion and/or want to confirm you agree with my original comment on wildfires, ecology and eco-anxiety, just reply again with "ok boomer" or some other misplaced ad hominem.

@myroom1913 ..I agree the wildfires are tragic, just like all natural disasters. My sympathies to all those affected. The point of my comment is to remind people that wildfires are natural occurrences. Those blaming them on "climate change" are either uninformed or brainwashed. Moreover, I'll bet many of the fires were human caused or arson? Which makes blaming them on climate change even more illogical. There's a good recent example of the hysteria and misinformation on wildfires: it's estimated that over 80% of the Amazon fires last year were deliberately set. Yet the media and climate change businesses/cults blamed it all on climate change! It's mind boggling ignorance. And I guarantee you there's STILL people who don't understand the facts on the Amazon fires. Bottom line, I encourage you and anyone else blaming a natural disaster on climate change to look at the big picture. Our 4.5 billion year old earth has been through FAR worse.

Two hands working does more than a million clasped in prayer. God is a superstition.

Cheryl ...There’s nothing “hateful and evil” in stating facts. Look up the definition of ‘superstition’. Believing in a God (pick any of the hundreds humanity has worshipped) is an irrational belief in the supernatural. It’s exactly like believing in the Tooth Fairy. And prayer is completely useless for anyone other than those praying. Please don’t take these facts personally. I have great sympathy for those afflicted with the God superstition.

Eco anxiety is an epidemic. Crazy AOC and the brainwashed Swedish girl aren't helping. There's been wildfires for billions of years. Some years are worse than others. A bad year is often followed by decades of good years as the ecology of the area recovers (and often thrives). People really need to realize that 24/7 news coverage of every global natural disaster leads to eco anxiety.

Trailobyte...It’s great you realize we only have records for wildfires going back less than 150 years for many parts of the world. However, this makes your first sentence incorrect. Australia has existed as a continent for hundreds of millions of years. To say it has “never” had as bad a wildfire season is illogical. As I said...wildfires are natural. And are actually an important part of the ecology of many regions. I’ll also bet many of the fires were started by humans. This was the case with the Amazon fires, with the vast majority deliberately set. This little fact was ignored by many media and the climate alarmist businesses. And speaking of “recorded history”, media loved to say the Amazon fires were a “record”, but rarely if ever mentioned that we only have accurate records for that part of the world for less than 20 years. Bottom line, the Aussie fires are tragic. But there’s no need for people to think the sky is falling. All the areas that burned will come back stronger than ever. As they always do.

@TheTrailburner ..My 'rhetoric' is dangerous? Nope. I simply take a logical, educated, big-picture view of the facts and form a rational opinion. You said there's "never" been wildfires like this in Australia. I simply pointed out such a comment is incorrect. I'll add that it's the kind of alarmist lie-by-omission that media and the climate change businesses/cults love to use. The good news is you appear to understand the history of record keeping for climate and weather. This puts you ahead of many of the brainwashed and uninformed who think the sky is falling. I encourage you to use your knowledge to understand that "records" are based on an incredibly tiny bit of of earth's 4.5 billion year history. And it's great you understand the issue of arson as it relates to the wildfires. Again, this puts you ahead of many on the intelligence scale. Which is why I referred to the Amazon wildfire example. I guarantee you there's STILL brainwashed people who think all the fires were due to climate change. Bottom line...Don't become a victim of the mental illness known as 'eco-anxiety'. Use your intelligence to look at the big picture.
