  1. The fact Iran still has a religious leader (The "Ayatollah") who has major influence over the country's policies and actions is a key reason Iran is a dangerous country. Religion and the delusional belief in a "God" should have ZERO influence on the foreign policies of a country.

  2. @Linear Complexity ..99% of politicians in our country claim they believe in a "God". Unfortunately, it's critical for votes. To my knowledge, there's only been one or two openly-Atheist politicians elected to the past couple decades...House or Senate. Since about a quarter of our population is now atheist or agnostic (and rising), I think many politicians are just playing the game. For example, I firmly believe Obama is a closet-Atheist. And Bernie has come close to admitting he doesn't really believe the ludicrous Jewish/Christian/Muslim God story. But we don't have an "Ayatollah" who's dictating foreign policy. For that, we should be thankful.
