@Aeromiler ...The cop should never be allowed to have a gun again. Desk duty only. But the guy is 100% to blame for his own death.

@KimXMochi ..The cop made an idiotic and fatal mistake...which would never had happened if the guy didn't first make an idiotic and fatal mistake. He caused his own death. This fact is irrefutable.

@Aeromiler ..Fair points. But as you mentioned, he was driving a car without legal tags and had an outstanding warrant. Those were his first mistakes. Then he tried to flee. EVERYTHING that happened after that point is on him.

@thelastmessiah2765 ..While I like the use of analogies to make a point, you're missing the logic behind my opinion. I like to evaluate issues using 'root cause analysis'. Let me simplify how this approach works for this cop shooting: 1. The guy would be alive today if he wasn't driving a car with no tags. 2. The guy would be alive today if he didn't have a warrant. 3. The guy would be alive today if he would have fully cooperated and complied with the police. Again, these facts are irrefutable. The idiotic (and possibly criminal) actions of the cop who responded to the guys idiotic (and criminal) decisions are a separate discussion.
