Comments by "Hugh Jorgan" (@HughJorgan1) on "US sets single day record for hurricane-force wind gusts reported" video.
Do you realize the “record” wind gusts are only based on data since 2004? Not at all unprecedented in the big picture.

The “record” they’re talking about is based on wind gust data since 2004….on a 4.5 billion year old planet. It’s called lying by omission, something CNN is an expert at. They’ve got to push the Democrat’s ‘sky is falling’ narrative for climate.

@counselthyself…Here’s a friendly tip: Never ask someone for a source without first taking 30 seconds to search the topic. Had you done that, I might respect your opinions. But you clearly aren’t able to put aside your bias and immediately assume people who don’t follow the same narrative as you must be making up data. There’s multiple sources for the fact I mentioned, including NPR. But don’t feel bad, you’re not alone in your ignorance. In this comment section alone there’s hundreds of people who think the sky is falling just because of a little bad weather on a 4.5 billion year old planet. And there’s hundreds who see media put the words “record” or “historic” in a headline and are either too dumb or too brainwashed to question the scope of the record in terms of hard data. Bottom line, a “record” day of wind gusts based on 17 years of data is nothing to be concerned about. Look it up.

@counselthyself ..Lol, thanks for proving my point about the ignorance and brainwashing of people who’ve fallen for the media and leftist “sky is falling” narrative re climate. And you embarrassed yourself even further by proving you have little to no reading comprehension skills. I gave you a source. Again, thanks for confirming all of my points. If you’d like to further confirm your brainwashing and lack of reading comprehension skills, just reply to this comment with another question about my source for the data or say anything that doesn’t acknowledge that 17 years of data makes a weather record quite meaningless in the big picture.

@violetviolet888 …Do you not know how the search the web? What an idiotic question. The “single day wind gust record” was reported by multiple news sites, including NPR. But unlike lying CNN, they point out the record is only based on data since 2004. CNN needs to keep Democrats brainwashed that the sky is falling due to climate change. But don’t feel bad for falling for the lies….look around the comment section and you’ll see hundreds of other brainwashed Democrats and CNN idiots.

@violetviolet888 …Lol, you took time to write another comment rather than taking 10 seconds and searching “USA sets single day wind gust record”! Which is what you should’ve done before asking someone for a source. Copy paste the search criteria I gave you …and educate yourself. As I mentioned, multiple sites have the 2004 fact, including NPR.

@violetviolet888 …I apologize for being condescending. By the way, here’s a few other common lies you hear from Democrats and their propaganda media regarding weather events: 1. All temperature “records” are based on less than 150 years of good data, less for many countries. 2. We’ve only been accurately tracking storm (tornadoes, hurricanes) strength since the 1970s. Whenever they say “record year”, it’s based on about 50 years of data. 3. Wildfires are the media’s favourite way to spread lies about climate. The vast majority are human caused. For example, I’m sure you remember the hysteria a few years ago when the Amazon had a “record” number of wildfires. What they didn’t tell you is that over 80% of the fires were deliberately set and we only started accurately tracking Amazon fires around 2010. Yep, less than a decade of data was behind all the hysterical headlines like “All Time Record Wildfires in the Amazon!”. I could go on with more facts on floods and droughts that you’ll never hear from Democrats and their propaganda media..but I hope you get the point. I encourage you to always question whenever you hear Democrats and media talk about “records”. They want you to think the sky is falling. It isn’t.

@violetviolet888 ..I agree. We need to be far smarter with regards to pollution. I just wish the Democrats and media would stop lying and pushing their sky-is-falling narrative. The earth has gone through countless climate change cycles and will be fine.

Speaking of data, are you aware the “record” day of wind gusts is only based on data since 2004?

I bet you don’t know that this “record” day of wind gusts is only based on data since 2004. Earth is 4.5 billion years old.
