Here's all the reasons Trump's meaningless partisan impeachment is unlike Clinton's: 1. Thirty one (31) Democrats voted for Clinton's Impeachment Inquiry. Meanwhile, no Republicans voted for Trump's inquiry (and there was even 2 Democrats who voted against). 2. Clinton was impeached on 3 actual felonies/crimes: perjury, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice. Meanwhile, Trump's impeachment isn't based on a single crime. 3. Five Democrats voted to impeach Clinton, making it a bi partisan impeachment. Meanwhile, there were zero Republicans who voted to impeach Trump...and 3 Democrats against it. 4. The Articles of Impeachment for Trump not only don't include a crime, but they're charges with zero chance of conviction in the Senate. Bottom line, it's illogical to try to compare Clinton's bi-partisan impeachment, which was based on actual crimes, to Trump's. History will view this as the Democrats abusing Congressional powers and spitting on the Constitution to conduct a 100% partisan impeachment in a lame attempt to influence an election. Nothing more.

There's two reasons you won't get an answer to your question: 1. This is a CNN comment section, so the vast majority are uninformed and/or brainwashed with lies and propaganda. For example, I guarantee there's a bunch of people here who think Trump committed "bribery, extortion and treason!" (the Dem's focus-group words), and; 2. There is no crime. You're right. This is the first impeachment in history that doesn't involve a crime. The Democrats abused Congressional power and spat on the Constitution to conduct a 100% partisan impeachment in a lame attempt to influence an election. THAT's how history will look back on this circus.

Marla Hill..”Obstruction of Congress” isn’t a crime. Look it up. Neither is “Abuse of Power”. You really need to do some research on Constitutional Separation of Power. Trump was completely within his powers to defy Congressional subpoenas. Just like past Democrat Presidents have. The Democrats would’ve needed the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) to rule on the obstruction charge for it to have any meaning. But since they’re rushing to try to influence the election (and are utterly incompetent) they didn’t. You’ll also want to research past impeachments. In every case the SCOTUS was involved. Go and listen to McConnell’s speech yesterday. He gave all the reasons the Democrats have failed. Bottom line, Trump’s impeachment is meaningless. It’ll go down in history as the Democrats abusing Congressional powers and spitting on the Constitution to try to influence an election. And they’ll fail. Facts are important. Don’t fall for the Democrat’s lies and CNN’s propaganda.

Trumps not only doesn’t have any crimes, it’s 100% partisan. And worse for the Democrats, there were 3 of their own party who voted against. Trump’s legacy is solid. The impeachment is meaningless.

Marla Hill ..And sorry, one more fact for you. Trump hasn’t been “found guilty” of anything. The Articles of Impeachment are only charges. The Senate has a trial to determine if he’s guilty. But remember, since there’s no crime no one ( including the clueless Democrats) are really sure what, if anything, he can be found guilty of!

By now it should’ve sunk in for everyone. It’s a meaningless partisan impeachment and Trump’s legacy is solid. Conversely, the Democrats will go down in history as the party that abused Congressional powers and spat on the Constitution to try to influence an election.

The Dems impeached based on no crime, unlike ALL past impeachments. And aside from the aforementioned abuse of Congressional power, they conducted the first impeachment in history with NO involvement of the 3rd Branch of Government, the SCOTUS (which is why the "Obstruction of Congress charge is ludicrous) This all adds up to a completely meaningless impeachment that is dead on arrival to the Senate. It's best you start accepting the fact the Dems will lose, and Trump will win, ...again. And by the way, I saw your ludicrous comment that Trump "received more votes for impeachment" than any other President. It's delusional and a lie-by-omission. Only in a CNN section would anyone agree with such an obtuse comment.
