The Dems were going to vote to impeach regardless of how the inquiry went. AOC and others were dumb enough to admit it. They're the party of ignorance, political games and "guilty until proven innocent". They should just get it over with. They're going to get slaughtered in the Senate and the depth of their lies and treason will be on full display. And Trump will gain even more support (ie. some polls show a major shift in his favor as a direct result of the Democrat's inquiry circus).

Nope. The Constitution's "Separation of Power" and checks and balances are a critical part of our governance. Trump has been smart to leverage the power of the Executive Branch in the face of the Democrat's political games and abuse of Congressional power.

@Norbzz11 ..It's because a person is presumed innocent and doesn't have to prove otherwise. If the Democrats think they have someone on a crime they could take it to the SCOTUS. But they won't because they know they'd lose. They've been playing political games and abusing the power of Congress since the 2018 midterms. As well, they know their base likes to see grandstanding and anything anti-Trump. So Trump has been very smart to leverage the power of the Executive Branch. Just like past Democrat Presidents.

@petrihaikio7002 ..If expecting a country to do a "favor" for foreign aid is determined to be against the Constitution or a "crime", every past President would be guilty. Which is why it'll never happen. As Mulvaney correctly stated, it happens...get over it. Secondly, the Democrat's lame attempt to call it "bribery or extortion" is laughable. By that definition, Biden's actions with the Ukraine are the same. Lastly, asking a country to investigate corruption (regardless if it's Biden, Hillary, or the 2016 election) is neither a crime nor for "political gain" (another lame Democrat talking point.

I truly think they're dumb enough to vote for impeachment.

Good point. Clinton's impeachment was bi-partisan in Congress. And he still wasn't removed from office by the Senate, despite committing one of the worst crimes possible for a President (perjury).

@jwd0808 ..Please cite the poll where "60% of Americans" want Trump impeached? While you pull that up and provide the link, take a look at another poll that shows support for Trump (and against impeachment) increasing significantly: http://emersonpolling.com/2019/11/21/november-national-poll-support-for-impeachment-declines-biden-and-sanders-lead-democratic-primary/
