  1.  Jeremy Backup  Yes, Hillary won by about 3 million. BUT...that was due to 2 States, CA and NY, where she beat Trump by about 5 million votes. Figured it out yet? That means Trump won the rest of the country, quite handily. We can't have CA and NY choose the President, nor can we have the Popular Vote alone determine the President. Hence, the Electoral College.
