I agree with the charges. But I also think it's important to put this tragedy in perspective.
The following statistics all just a simple google search away:
1. There's about 700,000 cops in America. Of those, about 1,200 are charged each year with crimes, including excessive force, racism, murder, fraud, etc.
That means 99.9% of cops can be deemed good cops rather than bad cops.
2. Each year there's about 10 million arrest-related activities by cops (such as George Floyd's arrest). Using the aforementioned stat, 99.999% happen without charges to officers.
Bottom line, the Minnesota cops actions were criminal...and I hope he serves time.
But it's ludicrous to hate all police or think there's rampant racism or brutality based on .1% of cops and .0001% of arrests.
C'mon people, we're smarter than this.

Some are saying there's a "systemic problem" of police brutality and racism.
The data says otherwise.
Here's some facts to ponder:
1. There's about 700,000 cops in America. Of those, about 1,200 are charged each year with crimes, including excessive force, racism, murder, fraud, etc. That means 99.9% of cops can be deemed good cops.
2. Each year there's about 10 million arrest-related activities by cops (such as George Floyd's arrest). Using the aforementioned stat, 99.999% happen without charges to officers.
Bottom line, I think the Minnesota cop's actions were criminal...and I hope he serves time.
But it's ludicrous to hate all police or think there's rampant racism or brutality based on .1% of cops and .0001% of arrests.
C'mon people, we're smarter than this.

@jonesfactor9 ..I remind you of Separation of Power, which is a critical part of our Constitution.
Congress isn't all-powerful. If they wanted to try to force the White House to abide by subpoenas, they could've taken it to the SCOTUS.
SInce they know they'd have likely lost and were rushing the impeachment circus based on the 2020 election, they didn't.
This is the fundamental flaw in the "obstruction of congress" charge, and why it's a joke.
The other charge is already a non-starter.
And I'm always perplexed when Democrat supporters say "if he's innocent, why not cooperate?".
Such a view is nonsensical. People are innocent until proven guilty. Why on earth would they cooperate.
I'll use a basic example of the concept: Let's say I accuse you of having an illegal gun in your home. I then demand to search your home to find it.
What's your defense?
Do you let me search your home, knowing you don't have an illegal gun, or do you say fu-k off, I don't have to show you sh-t?!
I hope you agree the latter approach is the smart one.
The Democrats have been on a witch hunt since 2016. Trump has been very smart to leverage Separation of Power. If the Democrat's want to bring the issue to the SCOTUS, they can.
By the way, past Democrat Presidents and administrations have also ignored Congressional subpeonas.
For the Dems to use it as a basis for impeachment is idiotic. Even more idiotic than the abuse of power charge.
Trump wins...and the Dems lose, once again.

Linda Faraday...so you watched the full speech? That puts you in the minority of this comment section. I'm curious what you thought of the following Trump comments:
1. "The United States will honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return."
2. "With support from many countries here today, we have engaged with North Korea to replace the specter of conflict with a bold and new push for peace."
3. "The sanctions against North Korea will stay in place until denuclearization occurs.
4. "A special thanks to President Moon of South Korea, Prime Minister Abe of Japan, and President Xi of China."
5. "Following my trip to Saudi Arabia last year, the Gulf countries opened a new center to target terrorist financing. They are enforcing new sanctions, working with us to identify and track terrorist networks, and taking more responsibility for fighting terrorism and extremism in their own region."
6. "Thanks to the United States military and our partnership with many of your nations, I am pleased to report that the bloodthirsty killers known as ISIS have been driven out from the territory they once held in Iraq and Syria."
7. "As we see in Jordan, the most compassionate policy is to place refugees as close to their homes as possible to ease their eventual return to be part of the rebuilding process."
8. "We cannot allow the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism (Iran) to possess the planet’s most dangerous weapons. We cannot allow a regime that chants “Death to America,” and that threatens Israel with annihilation, to possess the means to deliver a nuclear warhead to any city on Earth. Just can't do it."
9. "The United States lost over 3 million manufacturing jobs, nearly a quarter of all steel jobs, and 60,000 factories after China joined the WTO. And we have racked up $13 trillion in trade deficits over the last two decades. But those days are over. We will no longer tolerate such abuse."
10 "Canada sucks"...
(# 10 is a just kidding, are you still reading). 1 thru 9 are legitimate quotes. Do you still want to criticise the speech?

Dan Mat..please read the following quotes from Trump's UN speech and let me know your thoughts. This is the news CNN won't report:

Destined Queen...I sometimes ask myself the same question! But I think it's very important for rational people like us to educate the religious..., and people who believe in the supernatural as if its real (like Scientologists).
As you know, many European countries are already majority non-believer. Religions/cults of any kind aren't accepted. And they're certainly not allowed to operate their scams tax-free, like they can in the US and Canada.
And non-believers in a 'god' is a fast growing segment of most other advanced countries, including the US. Famous atheists and anti-theists (I'm in the latter category) like Bill Maher, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins have helped tremendously.
I truly empathize with the religious. Most were brainwashed as children. Some are adults who've succumbed to the delusional teachings of their local mosque, church, temple.. or have been victimized by the billion-dollar 'televangelist' scams. Some are just weak minded and will seek any crazy shit for 'meaning' to life. (this loops back to my original comment).
I also debate because religion continues to commit massive crimes-against-humanity. And threaten world peace. And all crimes and war are based on non-existent gods/deities. The Christian crusades killed millions and committed mass genocides in the name of the Christian god. Islam is trying to do the same thing. That little factual tidbit is quite powerful when debating members of the Christian cult.
If you'd like an entertaining read...and an example of one of my debates, just search "Sylvester Stallone talks about Jesus". Click on the vid from "Jesus Daily" ...and scroll to the primary comment from an EnSabbahnur1. (it has 91 comments). In those comments, you will see me debating for weeks with two devout Christians/Mormons. We cover it all, including the jesus story and evolution. It's quite entertaining!
You'll note in the debate that I'm constantly attacked and insulted..although I never do the same. And you'll note dozens of times these religious people mention death.
Did I convert them to rational thought and ensure they leave their cult? Likely no. But I guarantee they were educated on facts and logic!

Destined Queen...Great points, ...and we agree on all important principles. I agree that all cults aren't religions...But I still think all religions are cults. Semantics..we can leave this topic...:)
Scientology's version of a 'god' is Xenu, Dictator of the Galaxies. They also worship L. Ron Hubbard as a deity-like person. They celebrate him in similar ways that Christians celebrate Jesus.
In this respect, Christianity is worse than Scientology! At least L.Ron Hubbard was real. The virgin-birth isn't only ludicrous, but copied from numerous previous stories of gods and prophets born to virgins on Dec. 25 (or the winter solstice). In some cases centuries prior.
It's mind-boggling that Christians and other Jesus cults haven't yet grasped the character isn't only non-existent, but was plagiarized. Some pre-Jesus stories even had magic stars and wise men. Again, mind boggling.
I agree with your list of cults. I'd add Hutterites. Like the Amish, they kind of fly under the radar. But they brutally subjugate women and abuse children (particularly girls). In this sense, they're very much like Islam, and early Christianity.
Again, great points.

Destined Queen...thank you for your passionate opinion. Firstly, it's fascinating how you mentioned "die" two times. As I said in my previous comment, that's a sure sign of a religious person....;)
I urge you to realize there's no such thing as "heaven" or "hell". These places are about as real as "Oz", the "Deathstar", or "Middle-Earth". I'm not sure of your age, so I listed 3 appropriate comparisons covering many decades.
Also, speaking of death (you brought it up!)....it's important to realize that when we die, we first become food for the over 80% of cells in our bodies that are non-human bacteria and parasites. On that note...why would a 'god' create humans with only 20% human cells..:/
Right about now...you're irritated. You don't want to hear more facts and logic. You're wondering why I'm still talking. Why am I still educating you.
Destined Queen...it's because if you're truly religious, I sympathize with you. And religion poisons everything. Rational people can't just sit by and allow it to continue unabated. The more people that speak up... the better it is for children and society....now, and into the future. Every discussion is a chance to educate.
I'm sure there are many societal "causes" you're passionate about. You're clearly a smart person. Therefore, you should understand exactly where I'm coming from. People can't just "live our lives" and ignore issues that are damaging to humanity.
That list of cults you mentioned earlier, and other comments, show you disagree with individuals or groups forcing ideologies onto others. Keep up that way of thinking! But educating people on facts isn't "pressuring" them. By that logic, we would stop sending children to school.
So you have belief in a 'higher power'? You have faith? You hope there's something out there? You might even believe words from one of the many religious books are real (I'm guessing the bible?). You're among billions, sadly.
Faith and hope aren't based in reality or proof. For example, there's been literally thousands of different gods worshiped by our species... over thousands of years. Actually, since our species branched off from our chimp/ape cousins a few hundred thousand years ago. NONE has ever been proven to be real.
Right about now...you're maybe saying: "But you can't prove my God isn't real!!"
You're right. I also can't prove Oz, the Deathstar and Middle-Earth aren't real. Or that Unicorns and Mermaids aren't real.
But anything claimed without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. The burden of proof for a god, or other deity, is on the group making the claim. Scientologists have to prove Xenu is real.. and Christians have to prove their God is real. Non-believers don't have to prove something doesn't exist.
As I always say at this point...I truly wish you all the very best. Please don't take facts and logic personally.

Enoch Root...It appears you didn't watch the full speech and may be getting your "news" from CNN. Please read the following SMALL sample of other Trump quotes from the speech and let me know your thoughts:

@lynnwalters1213 That's a lot of hyperbole. Let's summarize: "vile, sick, demented, demon, evil, possessed, liars, cheats".
I respect all opinions and your right to vent. That said, I prefer effective discussions on the issues.
In that spirit, what do you think is the best approach to increasing border security? Personally, I think we need a permanent barrier along with enhanced technology. Such an approach would satisfy both the Dems and GOP supporters. But what do you think?

While that's true, the differences between the two situations are massive:
1. Clinton's impeachment inquiry was bi partisan, with 31 Democrats voting along with the GOP. Conversely, Trumps was 100% partisan, and even had 2 Democrats vote against.
2. Clinton's impeachment hearings involved the third branch of government, the judiciary, as the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) contributed to House evidence. Conversely, there was NO involvement of the SCOTUS in Trump's process. (the biggest mistake the Dems made)
3. Clinton's eventual impeachment was bi partisan, with 5 Democrats voting to impeach their own President. Meanwhile, there were NO Republicans who voted to impeach Trump (and also two Democrats against).
4. Clinton's impeachment involved actual, proven felony crimes (perjury, witness tampering and obstruction of justice). Meanwhile, Trump's doesn't involve a federal crime.
Long story short, Clinton was convicted of perjury and obstruction but 100% of Democrat Senators voted he remain in office.
And yet there's still brainwashed, uninformed Democrat supporters who think Trump will be removed.
One can only shake their head.

Patti Cakes...incorrect. Trump's speech was very well received. I'm curious if you're aware of it's full content? The "rest of the world" responded very well to the entire speech and the following Trump quotes:
1. "The United States will honor the right of every nation in this room to pursue its own customs, beliefs, and traditions. The United States will not tell you how to live or work or worship. We only ask that you honor our sovereignty in return."

For months, domestic terrorist groups like BLM and Antifa rioted, murdered, burned businesses, terrorized neighborhoods, looted and occupied public buildings.
Yet most of the media (and almost all Democrat leaders) just blamed Trump.
Now that the frustration has boiled over and Trump supporters and rioters did the same crap, most of the media (and almost all Democrat leaders) just blame Trump...again.
There's a bigger picture here.
The "orange man bad" crap is deflection from 4 years of the Democrat's lies, hate, identity politics, inciting violence and taking craps on the Constitution.
And for 4 years, 90% of our media has lied and propagandized everything Trump.
The riot should never have happened but I understand where the frustration is coming from.

Here's a few Covid facts you'll never hear from fear mongering media (source below):
- As of early July, the overall cumulative COVID-19 associated hospitalization rate is 102.5 per 100,000 people (1%), with the highest rates in people 65 years of age and older (306.7 per 100,000) followed by people 50-64 years (155.0 per 100,000).
- Based on death certificate data, the percentage of deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza or COVID-19 (PIC) decreased from 9.0% during week 25 to 5.9% during week 26 (June), representing the tenth consecutive week during which a declining percentage of deaths.
- Among 8,672 hospitalized adults with information on underlying medical conditions, 91% had at least one reported underlying medical condition. The most commonly reported were hypertension, obesity, chronic metabolic disease, and cardiovascular disease.
- Over 96% of people who've caught Covid have recovered fully.
- About 99% of people under age 55 without underlying health conditions have recovered fully.

I find it mind boggling there's still people repeating the "hoax" lie.
Trump never called the virus a hoax. The context of the word was the Democrats attacking him and the administration..just like the impeachment hoax.
Read what he really said...and learn:
"Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. You know that, right? Coronavirus. They’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs. You say, ‘How’s President Trump doing?’ They go, ‘Oh, not good, not good.’ They have no clue. They don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa, they can’t even count. No they can’t. They can’t count their votes.
One of my people came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over, they’ve been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning, they lost, it’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax. But you know, we did something that’s been pretty amazing. We’re 15 people [cases of coronavirus infection] in this massive country. And because of the fact that we went early, we went early, we could have had a lot more than that.

Here's all the reasons Trump's meaningless partisan impeachment is unlike Clinton's:
1. Thirty one (31) Democrats voted for Clinton's Impeachment Inquiry. Meanwhile, no Republicans voted for Trump's inquiry (and there was even 2 Democrats who voted against).
2. Clinton was impeached on 3 actual felonies/crimes: perjury, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice. Meanwhile, Trump's impeachment isn't based on a single crime.
3. Five Democrats voted to impeach Clinton, making it a bi partisan impeachment. Meanwhile, there were zero Republicans who voted to impeach Trump...and 3 Democrats against it.
4. The Articles of Impeachment for Trump not only don't include a crime, but they're charges with zero chance of conviction in the Senate.
Bottom line, it's illogical to try to compare Clinton's bi-partisan impeachment, which was based on actual crimes, to Trump's.
History will view this as the Democrats abusing Congressional powers and spitting on the Constitution to conduct a 100% partisan impeachment in a lame attempt to influence an election.
Nothing more.

The Memo ..Wow. I remain perplexed there’s still Democrat voters unaware of critical facts such as those I mentioned.
Particularly since liberal-biased sources like Washington Post and CNN had stories on Hillary’s “stolen” and “illegitimate President” comments.
You really need to reflect on where you’re getting your facts. And Google is your friend.
Regarding the debunked “Russia collusion” claim, I’ll ask you one simple question: Did Russian interference change a single vote?
That’s rhetorical…because it didn’t.
And while there definitely were a few wrongdoings found during the Muleller investigation: Trump was exonerated.
Moreover, we now know the level of Democrat and FBI corruption behind the Steele Dossier. I look forward to the GOP taking the House this fall and launching a Congressional investigation into the dossier, including subpoenas for Obama, Hillary, Pelosi, Schiff, and Biden.
Lastly, and back to Jan 6, you clearly didn’t watch the Senate hearings for Trump’s impeachment. Many examples of Democrat leaders using the exact same type of rhetoric on 2016 were provided, thus destroying the claim of “incitement”.

Indonesia...since you didn't answer, please note a few other quotes from Trump's speech and let me know what you laughed at:

As painful as it was, I actually watched the full vid of Lemon putting on his act.
Let's summarize why his ratings are so brutal compared to similar programs, and why CNN remains the definition of propaganda news (also known as fake news)
1. Lemon starts with typical CNN fear mongering and lies-by-omission regarding the Covid death totals (please go to the CDC website to get facts and perspective. For example, note there's also been 64,000 deaths from another contagious viral infection, pneumonia, in the past few months.
2. Then he cherry-picks a series of short Trump quotes to try to push a narrative, while offering zero context (this is called lying by omission).
3. Next, he bemoans the success of Trump's rallies, knowing full well he gets thousands more than ANY Democrat.
4. He then concludes, without a shred of evidence, that Trump's claim on Obama isn't true.
5. Lemon then made me laugh out loud with his dramatic "Look into the mirror Mr. President..it's you". (Nope, it's CNN and and their propaganda news that's the problem)
6. Lastly, and it was so predictable, Lemon does what he does best...show his victim mentality and complete lack of professionalism. He even brings up Trump's wife.
7. And most predictable of all...Lemon plays the race card COMPLETELY out of context.
Again, it was painful to watch Lemon's act for a full episode.
He really needs to look in the mirror.

On the topic of tracking time...I propose we pick a year to change the global calendar to correct humanity's egregious error aligning with the fictional birth of a fictional character. We should stop enabling the Jesus delusion and the Christian cult by recognizing their unoriginal God-story.
While it's great we now use the correct term "Before Common Era-- BCE" instead of the ridiculous 'BC', we need to do more. I propose we develop a new calendar based on science. Archaeology proves our species was tracking time over 10,000 years ago. Using that knowledge, we could argue this is approximately the year 10,019.
Of course, if we wanted to be even more big-picture in our thinking, we could base a new calendar on the first evidence of life (about 3.5 billion years ago) or the earth itself (about 4.5 billion years). But that's a lot of zeros for a calendar. So I propose the 10,000 solution.
Yes, it's a bit radical. And yes, we'd have to give about a decade's warning for all the updates to computers, etc. And yes, we'd want to be as accurate as possible determining whether this is the year 10,019... or 10,029. But whatever we do will be FAR more accurate than basing a calendar on a fictional story. We've made radical changes such as this in our past. Time for another.

@KingOfMooreLab ...I agree there's an entire network of companies and individuals using legal loopholes to import fentanyl and other dangerous drugs from China. Which are then sold illegally to drug cartels and traffickers. That's a separate issue.
The topic I raised is that it's estimated China is the source for 90% of the ILLEGAL shipments/trafficking of opioids and other chemicals/drugs used to manufacture pills, etc. Drug cartels in Mexico, America, Eastern Europe and other areas appear to have trafficking networks based in China.
It all makes one wonder just how much China knows and whether they're deliberately allowing the networks to operate. Hence my question about "zero tolerance".
In October 2017, US authorities announced the first ever indictments against two Chinese individuals for conspiracy "to distribute large quantities" of fentanyl as well as other opioids.
For those trying to defend China, or suggesting there isn't an issue, I just shake my head. They need to ask themselves why China has acknowledged the problem and have taken some action if there's no problem?!
For example, China recently restricted more than 150 chemicals that can be used to create synthetic drugs and have introduced many other controls at the urging of other countries.
Innocent countries don't take actions such as these. China knows they've got a huge problem.
Finally, I agree with those in this section who've pointed out the past British atrocities on China. But that's a completely separate discussion. It's highly illogical for people to suggest it's Ok for China to be complicit in the deaths of thousands with their illegal supply and trafficking of drugs. Two wrongs don't make a right.
And to very clear, I'm not defending the loser caught trafficking meth. If he's indeed guilty (remember, this is China's justice system we're talking about), he deserves harsh punishment.

moses knows....It appears you didn't bother to watch the full speech. Trump did an excellent job conveying US concerns and provided great leadership on a global scale. Disagree? Please read the following small sample of his speech and let me know your thoughts:

@9000ck ..Just curious, do you blame Governor Cuomo and de Blasio for New York State's 33,000 deaths?
Before answering, let me remind you of some of their, and other Dem leader's, words and actions:
1. Cuomo said on March 2 the State was "Fully prepared and ready" to deal with the pandemic.
2. De Blasio told everyone to stay positive, "act normal" and ride the subways, go to school, etc...the first week of March.
3. Cuomo ordered Covid-positive seniors into nursing homes, killing hundreds if not thousands.
4. Biden called Trump's China travel ban "xenophobic and hysterical".
5. Pelosi and AOC polticized the ban by visiting China towns and telling everyone to visit.
So...do you blame them for the deaths?
If no, why not

@tnbrfller That’s what the electoral college accomplishes. Every vote matters. As I said, without it you take away the voice and the votes of people in smaller states. For example, people in say, Alaska, wouldn’t even bother to vote because it wouldn’t change anything in the big picture. The 25 least populous states, like Alaska, have only ONE SIXTH of our population. Meanwhile our 10 most populated states have over HALF the total population! California, Florida, New York, Texas, PA, Illinois and a few other states would decide every election if we had strictly a popular-vote system.

Since Youtube disabled the thumbs down icon for comments years ago....Let's review what constitutes a "Top" comment for this vid. And please allow me to explain why I wish I could give each of these comments a THUMBS DOWN!!! .....
1." If I were him, I would shut up. The more he talks the deeper he's digging his hole. This guy is unstable in all his ways. # Russia & North Korea our most immediate threats."
- THUMBS DOWN for poor grammar, illogical analogy, ad-hominem attack on the President, and especially the use of 'hashtag' on Youtube. oh, and no sense of humor.
2. " Melania has a Hardened Face. She seems to be unhappy, and just going along with program. # Mueller Time like a mofo.
Trump is the ONLY JOKE"
- THUMBS DOWN for sexism, ad hominem, illogical references, slang. And again, no sense of humor.
3. "We can't take another year of degenerate actions by the GOP.....the right will try to weaken us...they will depress voters with their alt right & Russian trolls"
- THUMBS DOWN for massive paranoia, lack of facts, and massive paranoia (worth mentioning twice)
4. "Mango Mussolini, wants to be a DICTATOR."
- THUMBS DOWN...for use of Caps, illogical paranoia/reference.
Bottom line....don't you also wish you could thumbs-down these comments?! If so, don't you agree that Youtube's scam of letting comments such as these become 'Top' is everything wrong with social media? And don't you wish your thumbs down on this comment actually registered?

Concepts in this vid remind me of one of the best courses I've ever took: Change Management. Its principles can apply to anything. Work, relationships, family, community, societal issues, global issues, etc etc.
Change is constant in life and the world. Implementing, managing and/or adapting to change is quite simple... if you think about it as a process:
1. Awareness of the need for change is the first critical step. Educate those affected on WHY it's happening.
2. Desire of those affected by the change to participate is the next critical step. They need to understand WHAT is happening. (This step can go hand in hand with the WHY in #1)
3. Knowledge of those impacting the change on HOW to accomplish it. This is training, education, mentorship, coaching, etc.
4. Ability to implement the change. Similar to #3, it's critical those affected by the change have the ability to make it happen. And deal with outcomes, prepare for contingencies, etc.
5. Reinforcement of the change after its happened. Reminding those involved why it needed to occur. And tying the (hopefully successful) outcomes to the entire process!
Change didn't work? Go back to step 1, or pick up somewhere along the way. #3 is usually where things fall apart.
And a good way to remember these principles is the acronym ADKAR. (first word of each step).

dn va, ...what Meyers and Colbert are doing stopped being jokes or satire over a year ago. Have you ever heard them "joke" about the Democrats, Obama, or Hillary?
Have you ever heard them reference Bill Clinton's impeachment for lying to a grand jury? Or how about Hillary's "I don't recall" testimony regarding her emails, Bengazi AND Bill's affairs? It would seem to me the jokes would write themselves....
Trump's doing great in all the areas that matter. For example, the economy, job growth, foreign policy, national security, immigration policy, etc.
2
-
dn va, ...We'll need to disagree on a number of issues.
1. The 'thanks to Obama' line regarding the economy is both illogical.... and overused. Trump has managed to maintain momentum since the 2008 recession despite massive challenges with the global economy
2. His tax reforms will go down as a historic point in the US economy and the best legacy from his first term. For example, he made the US globally competitive with the Corporate tax rate. It's already brought thousands of jobs and $Billions in investment back to the US. The reforms were the # 1 reason Apple gave for investing over $400 billion in new US-based spending.
3. Trumps' foreign policies have been excellent thus far. Remember, he's less than 2 years into his first term. Foreign policy takes time.
4. In a short period, he's rebuilt many relationships Obama tarnished. For example, with key allies Israel, China, South Korea, and Japan.
5. It's highly illogical to say Trump's been 'played' by North Korea and Russia. Unless you can offer anything to rationalize/substantiate the statement, you're simply repeating a line from propaganda shows.
6. Obama's Iran deal reduced sanctions on a terrorist regime. It allowed them to get billions in extra cash. And it did little to assure key US allies in Europe and the Middle East. It needs to be reworked. Which is why Trump has massive support from key allies on the decision.
7. MANY Presidents have promised to move the US embassy to Jurusalem. Trump is the only one with the guts to do it.
There are many ongoing issues Trump is still working on. For example, the wall, healthcare, domestic energy programs, immigration policy, etc. But he's working on them. And sorry, but it's illogical to point to gas prices as any indicator of political success.
Be patient. Thanks to Trump things look like they're going to get even better for the US in the future.

Brenda Larrain....It really appears you didn't watch the full speech? I respect your passion for this issues but also think it's important to get full information and context. For example, Trump definitely didn't "alienate" America's allies in the speech. Here's a SMALL sample of his speech that you won't get on CNN:

Hawks Fan...I think its time for you to take a deep breath... and try to relax. You're reacting to comments, opinions and feedback too quickly. You're using misplaced insults and ad hominem on perfect strangers. Which, I remind you, is the bottom 2 levels of the 7 levels of disagreement. In other words, its the worst possible way to try to make a point.
I also suggest you try to think about (and appreciate) opinions that differ from yours. For example, it's illogical to ignore Richard Wright's examples by simply saying you'll care "If they run for President". Don't you think it's important for all politicians to follow the same rules?
Finally, I think it's important to remind you of my first comment in this section. Its primary intention was to point out how Youtube's "top" comment section is a fallacy. The secondary intention was to give your original comment an inefficient (but impersonal) thumbs down.
Youtube's comment section have become a joke. Since there's no thumbs down votes, it becomes totally skewed. I thinks its a serious issue and leads to, well, this discussion.
Bottom line, I respect your opinions. And do you agree that Youtube should re-enable the thumbs down icon for comments?

Yokai...speaking of quotes from Trump's speech. Please read the following and let me know your thoughts:
@user-iz3gv5vo6b ..Congratulations. You can actually have an adult conversation.
I don’t condone what happened Jan 6. It was a bunch of losers and idiots who didn’t understand what Trump meant by “peacefully make your voices heard”. The main offenders, such as “horn-guy” deserve jail time.
But to call it an “insurrection” is a complete insult to intelligence. And the media and Democrats are embarrassing themselves trying to make it much bigger than it was. Again, the BLM and Antifa riots (with billions in damage and many dead) were a FAR bigger attack on democracy and law and order.
Moreover, the Seattle autonomous zone was an ACTUAL insurrection (as I said earlier) and Democrat leaders and Hillary had used the exact same type of rhetoric after 2016.
Bottom line, I think it’s important for Democrats and Trump haters to look at the big picture and not fall for the lies on Jan 6. It’s only a desperate attempt to influence the midterms and 2024.
Regarding the popular vote, you’re right, Biden won by about 7 million.
I wonder if you know the following fun facts on the last 2 elections:
1. The only reason Hillary beat Trump by 3 million in the popular vote is she beat him by 5 million in CA and NY (where they’d vote for a sack of potatoes, as long as it’s blue)
Figured it out yet? Trump beat her by 2 million over the remaining 48 states, which is why he won an Electoral College landslide.
2. The only reason Biden beat Trump by 7 million is he won CA and NY by that same 7 million. He and Trump were basically split down the middle over the other 48 states, with Biden winning the critical swing states. Which is why he won an Electoral College landslide.
I know very few Democrats who know the true background on the voting results, particularly 2016.

@user-iz3gv5vo6b ..Lol, whenever I venture into a CNN comment section it’s not to troll. My goal is to educate brainwashed/uninformed Democrats on facts. And I could spend all day, everyday, doing that.
For example, here’s a few of the most common lies about Trump that are STILL believed by millions:
1. The lie he called white supremacists ‘fine people’. He never did. The context of his ‘fine people on both sides’ comment was a peaceful protest on a statue removal. He repeatedly condemned the white supremacist losers who later killed someone in the riots. Democrats and media have been repeating this lie for years. It’s been thoroughly debunked, even by CNN.
2. The lie Trump called all Mexicans ‘rapists and drug dealers’. The context of his comment was the criminals and gangs crossing our unsecured border. As recently as a few weeks ago I saw MSNBC repeat the lie.
3. The lie Trump banned Muslims. Another that was recently repeated, even in Congress. Trump simply implemented a travel ban on 7 Muslim countries that support terrorism. It comprised 7% of the global Muslim population and, more importantly, was almost the EXACT same ban Obama and dozens of other countries had implemented.
4. The lie Trump called Covid a hoax. Another one that’s been thoroughly debunked but is still believed by millions. The context of his hoax comment was the Democrat’s political attacks on his response to Covid.
5. The lie that Trump told people to inject themselves with bleach. Yep, there are still idiots who believe this. The context of his mention of disinfectant was the brainstorming going on among doctors about possible Covid treatments. He also mentioned UV rays.
6. The lie that Trump lied 20,000 times. The Washington Post’s counter was for “false and misleading statements” and included thousands of examples of hyperbole, exaggeration and Trump simply misspeaking. It also included thousands of examples of such whoppers as “We have the best economy” and “It was a perfect phone call”.
Has Trump lied? Yes. But certainly not 20,000 times, and certainly no more than media and Democrats.
I could go on and on with other lies about Trump. Hopefully you didn’t believe any of them. If so, at least now you know the facts.

Fun Facts...regarding important topics rather than this ludicrous story:
1. Some polls show Biden leading Trump. A reminder to Dems that polls had Hillary beating Trump handily, and she did...in the popular vote.
2. The popular vote is meaningless in the big picture. It's heavily skewed but the most populous States, particularly California and New York.
3. Trump's landslide win was in the electoral college and GOP House and Senate seats.
4. All the signs for Trump's win were in the 2014 midterms. Obama's incompetence led the Democrats to slaughter, included a record NINE new GOP Senate seats.
5. The Democrat's infamous "low information" voter base is massive. They'll vote blue if the candidate is an inanimate carbon rod (old Simpson's reference, look it up if you want a laugh).
6. Therefore, Biden could easily beat Trump in the popular vote. And let's face it, he's not far from being an inanimate carbon rod.
7. But fortunately, our Founding Fathers foresaw this problem, hence the electoral college.
By the way, in case you didn't guess, I'm a Trump supporter. KAG 2020

"Systemic problem"?!
Nope.
Bottom line, the Minnesota cop's actions were criminal...and I hope he serves time.
But it's ludicrous to hate all police or think there's rampant racism or brutality based on .1% of cops and .0001% of arrests.
C'mon people, we're smarter than this.

"The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still purely primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation, no matter how subtle, can change this for me."---Einstein
Very, very well said. As an anti-theist the only word I disagree with is "honorable". The Bible, like all fictional books from religions/cults, is far from being honorable. Its delusional stories include racism, intolerance, mass murder, sexism and other dishonorable themes. But Einstein's use of the words "primitive" and "childish" brought it back to center.

@motm369 ..That's far from evidence. You appear to not understand what facts are. Let me reply one by one:
1. Not an argument. Not even close.
2. Not an argument. Trump's foreign policy successes are many, and he's strengthened our relationship with allies Obama drove away with incompetence (i.e. Japan, South Korea, Israel).
3. Trump's been incredibly hard on Russia. Supporting crippling sanctions for Crimea is just one example. As well, Trump is a "keep your friends close, your enemies closer" kind of leader. It appears you haven't figured this out yet.
4. You mean Syria. And we still have some troops there protecting assets. And remember that Russia and Turkey are also enemies of ISIS, so it's great they're helping out. And I encourage you to do some research on the complex geopolitical issues in the region, including Turkey's long battle with Syria-based Kurdish terrorist groups.
And remember..there's about 20 million Kurds living in Turkey as citizens.
5. Trump has asked multiple countries to investigate corruption and the 2016 election, including China, Ukraine, Russia.
So in summary, you've offered nothing to back up your claim that we're being controlled by Russia. You've only stated supposition, bias and proven you don't have any hard facts.

@holister444 I encourage you to do some research on climate change. There are many factors beyond our control, such as solar radiation, tectonic activity, volcanoes, wind patterns, our solar system's position in our galactic disc, and the natural carbon cycle.
Scientists indeed say it's likely that human activities are affecting climate. I agree 100% with this fact. And I agree we need to be responsible. However, science can't definitively measure the extent of human influence vis a vis the many other major factors.
We could stop all carbon emissions tomorrow and it would have zero effect on natural climate change. And weather events/wildfires/storms will occur regardless of what we do. And remember...we only have accurate weather data for less than 150 years. And have only been accurately measuring storm strength (hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons) for less that 50 years. On a 4.5 billion year old planet. Whenever you hear the words "worse ever" or "record" with respect to storms, take in the context of 50 years of data.
As well, you never hear the climate alarmists mention there's been FAR more carbon in our atmosphere many times in the past, including about a million years ago. This is based on ice-core and geological data.
Bottom line, climate change is occurring. Just like it's been doing for billions of years.

@Borvo1 ..Funny you mention Russian sanctions. Trump stopped Nord Stream 2 and Biden removed the sanctions, which was a massive win for Putin. It was also one of the things that empowered him to invade Ukraine. He knew Biden was weak and had Europe at his mercy with respect to energy.
Trump’s strategy was “keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer”. For example, Obama’s idiotic policy of isolation with North Korea led to a huge threat they’d attack us or Japan and South Korea. Trump engaged with them and still maintained crippling sanctions. Of course, the Democrat’s propaganda media spun it all to mean he was bowing down to them.
Trump compliments Putin occasionally because he truly is a smart guy. A tyrant, but a smart guy. Democrats hate facts like that.
I’ll bet 90% of the people in this CNN comment section don’t know Trump has repeatedly condemned the Crimea invasion and the current invasion. He also sent a subtle warning to Putin to never try this crap if he’s in charge “Or Moscow is in play”.
Lastly, Trump was instrumental in getting many NATO countries to increase their defence spending, which was a major issue for Putin.
Of course, the Democrats and their propaganda media spun it to mean Trump wasn’t being nice to our NATO allies. Who the fuck cares about being nice when countries like Germany, France and Canada are taking advantage of us and STILL aren’t spending 2% of GDP on defence, a goal established in 2015.

Levi Nunya...You make many good points. And I also appreciate effective discussion without insults and ad hominem. It’s very rare to come across a person like you in a CNN comment section. Needless to say, Trump supporters like me are in hostile territory.
Your understanding of Separation of Power puts you ahead of many. I’ve had to educate countless Dems and Trump haters on Executive Privilege and the role of the Judiciary/SCOTUS. An inconvenient truth for Dems is that Trump has used the exact same powers as past Democrat Presidents, especially Obama.
And an even more salient fact is the SCOTUS was involved in ALL past impeachment’s prior to Trump’s. This was the biggest mistake, among many, that the Democrats made in their rushed process.
Your understanding of the importance of looking at the context of quotes also separates you from many Dem supporters and CNN viewers. I find it mind boggling how many are still buying the lies. I guarantee you there are millions of brainwashed Democrats who still think Trump called all Mexicans criminals and white supremacists fine people.
As I said, it certainly doesn’t help that CNN pundits and leaders such as Bernie and Biden regularly repeat these lies.
Of course, I know Trump lies too.
Regarding the “Muslim ban”, I think its better described as a ban on countries that support terrorism. It’s similar to a travel ban that Obama (and many other countries) put on Muslim countries.
As you point out, it has nothing to with race. Trump is keeping the promises to deal with immigration. Quickly on that point, he won a critical case in the SCOTUS the other day on merit-based immigration. We can now deny immigrants who are very likely to end up government assistance.
Meanwhile, Bernie and Warren want to spend $Trillions giving illegals free healthcare!
The Democrats continue to drive support to Trump with their unicorn promises and anti-America leftist garbage.
But I digress.
Bottom line, I see the Democrats ridiculous 100% partisan impeachment as an abuse of Congressional powers and an affront to the Constitution. We should be thankful the Senate is putting and end to their lies, incompetence, and political games.
But we should all brace ourselves for another 9 months of the Democrats doing nothing for the country and attacking Trump at every turn.
In fact, it’ll surely continue throughout his second term.
Thanks for the chat. And again, kudos for your intelligence and ability to have an effective discussion,

@bt2555 ... At no point did I suggest I'm "against protecting our planet" or that I believe "everything is ok". I encourage you to read comments thoroughly before replying.
My point is there's many significant influences to climate change and weather events aside from human activity. They include volcanoes, solar energy (a MASSIVE factor), natural changes to wind patterns, and the natural carbon cycle.
As well, there's good evidence our planet's constantly changing position in relation to other planets can influence climate. More science needs to occur, but it's likely that Jupiter and Saturn's gravity influences our climate cycles.
Furthermore, there's new theories regarding the impact on climate of our suns' position in our galactic disc. It appears we may be on a climate cycle based on tens of millions of years. Again, you'll rarely hear the MSM and climate alarmists discuss this research.
The MSM also likes to throw around the words "historic", "record", "extreme", and "all time worst" when reporting weather and climate events. This is another huge lie by omission. We only have accurate weather data for about 100 years. And we only have detailed measurement of storm strength (tornadoes, hurricanes) for less than 50 years. On a 4.5 billion year old planet!
Many people hear "record" and they assume it's an all-time comparison. It's mind boggling how often MSM and climate alarmists use this ploy to mislead and misinform. But there's big money in spreading unreasonable fear.
Bottom line, I'm fully aware we have to be FAR more responsible. Aside from significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions we must better address pollution such as plastic in the ocean. While it's a global issue, Asian countries are particularly guilty of ruining the global environment with both plastic and carbon emissions.
However it's important to remember climate change will occur, and species will go extinct, regardless of what we do, or don't do. It's been happening for 4.5 billion years due to many factors completely beyond our control. The MSM and climate alarmists lie by omission when they attribute events entirely to human activity.

@joeypoil9370 ..Actually, you can ask questions of science. The more the better. That's its beauty. It's constantly changing as we learn more. Just look at how much we've learned, and how many tweaks we've made to theories, in the past 100 years. It's mind boggling.
And anyone can disprove a scientific theory. They just need to provide evidence that's valid, tested, repeatable, peer-reviewed and preferably published. Simple really... :)
The fundamental problem with religion and the various God delusions is there's zero valid evidence for the claims. Quite the opposite, there's mountains of evidence (like evolution) to disprove the claims. And remember, there's been literally hundreds of different God stories in recorded human history. For the current religions/cults to claim the most recent stories are true, while all of the previous ones aren't, is irrational.
Thanks for your honesty. I always find it perplexing to learn people have gone from believing religion and God is an "obvious lie" to believing in a God (pick one). Pardon the analogy, but in my opinion it's exactly like an adult going back to believing in the Tooth Fairy.
The main point of the different creation stories was to remind you there's been many. All of them as ridiculous as the other. And none supportable using common sense and logic. The story of a God making the first humans from corn is as believable as the Adam and Eve story. Yet millions still believe it. smh.

Chunkboi, you make many good points. However, we'll need to disagree on many topics. For every source/indicator you used to support your opinion (or counter my opinion) I could find a source/indicator to support my opinion and counter your argument.
I'd be remiss to not address one of your key points, however. Trump's made many important decisions to reverse Obama mistakes (a big part of why he was elected)...but the following 3 are among my favorites:
1. Getting the US out of the ridiculous, unenforceable, photo-op, billion dollar boondoggle called the Paris Climate treaty. A deal that benefits the world's worst polluters at the expense of responsible countries.
2. Overturning Obama's perplexing cancellation of the Keystone Pipeline.
3. Giving more power to individual States to control their own environmental policies by reducing Federal regulatory hindrances.
And remember...Citizens in the "energy" States have the ability to dictate whether they want coal mines, pipelines, fracking, etc. If the majority don't, they can simply vote for a different State government (or work to change State policy).
I can't verify the following statement... but I believe most US states exceed emission targets and have significant environmental controls that surpass other countries? California comes to mind. And they have a larger population (and GDP) than Canada.
Lastly, we'll REALLY need to disagree on what Seth Meyers' doing with his incessant anti-Trump propaganda.
Propaganda is defined as "Information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view."
1. Meyers misleads with almost every Trump or Republican "joke". Mostly with lies-by-omission from cherry picking quotes and articles. And his video subject lines are often flat-out lies intended to misinform/mislead. Finally, he regularly changes the context of 'news' to push his personal agenda. In other words, what he's doing fits the definition of propaganda.
2. Have you EVER heard Meyers joke about ANYTHING anti-Democrat or anti-Obama/Hillary? For example, why no mention of Bill Clinton in relation to the Stormy topic?! (the jokes write themselves). Meyers personal bias (and that of his employer) means he'd never speak negatively about the Clintons or the Democrat party.
3. Have you ever heard Meyers joke about ANYTHING positive Trump has done? As I noted above, the list is long. For example, his propaganda on the tax reforms was egregiously one-sided, negative and deliberately misleading. (yes, I know the personal tax breaks have a sunset clause. But can you imagine any future government raising personal taxes?! Trump's move was brilliant. )
4. Meyers would rather joke incessantly about any topic that misleads and/or pushes his personal bias. For example, the dead-in-the-water "investigation" on Russia we've been hearing about for over a year. Or giving the porn star extra coverage at any opportunity (see # 2).
5. Meyers propaganda also uses repeated and cruel attacks on Trump's wife and family. It's ok to insult Trump... since he regularly insults others. But attacks on Melania, Ivanka and others makes Meyers look like a delusional idiot. It's not "comedy" to incessantly bring the President's family into his propaganda.
Bottom line, we'll need to disagree on the most important principle. I think the US is doing excellent under Trump. It's significantly improved over Obama and the Democrats (I shudder to think where we'd be under Hillary). And Trumps less than 2 years into a likely 8 year run.

@g0net0day ...lol. Needless to say I'm not at all worried about threats from fictional books!
I'll never understand why believers resort to ludicrous scare tactics when faced with facts and logic.
The good news is Christians aren't the worst in term of getting angry and threatening trying to defend their story. In my experience, Mormons are far worse.
Ironically, most Muslims I've talked to are more accepting of non believers.
Bottom line, I will never believe your God story is true.
I will also never believe the many other God stories currently worshipped (many that predate the Jesus story), nor any of the hundreds of Gods/Goddesses that were worshipped in ancient Sumeria, Persia, Mesopotamia, Eqypt, Greece, Rome, etc etc.
You (and all believers) have my sincere sympathies. I feel sorry for those going through life following fictional stories, particularly if they were brainwashed as children.
Have a good one.

Yes, the numbers mentioned have been proven. There's plenty of information/data on government websites. Trump's strong new policies and the overturning of Obama-era hinderances to growth have led to the lowest unemployment rate in decades for blacks. More importantly, Trump's work is creating a very strong economy and helping ALL Americans, regardless of race.
For example, since 2016 there's been hundreds of thousands of new jobs created in manufacturing, construction, and small businesses. In addition, corporate spending and investor-confidence is the highest its been in decades. Primarily due to Trump's tax reforms, overturning of Obama-era policies, and new incentives for corporations to invest in America.
When corporations invest hundreds of billions in new initiatives, plants, and infrastructure the spin-offs for jobs and small businesses are amazing. For example, housing starts show a significant post-2016 jump. Trump's doing everything he promised and more.
I sympathize with your personal challenge getting that great job you deserve with your education. Be patient and keep at it. And remember, you may have to consider relocating to another State for the perfect job-fit for your skills.

@cosmosindia We agree 100% organized religion is a virus on the world. And you make a good point that it should be scientific and evolve. The unfortunate thing for humanity is organized religion has figured this out. Particularly the Christian cult. For example, there's actually a "Vatican Astronomer" (google Bill Maher's interview with him in his movie "Religulous")
The key job of the Vatican Astronomer is to reconcile ancient stories and incorporate new knowledge/scientific references into their cult's teachings. They know children in their cult (and their parents) have access to all the facts regarding the universe. And they know the bible and other ancient stories have been proven to be fictional. So they try to leverage tiny gaps in human knowledge.
Whenever they find a gap in our knowledge, they simply say their God must be responsible. Or, they simply attribute everything to "Intelligent Design". The best example is the ridiculous claim a God was responsible for the Big Bang. Their ultimate goal is to maintain the brainwashing of the cult as best they can and sustain their multi-$billion business/scam.
One irony in organized religion is Scientology's stories are actually more plausible than the older cults. They were developed with a lot of scientific knowledge. They're ridiculous and nonsensical stories... but not to the level of Noah's Ark, Jesus, Mohammad, Adam and Eve, Heaven/Hell, ....etc, etc etc. (And don't get me started on some of the Mormon cult's beliefs).
There are many people like you who believe in a God but dislike organized religion. There's also many Agnostics. As a non-believer and anti-theist, I can appreciate both groups. While I'll always disagree with any God story, I respect a person's right to believe whatever they want. There's also people who believe Bigfoot, Ghosts and Horoscopes are real so it would be illogical for me to entirely dismiss the concept of superstition.
Thank you for the great points. Bottom line, we certainly agree organized religion is a scourge on the world. All the best.

Andy Grace ...You make many great points. And you get an internet gold star for being able and willing to have a rational discussion on issues. It's extremely rare. Particularly in a CNN anti-Trump comment section.
My key goal with the list of quotes from Trump's speech was to educate people he said many important things and it wasn't just one sentence. I stopped after a small number and could've gone on for pages.
Certain media and fake-comedy shows will, of course, focus on negativity and attacking Trump. And one or two sentences of his speech. Worse, they'll lie-by-omission and try to make people think the sky is falling. And many will continue to fall for the propaganda.
The nonsensical reaction to the UN speech is similar to the Putin summit. Trump and Putin accomplished many great things. They made progress on issues of critical importance for both countries. And the world. Yet the entire discussion was about one sentence. A dumb mistake by Trump, no question, but it was illogical to ignore the many great accomplishments.
Regarding your great insights, I'll stick to the numbering approach:
1. I can't disagree. The US will undoubtedly have to meddle in the affairs of other countries. We've been doing it for hundreds of years. And many who are freaking out at Russia's meddling in our last election are ignoring the fact we've been meddling in foreign elections for decades. Including propaganda, cash payments and support of rebels. Something you'll never hear from some media and fake-comedy shows.
2. We agree.
3. We agree.
4. We agree.
5. I can't disagree. The Saudi situation will continue to be very complex for Presidents. Regardless of who it is.
6. Disagree. The US was integral in lessening ISIL's impact and expansion. And Trump's words and actions (such as dropping the "mother of all bombs") sent a powerful message to them they'd best go back to their caves.
7. We agree.
8. Good points. But I agree with Trump 100% on this one. Iran cannot even think they're going to be able to want death to America and Israel (implied or otherwise) ...and have nuclear weapons. As you point out, it's similar to the North Korea situation. (another major Trump foreign policy success...thus far).
9. You're right. The US has been mostly responsible for the decline of manufacturing, corporate investment, etc. In addition to the reasons you mention, I think poor trade deals and a high corporate tax rates were part of the problem. Trump has made good progress on trade (still a long ways to go) and his significant lowering of the corporate tax rate (plus deregulation and adding other incentives) is leading to very strong levels of investment. Post-2016 numbers are excellent. (the "Trump effect" is real). Which is leading to jobs, spin-offs for small business, etc, etc. Trump's tax reforms will go down as the best legacy from his first term.
Lastly, I agree we will "always have a trade deficit". But the question is how large. I like Trump's work thus far addressing the overall issues. Although international trade is supposed to be a win-win, it's far from that for many products.
And there's going to be some short term pain for long term gain with respect to Trade. Even some Democrat-aligned unions are supportive of Trump's actions thus far.
Again, thanks for your many good points. We may disagree on a few topics but effective discourse is woefully lacking in this vid's comment section. I have a primary comment using the same 9 speech points if you want to continue the chat there.

@andrewtomlinson5237 ..The good news is you know Trump isn't a racist.
The usual answer from Democrats and Trump haters is a long list of lies and quotes taken completely out of context.
Or old stories from the 80's and 90s with no basis in fact.
The bad news is you show a complete lack of understanding of the big picture.
For example, it's ludicrous to compare our country to the UK, Canada or Australia.
We have 330 million people spread out over 50 States and territories.
The combined population of California and New York is about the same as the UK.
Australia? HALF the population of California.
And California has 5 million more people than Canada... and a much larger economy.
Moreover, before ever citing country-to-country data, learn the importance of PER CAPITA.
Regarding your specific reasons for hating Trump, we simply disagree.
What you call 'narcissism", I call great confidence. All great leaders need it.
Don't get me wrong..Trump makes mistakes and has said some stupid things. But he's kept promises, put America (and Americans) FIRST, and the country is succeeding because of it.
And I shudder to think of the damage another Democrat leader could inflict on the country.
Disagree? Do some research on why Obama led the Dems to slaughter in the 2014 midterms, including an all time record increase in GOP Senate seats.
Trump's landslide 2016 electoral victory came next.
And some friendly advice...I encourage you to drop the ad-hominem attacks on Republicans and Trump supporters. It diminishes your opinion and makes you look like you have full blown TDS.
Lastly, since you're a Trump hater, you have my sympathies.
It's going to be a REALLY long next 4 years for you. Enjoy the peace and prosperity but try to pace yourself. Hate and denial isn't healthy.

The riot should never have happened, but I sure understand where the frustration comes from.

I respect your coherent argument, but must disagree on a number of points:
1. It's illogical to say Senator's violated their oath. Let's remember that the Senate also acquitted Clinton, despite a bipartisan impeachment and irrefutable proof of actual crimes (including a felony). Did Senators violate their oath?
2. The entire burden of proof was on the Democrats and they failed miserably. That "investigation" you refer to was rushed, flawed, biased and unfair. As McConnell repeatedly said, the Senate can't do the job of the House.
3. The Democrats could've used the SCOTUS to compel witnesses and documents in the House, but they chose not to. This was their biggest mistake. The SCOTUS was involved in all past impeachments.
4. The Senate knew they couldn't do the job of the Judiciary/SCOTUS and rule on Executive Privilege (also something McConnell said repeatedly).
5. Let's remember there was no crime in the 2 Articles. And more importantly, let's remember the Democrats said their case was "overwhelming and rock solid"...BEFORE they even got to the Senate.
Bottom line, I think it's important for Democrats to accept the failure of their leaders. Schiff lied repeatedly throughout the process, Pelosi sunk their case with incompetence and political games, and Schumer's hypocrisy was on full display.
Trump's impeachment will go down in history as nothing more than the Democrats abusing Congressional powers and spitting on the Constitution in a lame attempt to influence an election.
It's best for Democrats to accept this fact.

@TheTardisNamedSexy ...You provide a good summary of the entire situation. For the most part, it's factual account. There's some conjecture (particularly re Guiliani's motive/role) but it's still a reasonable view from a Dem supporter's perspective.
However, your bottom line is where the entire process will fail.
"Extortion" isn't even close to an apt description of what occurred. Trump used, at worse, poor judgement. I know he'll never admit it using those words, but that's what it was.
More importantly, here's why the Dems will fail (and not just because they don't have the votes in the Senate):
1. They'll have to reveal under oath the timing of the role of the whistleblower vis a vis his previous interactions with Dem leaders and (especially) his lawyer's 3 year mission for a "coup" and impeachment. If there's anything pre-planned, the entire case will blow up in the Dem's face.
2. Mulvaney was 100% correct when he said "get over it" with respect to countries using foreign aid ("favors") as a tool. It's what Biden was doing, it's what Obama did on multiple occasions...and it's what all Democrats know is a reality.
Clinton committed one of the worst possible acts for President (Perjury, with a Grand Jury no less) and still wasn't removed from office.
The reason was the Senate knew he'd fu-ked up big time, but in no way should he be removed for the mistake.
There's no way Trump's poor judgement is worse than perjury. And if by some massive stretch of logic he's removed from office, he'll simply run as an independent in 2020 and will annihilate both Republicans and Democrats in many parts of the country.
Bottom line, I respect your knowledge of the issues. We'll simply have to disagree that there's an impeachable offense.
If that changes in the coming weeks, I'll be the first to admit it.
Thanks for the chat. It's exceedingly rare in the CNN anti-Trump echo chamber to come across people that can actually can have an effective debate on issues. I'm sure we'll chat again sometime down the road.

CNN is trying hard to spin and failing miserably. It's the Democrats who've abused their Congressional power with a 100% partisan impeachment based on hate and emotion, not facts and logic.
The "rule of law" argument is specious, at best.
Let's review the progression of the Dem's impeachment circus:
1. Trump committed a quid pro quo and used a foreign country to influence an election!
2. Forget that, Trump committed bribery, extortion and treason!
3. Um, sorry, let's change that to Obstruction of Justice and violation of the Constitution!
4. Oops, wait a sec, how about we go with Obstruction of Congress and abuse of power...kinda, sorta, maybe.
What a joke.
No wonder support for Trump (and against impeachment) is stronger than ever.

@DavesCoolStuff ...Firstly, you're wrong to make generalizations as to how the world views Trump. Leave that garbage to CNN. You don't have a shred of valid proof to back up such claims.
Secondly, a couple of your examples aren't lies, they're personal opinions, past business dealings, and foreign policy decisions,
And I hope you realize that none of those examples could be construed as truly hurting the country, which is why I asked the question in the first place.
Regarding the Syria issue, you really need to do some research on the geopolitical issues of the region. Turkey is a NATO ally and has been dealing with Kurdish terrorist groups based in Northern Syria for years. As well, remember that there's about 20 million Kurds living in Turkey as citizens. Moreover, both Russia and Turkey are fellow enemies of ISIS. It's great they're taking a more active role containing them.
Trump's Syria strategy will go down as one of the best foreign policy legacies from his first term.
I agree some of the things Trump said has "hurt others". He's said some idiotic things.
But I could list dozens of examples of past Presidents saying similar stuff that hurt others. And I'll bet you could as well.
Lastly, the point of my question on what Trump lies have 'hurt the country" is for you to look at the big picture.
Don't buy into the CNN propaganda and ludicrous "15,000 lies" crap. Ask yourself what really matters to the country and our well being.
Trump has done an excellent job...flaws and all.
I look forward to his second term. And let's face it, the Democrat alternatives are nothing short of scary for the country.

@G Bogart ..You're right, Trump has been impeached twice.
But it's important to put the impeachments into proper context.
1. Trump's first impeachment was from a 100% partisan vote in the House, the first in history. In fact, two Democrats voted against impeachment. In other words, Pelosi and the Democrats abused Congressional powers and took a crap on the Constitution.
Before you disagree, please remember that in the hearings a Constitutional lawyer warned the Democrats of how history would view a 100% partisan impeachment.
And I remind you that Pelosi said in 2017 (two years prior) that she "can't impeach Trump unless it's bipartisan".
She lied.
2. Trump's second impeachment was the first in history without investigations, hearings or witnesses in the House.
There's no way the Senate can condone the House ignoring the basic principles of justice.
Bottom line, regardless of what happens with the Senate vote, Trump's legacy is solid.
But both his impeachments will reflect very badly on the Democrats (and the legacy of Pelosi, Schiff, Shumer etc) for their abuse of power.

Fajitahmed ..Yep, it is. Here's why Trump's legacy is solid and his impeachment is completely meaningless compared to Clinton's:

Yep, the earth's climate is changing. Just as its done for over 4 billion years. Influenced by major factors beyond our control, such as tectonic activity, wind patterns, solar radiation and the natural carbon cycle. In addition, there's been interesting information recently of the influence on climate of our solar system's position in our Galactic disk.
While we need to be FAR more responsible with pollution and carbon emissions, we need to realize these other major factors. And realize we only have accurate weather data for less than 200 years (on a 4+ billion year old earth).
And we only have good data on storm strength, ocean and land temperatures, rainfall, etc for much less than that. While we can use ice cores, tree rings, geology and other methods to look farther back, it's difficult to come up with detailed comparisons.
I also see many people falling for the term "record" for weather events. You never see the news and climate alarmists add much needed qualifiers for calling an event a "record". For example, we only a good understanding of hurricane strength from about *1880 til now. And, of course, satellite technology is less than 30 years old. (source: *GFDL).
I just think it's important to look at the big picture with respect to climate change rather than focus on a small number of factors. And always take the word "record" with proper context.

@nameyourchannel7844 ..You appear to be capable of having an adult conversation. Your first comment suggested otherwise. So I'll chat for a bit.
The "fact" that I mentioned in my first comment is quite clear.
Here's the definition of "superstition":
"A widely held but unjustified belief in supernatural causation leading to certain consequences of an action or event, or a practice based on such a belief."
In addition to the fact God is a superstition, I often remind believers that following a God (pick one) is delusional, for the same core reasons. The definition of delusional is: "..a belief that's maintained despite being contradicted by reality and rational argument".
To state my point another way, it's superstitious to believe a God (pick one) is responsible for anything in our 13 billion year-old universe or 4.5 billion year-old planet. Including life and our species.
But don't feel bad for maintaining a delusional belief. It's very common. As well, the God superstition goes back many thousands of years. Long before your particular God story (I assume you worship the Jewish/Christian/Muslim God), there were literally hundreds of other stories.
Knowing this fact, It's perplexing for rational people that there's still billions afflicted with the God superstition/delusion.
Of course, we know it's primarily due to believers being brainwashed as children and/or falling victim to one of the organized religions/cults.
Lastly, while I assume you've heard all the arguments against your particular superstition/delusion, I'll end with a common one:
I could claim there's a Pink Unicorn in the sky who's responsible for creating the universe and life. Such a claim is EXACTLY like claiming a God did it.

@nameyourchannel7844 ..Thank you for the response and I respect your opinion. But we'll need to disagree of course.
I always find it fascinating (and a bit sad) there's still people out there using arguments for superstitious stories that have been resoundingly disproven. So I see our chat as an opportunity to educate you.
Firstly, I highly recommend you stop trying to prove your God story with the ridiculous claim evolution isn't fact. While it's officially called a theory, that's because science is constantly advancing knowledge.
Whole you're right to suggest there are some gaps in our knowledge on the universe and the history of life, the gaps are easily filled with the mountains of other evidence. You call them "assumptions", science calls them educated hypothesis.
Conversely, religion doesn't have tangible facts and evidence for their claims. So they spend their time trying to attack the gaps. But I'll come back to that.
Regarding the evolution of life, I encourage you to do some research on DNA. It's perhaps the best evidence of billions of years of evolution. For example, we share the majority of our DNA with our mammalian cousins, such as pigs, apes, chimps, dogs, elephants, whales, etc.
We also share some level of DNA with all other animal species. And even plants. I personally regard DNA science as the best evidence of the approx. 3.5 billion year evolution of life.
As a simpler bit of proof, I encourage you to do some research on vestigial evidence of our evolution. For example, the hair follicles over our entire body, male nipples, muscles to move our ears, wisdom teeth, and our tail bone.
Regarding the stories you mention, I think it's important for you to realize that the number of Christian who take a literal interpretation of the Bible and related stories is decreasing. Particularly among young people.
In my experience discussing the topic (and through research) I know there's now millions of Christians who know the stories of the flood and human creation just can't be true. Therefore, they now take a more holistic view. I respect these people a lot more.
Moreover, there's Christian sects such as Catholicism and Mormonism who've adapted their stories to fit new scientific knowledge. For example, the Vatican's official position is that evolution is fact.
Of course, they're now trying to sell the scam that God put evolution in motion and is involved every step of the way. They call it Theistic Evolution.
It's as laughable a claim as "Intelligent Design". (by the way, both arguments are easier for believers to defend than your implausible "God did it" claim...just a tip for your future chats)
Now...back to your fundamental problem: those claiming a God did everything have the entire burden of proof. And extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Those who claim the 'creation' of humans in our current form, or a great worldwide flood to wipe out an earlier version, have to provide extraordinary evidence.
You have nothing of the sort. And I recommend you never try the ridiculous "sedimentary layers" argument for a global flood. It's painfully flawed and illogical.
Lastly, and at the risk of you going even further down the rabbit of hole of superstition/delusion, I'll ask you a simple question:
1. Since there are about a dozen scientific methods (i.e. potassium-argon and rubidium-strontium) that we can cross reference to determine the earth is about 4.5 billion years old, please explain exactly WHEN your God put the first version of life forms here? (please also tell me exactly WHERE).
And then please explain when, in relation to the first life, he killed off humanity with this "flood", and replaced humans with a new version?
Please be specific. And please don't simply quote your fictional book and/or myths and superstitions. I want to hear your interpretation/understanding using facts, logic and scientific principles.
I look forward to your answer.

NameYourChannel..Yes, it’s fascinating the universe, earth and life exist. And it’s amazing to think about those first simple life forms 3.5 billion years ago and how it’s all led to such a massive diversity of species.
With all this awe inspiring knowledge, I always find it amazing theres still people who refer to fictional stories to try to explain why we’re here. Based on my many chats with believers, I can see your superstitions and delusions are particularly deep seeded. It really quite sad.
The good news is you show some intelligence and understanding of scientific principles. I therefore encourage you to use that knowledge to do some more research on evolution, DNA evidence, vestigial remnants ( which you didn’t address), and the geological history of the earth.
I’ve educated you on the basics, but clearly you need to delve a lot deeper.
Now, back to your fundamental problem. You have the complete burden of proof for your religion’s ridiculous claims. Yet you’ve provided zero evidence.
Instead, you’ve referred to a fictional book, repeated delusional arguments for superstitious beliefs, and questioned the small gaps in scientific knowledge (which I acknowledged to exist in an earlier comment).
So I’ll give you another chance. You didn’t answer my question. Please review it, and provide a detailed explanation of the when and where of ‘creation’.
And since you brought up fossils again, please explain those life forms in relation to the Ark story.
Again, I look forward to the answer.

@gotanygrapes2471 ..Incorrect, there's no crime alleged in the Articles of Impeachment. And worse for the Dems, the "abuse of power" charge could've been used against EVERY past President.
And even worse for the Dems, the "Obstruction of Congress" charge is not only NOT a crime, it ignores Constitutional Separation of Power.
Aside from these facts, I encourage you to go listen to McConnell's full speech on why the Dem's impeachment is DOA to the Senate.
No crime, no involvement of the SCOTUS, no fair process, massive bias (Dems on record calling for impeachment BEFORE Trump was elected!), Schiff's lies, etc etc etc.
Facts are important.

Graith Tools...You make good points. Again, we agree we must look at many different factors with respect to climate change. That's my main point. My secondary point is that climate change has been occurring for billions of years. And it's also occurred very rapidly, relatively speaking, in the past (with no human influence). Just as it's doing now. Another fact you'll rarely hear.
The alarmist rhetoric I refer to (along with the lies by omission) is when information sources imply the only reason for climate change is human carbon emissions. They should be mentioning all the other factors. It's misleading. While you are well-informed and researched...many aren't.
I've had many discussions on climate change where the other person has no context on historical data and other factors. For example, that "record" weather events are usually based on less than 50 years of accurate data! Or that ice-core, tree ring and geologic climate data is based on a tiny, tiny percentage of the earth's 4+ billion year old history.
I''ve also learned in my discussions on climate change of another major barrier to knowledge...the God-delusion. For example, there's actually still people so brainwashed and uneducated they think the earth is less than 15,000 years old. And that humans (specifically "Adam and Eve") walked with dinosaurs! (smh)
Needless to say, it's pretty difficult to have a rational discussion on climate change over millions and billions of years when the other person has such a myopic perspective...:/
Again, your points are good... and I congratulate you for staying informed. We agree we have to responsible with carbon emissions. We simply disagree on the certainty and urgency of aspects of climate change in the big picture. And I'll remind you that those "thousands of scientists" are very careful to use terms like "most likely".
Lastly, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out you indeed used ad-hominem. It includes attacking the motives of the other person. When you said "peddling an agenda based on propaganda and willful deception".. you provided a perfect example of ad hominem. And before you say it, I know I also used ad hominem when I accused scientists of "alarmist rhetoric and lies by omission". The difference is mine was directed generally at a group rather than an individual.

The Memo ..Lol, once again you’re very, let’s say, fact-challenged.
Trump wasn’t charged with any crimes in either impeachment. Unlike Clinton, who was charged with Obstruction of Justice, Witness Tampering and Perjury (a felony).
A few more Fun Facts on Trump’s impeachments:
1. The first impeachment was based on lies and the first in history to have a 100% partisan vote in the House. In fact, the Democrats couldn’t even get all their own members to go along with the scam as 3 voted against impeachment. I bet anything you had no idea that happened.
2. Pelosi had said in 2017 the Democrats mustn’t impeach Trump unless it’s bipartisan. She knew history would view such an action as massive abuse of Congressional powers. Which is exactly what happened.
3. Trump’s second impeachment was the first in history without investigations, hearings and witnesses at the House level. The Democrats were then destroyed with facts in the Senate.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Trump used poor judgment in his call with Ukraine. But there was no crime. For example, there was zero evidence of “extortion” or any connection between the military aid and the meeting Ukraine wanted. The Democrats case fell apart literally with their first star witness (who “presumed” what Trump wanted)….and it went downhill from there.
Which was why even 3 Democrats voted against impeachment. Lol!
Re Jan 6, no rational person thinks it was a “coup” or “insurrection”. It was bunch of idiots and losers (one wearing horns) who didn’t understand what Trump meant by “Peacefully make your voices heard at the Capitol”. Bet you didn’t know he said that.
One last Fun Fact: By definition, the BLM and Antifa “Autonomous Zone” in the middle of Seattle was an ACTUAL insurrection.

Please provide this "evidence" you refer to. And remember, evidence needs to be fact-based. It can't be ad-hominem attacks, subjective opinions, conspiracy theories, involve Trump's wife/family, or any un-substantiated garbage from propaganda shows.
I look forward to your fact-based evidence that focuses on the things that matter. For example, the economy, jobs, foreign policy, corporate investment, energy security, housing-starts, national security, immigration, tax reform (etc, etc).
And remember: Trump's massive accomplishments in less than 2 years have almost nothing to do with Obama. The statistics and trends show this fact.
All that said, I look forward to hearing your "evidence" that Trump is a failure.

Anne Isopod...Let me explain in detail, going step by step.
1. My original comment speaks to the gullibility of the human species and their tendency to use confirmation bias.
2. I then replied to someone else, expanding on my point.
3. You subsequently responded, used some childish insults, and questioned my statement that UFOs aren’t real.
4. The underlying premise of me saying UFOs aren’t real, logically, is that I meant alien-driven crafts.
5. In your criticism of me saying UFOs aren’t real, you implied you believe they are.
6. Which takes us to my question to you: “Why do you think UFOs are real”
7. Your response was to say you were talking about UFOs in general (which could be anything, including weather balloons, drones, hoaxes, etc).
8. Your comment clearly implies you don’t believe in UFOs piloted by aliens. Moreover, since you didn’t try to answer my questions and provide any evidence for alien-piloted UFOs, I naturally assumed we were on the same page.
I hope that helps clear it up for you. And again, I’m glad you don’t believe in alien- piloted UFOs. That shows intelligence.
(If for some stretch of logic and reason you actually DO believe in alien piloted UFOs and are just playing games, please again read my original question on providing hard evidence, and respond)

Sander Ananas..You ruined your comment with brutal insults and ad hominem.
I’ll never understand why people would insult random strangers on the internet simply because they don’t agree with them.
Worse, its a completely useless way to try to make a point, or convince the other person, or win a debate.
Google “7 levels of disagreement” and note the bottom 3 levels. That’s where your the vast majority of your comment resides. If I’m generous, you achieved level 4—“Contradiction”, which is still a very poor way to disagree.
But don’t feel bad...You’ll note that “Anne” also used multiple insults. As well, you’ll note the first reply to me didn’t bother to address the central topic at all and just used an ad hominem attack.
So you’ve made it 3 for 3. It’s perplexing.
If you want to have an adult conversation, try to get up into levels 5 and 6. If you believe in alien-piloted UFOs, show the evidence.
And remember the definition of evidence...it’s verifiable facts.
Evidence is NOT conspiracy theories, unverifiable claims, presumption, or a long list of questions.
Do not provide links me to some nutjob conspiracy site showing doctored photos or feeding ignorance with wild unproven theories.
Lastly, you made another error in reasoning in your comment. The burden of proof always lies with those making a claim. Claims made without evidence do not have to be disproven.
In other words, it’s nonsensical to ask a person to prove why they don’t believe something. It’s already implied...it’s because there’s no facts, logic and evidence.
The best example of the burden-of-proof concept is with regards to the God delusion. You often hear believers say “You can’t prove God doesn’t exist”. Such a comment is completely nonsensical and an insult to intelligence.
Bottom line, I fully understand the gullibility of the human species.

@jalite1991 ...Firstly, Obama led the worst recovery from a recession in our history. Google it.
Secondly, his administrations are responsible for about $10 Trillion to the current national debt, and he doubled it. It wasn't an "extra $5 trillion".
You need to accept this fact and not confuse it with deficits.
Thirdly, Trump's accomplishments for the economy have been historic in many respects.
For example, corporate investment, job growth, and the highest increase in median Middle Class income levels in history (FAR more than under Obama, despite the false economy propped up with 10 $Trillion in new debt).
If you wonder why Trump's rallies have thousands, look no further than the middle class statistic.
And before you try to claim the Trump economy, GDP, record Stock Market etc are all due to Obama policies...that lie has been thoroughly debunked.
We're succeeding under Trump because of historic tax reforms, corporate investement incentives, Trade deals, deregulation and a reversal of Obama era policies.
Finally, you didn't answer my question:
Do you support free healthcare for ALL illegals (including convicted criminals currently enjoying the protection of sanctuary laws)?

Jalite...Where to begin.
Firstly, read my comments again. Slowly. I gave you the key policies and actions that have led to Trump’s excellent economic records. Hint, they have nothing to do with the Obama era. Read what I said.
Secondly, the “straight line” argument that everything just continued from Obama has been debunked. You appear to understand how google works, so search away.
Thirdly, I didn’t reply to your ridiculous 50 Trillion argument because it’s specious. The discussion is about what government is paying into healthcare programs (only about a $trillion per year), not the total that everyone pays.
Bernie and Warren’s unicorn math is laughable. And you’ll note that their support is dropping. Rationale people will never support free healthcare for illegals. They overreached and are handing the nomination to quid pro Joe.
Lastly, you appear to have great difficulty admitting when you’re wrong. Just give up on the debt discussion. I educated you that Obama doubled our debt by adding about 10 $trillion. I agree Trump needs to rein in the deficit.
So in summary...read my comments again, slowly, to learn why Trump’s setting so many records, do some research on the ridiculous “straight line” fallacy, and drop the insults and ad hominem.
Using them is always a sure sign someone knows they’ve lost a debate.

Since this is a CNN anti-Trump comment section I thought it might be a good idea to provide just a few quotes from Trump's speech that should matter to Americans. The full speech is available on Politico. Read the full speech to get context to the following Trump quotes:
Etc. etc

nabok kills...I can't disagree Trump's different than every previous President. In many respects. Frankly, it's part of the reason he was elected. People became fed up with professional politicians using mind-numbing, intelligence-insulting political jargon written by speech writers (which is Obama, Sanders, and Hillary in a nutshell). More importantly, people became fed up at brutal domestic policies, regulations, trade deals, foreign policies, border security, etc etc from the Obama era.
Also, we need to remember our society is quite new to the whole social media thing. Just imagine if Clinton or Bush jr had access to Twitter!. And we didn't have such a widespread use of propaganda and lies-by-omission (for both parties) in media and fake-comedy shows (i.e Colbert and Meyers) during Obama's terms.

renaissance1980 ..I didn't say Trump won all of the other 48 States, just that overall he won them by 2 million votes. Just like Hillary won CA and NY by 5 million votes.
Again, I think it's a fun fact for Dems and Trump haters.
Most are completely unaware that Hillary's popular vote win needs an asterisk.
The Founding Fathers were smart with the Electoral College system. Otherwise, CA and NY would determine the President every election. No one wants that.
Regarding your other points, here's a few other Fun Facts:
1. Trump never called the Covid virus a hoax. The context of his comment was the Democrats using the crisis for more lies and political attacks...just like the impeachment hoax. Google it. You really need to stop watching propaganda media like CNN and MSNBC.
2. Trump has admitted he was overly positive early in the crisis with statements like "15 to 0". But let's remember NY Governor Cuomo said he had "everything under control" on March 3, and De Blasio told New Yorkers to "act normal, ride the subway, go to school".
And then Cuomo put Covid-positive seniors into nursing homes, resulting in thousands of deaths.
New York State has about 1/4 of the country's Covid deaths with half the population of California. While population density is a factor, it's clear that Cuomo and De Blasio were criminally negligent and blaming Trump for all 150,000 deaths is ludicrous.
3. And remember Biden calling the China Travel restriction "xenophobic and hysterical"? Or Pelosi visiting China Towns encouraging everyone to go? Or other Dem leaders calling Trump "racist" for his travel ban?
Bottom line, I think Trump haters REALLY need to start looking at the facts.
Then you'll realize why his support is stronger than ever. (polls are meaningless)

I find it mind boggling people are still repeating this lie. Trump never called the virus a hoax. The context of the word "hoax" was the Democrats using the outbreak for political attacks.
Read what he said ...and learn:

@user-iz3gv5vo6b …The CA and NY votes matter. It’s just important for Democrats to realize that the rest of the country is basically divided right down the middle. Once they know the real numbers behind the popular vote they realize Potato Joe has a very weak mandate.
And the recent Virginia Governor results (plus brutal poll #s) show things are looking really good for a red wave this fall and into 2024.
You really shouldn’t be focusing on all the ‘orange man bad’ crap. That’s exactly what media and Democrat leaders want. They want to distract you from their hypocrisy, incompetence, and massive failures domestically and in foreign policy.
And you can’t honestly think Potato Joe and cackling Harris are doing a good job for the country? Worst President and VP in history, and we’re only a year in.
Here’s a few fun facts on incompetent Biden I bet you’re unaware of:
1. His Keystone pipeline cancellation killed thousands of jobs and drove up gas prices. He then removed Trump-era sanctions on a major Russian pipeline (a huge win for Putin) and begged OPEC to increase oil production. Hypocrisy personified.
2. The Afghanistan withdrawal debacle is well documented but I bet you don’t know about the whistleblower who exposed a Biden conversation with the Afghan President in July (a month before the withdrawal) where he told him to mislead the world on the Taliban’s strength. An impeachable offence if there ever was one.
3. Biden lied repeatedly about the vaccine. First he suggested it was a Democrat achievement that wasn’t ready when he took over, then he repeatedly claimed there was no distribution plan. Lies.
4. Biden recently proved he really has no clue what’s going on. When asked by a reporter if it’s true the government is considering paying illegals separated at the border $400k he said no way, it’s a “garbage story”. Next day his handlers had to walk it back.
5. Biden has repeatedly lied about the true cost of his spending plans. He counts on the Democrat’s ignorant voter base to think it’ll all be paid for with fairy dust and won’t impact inflation and the debt.
6. Bet you don’t know we’re spending $Billions to companies to NOT build border barriers. They had contracts. And bet you don’t know that Biden has had to reinstate Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. CNN and MSNBC have avoided that story like the plague.
7. Lastly, Biden has repeatedly said “President Harris”, fell asleep at the Climate conference, farted on a member of the Royal Family, got lost at the G20, confused Syria with Libya in a speech, and repeatedly confused vaccines and pills in his New Year’s interview.
And he won by 7 million!? smh

D W ..Those cave paintings were debunked by palaeontologists. While they’re dated to the time people were in the area, those thinking they represent dinosaurs are simply seeing what they want to see. It’s similar to the many examples of ancient human drawings being interpreted as aliens.
But that’s only the start of a long list of inconvenient truths for those making the humans with dinosaurs claim:
1. The last dinosaurs died off about 65 million years ago while the oldest hominid fossils are from about 7 million years ago.
2. The first peoples in the Americas (where these paintings were found) were homo sapians. Our oldest fossils go back around 250,000 years.
3. The oldest fossils of homo sapians found in the Americas are about 20,000 years old.
Therefore, for Christians to try to claim humans existed with dinosaurs is a completely ludicrous fantasy.
Of course, it’s an understandable ploy. It’s important for Christianity, and all religions, to try hard to maintain their delusional belief systems, particularly among children. They’re the future of the cult and brainwashing starts early.
It’s child abuse to teach children ridiculous fictional stories such as Adam and Eve or the Ark are true. And an adult believing dinosaurs existed alongside humans is sad. They might as well also believe the sun revolves around the earth.
By the way, there isn’t a shred of ad hominem in my original comment or my first reply to you. Conversely, your first comment was 100% ad hominem. It dealt entirely with the person, rather than addressing the issues under discussion.
I encourage you to learn the meaning of phrases before applying them. And yes, I know I’ve used some ad hominem in this comment.
Thanks for the chat. I’m glad to have educated you. I know facts won’t change your belief systems. For that, you have my sympathies.

Occupy ReaLity...just to add to your comment from yesterday. And using the same source you likely used (USA Today):
• 3% of Americans own 50% of the guns. "Super users" like the Vegas psycho are in this category. BUT it's important to note 22% of Americans own guns. Over 55 million people.
Regarding the demographic of gun owners you mention. I think it's misleading unless given as a ratio to the population. For example, the article states : "25% of gun owners in America are white or multi-racial, compared with 16% of Hispanics and 14% of African Americans".
Therefore, using the 55 million number, the number of guns owned in America by demographic:
- 8.8 million Hispanics own guns (about 15% of their total population)
- 7.7 million African Americans own guns (about 18% of their total population)
- 13.75 million white/'multi-racial (about 6% of their total population)
Leaving OVER 25 MILLION "other" citizens who own guns.
Mind you, that could be how many guns Ted Nugent owns....
(To be clear, I'm not being racist with the demographic data. All humans are the same; we all evolved from shared ancestors from the continent now-known as Africa..over hundreds of thousands of years. "Race" can be better described as "Culture". Skin color, eye shape etc..is irrelevant in the big picture).
Interestingly, the country with the next highest rate of gun-related deaths, Switzerland (mentioned a few times in this thread), has over 20-25% of citizens who own guns. While the US has 18% (55 million/323 million). Yet America has almost 4 times the gun violence.

Agree. And here's some facts for the rioters and looters to ponder:
Bottom line, I agree the Minnesota cop's actions were criminal...and I hope he serves time.
But it's ludicrous to hate all police or think there's rampant racism or brutality based on .1% of cops and .0001% of arrests.
C'mon people, we're smarter than this.

@scooby45247 ...I respect your ability to have an adult discussion without use of insults or ad hominem. It's very rare in a CNN comment section. In no particular order:
1. The Democrats voted to leverage one of the most important Constitutional powers provided to Congress and impeach a President due to, and I quote, an "Overwhelming and rock solid case".
2. Isn't it funny how there is, in fact, no evidence of crime, let alone a rock solid case for removal.
3. The Dems abuse of power is their 100% partisan impeachment.
4. It's ludicrous for Dems to try to rewrite history regarding Clinton's bipartisan impeachment. He committed major crimes, including Witness Tampering, Obstruction of Justice, and Perjury (a felony). And before you say it...what he lied about is completely irrelevant.
And speaking of oaths.....
5. Your use of the Graham quote is smart. Touche.
6. A friendly reminder that Obama was cited by the GAO office for breaking federal laws SEVEN times. Yep, the same GAO office the Dems are using to accuse Trump of a the "crime" of withholding aid.
Bottom line, the Democrats have embarrassed themselves and shown their utter incompetence. Regardless what happens next, Trump will still be President when it's all over. And worst case, he'll be shown to have used poor judgement.
Which is far from what a felony...just saying.

imemine7...Congratulations, you succeeded where many have failed in this section.
When I’m educating Democrats, I usually put one incorrect or exaggerated detail amongst many facts.
A smart person will find the mistake, and an even smarter person will point it out without resorting to insults or ad hominem. You accomplished both.
Clinton wasn’t convicted in the Senate. His bi partisan impeachment (Trump’s is partisan) was for perjury (a felony) and obstruction of justice, but the Senate didn’t convict. Votes were pretty much along party lines.
So good catch.
However, everything else I stated regarding the huge differences between Trump’s and Clinton’s impeachments are facts....and inconvenient truths for Dems.
History will look very differently on them. There’s not only zero chance Trump gets removed from office, but his legacy will remain solid. Particularly when he gets his second term.
Regarding the GAO saying Trump broke the law by withholding the funds, that’s being disputed. Moreover, it’s far too late to be included in the Senate trial. It’s just another huge Democrat mistake in their flawed, rushed circus.
Again, good job with your comment. While others were busy calling me a “Trumptard” (etc), you focused on the topic, didn’t lob insults, and made some good points.
My thumbs up for your comment is valid.

@MrSoggyjocks ..I respect that you replied to my comment among all the noise in this section. Good job.
I'm glad you agree that perjury is serious. But we'll have to disagree that what Clinton lied about is remotely relevant.
In fact, because it was just to hide an affair makes it even worse.
It showed a complete lack of trust, integrity and character. Not to mention breaking every oath he'd made.
And yet, 100% of Democrat Senators thought he should remain in office.
More important to our discussion, you're making assumptions on what Trump MAY be convicted of.
There's no evidence thus far to meet the burden of proof for "treason", "bribery", "extortion", or any other of the allegations.
In my opinion. And despite what the Democrats are claiming.
Bottom line, the Democrats already decided they'd impeach Trump, regardless of facts an logic.
They're continuing the inquiry circus to grandstand for their base.
But again, there's no chance the Senate will remove Trump from office.
I find it mind boggling there's still some who think it'll happen.

@goutham94 ..No it's real. It's been occurring for billions of years on our 4.5 billion year-old earth. Aside from the ice-ages and other major extinction events (99% of species that have existed have gone extinct), there's been countless periods with higher levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere than now.
While we need to be FAR more responsible, there's many factors to climate change completely beyond our control. For example, solar energy, earth's axis-tilt, volcanic activity, tectonics, natural changes to wind patterns and ocean currents, the natural carbon cycle, etc.
The climate change alarmists want everyone to think that climate change is ENTIRELY due to human activity. We're a significant factor but this statement is a flat out lie.
As I said, media and climate alarmists use storms and natural weather events (floods, temperature "records", etc) to mislead and spread unreasonable fear. Hence their use of the words and phrases I mention in my original comment. They are lies-by-omission.

The Spartan...Thank you for the honest answers. Again, I respect your opinions.
We'll need to disagree on the god topic. But the good news is since you're a mono-theist (one god) believer, we differ in our beliefs by only one god-story!
I also think Xenu is a fake god. I've simply added your god to the long, long list of gods I don't believe in. You're 99.9% atheist. I'm 100% atheist. That's common ground...;)
I encourage you to seek facts and knowledge on the age of the earth. While doing so, you should probably seek knowledge on the evolution of species. If you believe a fictional character created the earth and universe, you probably believe he also created life.
While you research evolution, please ask yourself why you have (or had) wisdom teeth. And hair follicles everywhere. And a coccyx (tailbone). And muscles to move your ears. And a body made up of trillions of non-human cells. And a DNA make-up that's amazingly similar to our mammalian cousins, such as chimps, apes, gibbons, pigs, whales, dogs, etc etc.
And if you truly believe the "Adam and Eve" story ask yourself how Eve shaved her legs and armpits in the garden of eden...;)

Jack Richardson ..I see you have multiple comments in this section, each one similar to this.
I encourage you to do some research on the 4.5 billion year history of the earth and the many causes of climate change.
You could start as recently as 500 to 1,000 years ago to see significant warming and cooling cycles. (the Medieval warming period and "Mini Ice Age"). Not a lot of burning of fossil fuels going on at the time.
While human activity is definitely a factor, we're at the mercy of many others completely beyond our control, such as solar energy, tectonics, volcanoes, and natural changes to wind patterns and ocean currents.
And it's important to remember there's many natural sources of Co2. For example, wildfires emit MILLIONS of tons of co2 and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere each year. They've been a natural part of climate change for millennia.
Lastly, there's a good reason we no longer call it "global warming". I encourage you to learn why, and look deeply into the scientific consensus on "human-caused" climate change. You'll find a lot of words such as "likely" and "probably".

Jack Richardson ..Thanks for the opportunity for effective discussion. Yes, the greenhouse effect is absolutely a factor in climate change. And as I said, human activity is definitely contributing to this effect.
But there’s many other aspects to the carbon cycle. Moreover, there’s been many periods in earth history with significantly more carbon in the atmosphere than now. Over TEN times as much in fact.
That medieval warming period I referred to was partly a result of the greenhouse effect. Again, there sure wasn’t a lot of burning of fossil fuels at the time.
Earth’s temperature has fluctuated significantly. Some research and theory shows predictable cycles. Some short (thousands of years) and some much longer. The many factors to climate change are why temperature will fluctuate regardless of what we do (or don’t do).
In particular, we’re at the complete mercy of the sun. Which of course will eventually go super nova and eliminate the entire solar system, making climate change no longer a problem...:)
The main reason for my original comment is that we’re inundated with alarmist rhetoric and lies-by-omission regarding natural weather and climate events (including the growth and shrinking of ice sheets and glaciers). For example, media loves to use the words “record” or “historic” to describe storms or temperature events. You rarely hear them mention the records are based on only about 100 years of data and storm-strength measures started only about 50 years ago. On a 4.5 billion year old planet!
I guarantee a large percentage of people think these “records” are for the history of the earth. They think the same whenever they hear “all time worst!” to describe a weather event, drought, flood or storm. I’ve talked with some of these people. The level of ignorance is astounding. I call it Al Gore syndrome.
Bottom line, my point is there’s many significant causes of climate change besides human activity and it’s a blatant lie whenever media, special interest groups, or government say we’re entirely responsible.

tcphll Very well said. Although I stand by my final sentence 100%, I congratulate you for understanding the importance of context! You get it. You're in the minority. Particularly in a CNN anti-Trump propaganda vid.
On that theme, I'm curious what do you think of the following quotes from Trump's excellent speech. Its a very small sample so feel free to add to the list:

@AllezThierryHenry ..Sorry, but the analogy is perfect. The Tooth Fairy is as real as any of the thousands of Gods our species has worshiped. Not believing in her (?) can't be deemed "delusional".
You are smart to say "there are many rational reasons to believe" in a God. The key word is "reasons". I fully understand that the various God-stories, and the cults that promote them, give many 'reasons' to believe. It's exactly like parents telling their children if they put their tooth under their pillow they'll get money from the Tooth Fairy. It gives the child a 'reason' to believe.
I also agree there's some good that comes from the religion/cult businesses. However it's FAR outweighed by its crimes against humanity. Including war, genocide, child abuse, subjugation of women, genital mutilation of children, 8 year-old girls forced to marry, death to gays, forced "tithes" extorting money from cult members, televangelists preying on the weak and stupid so they can buy their 5th private jet to 'spread the word of Jesus'...etc, etc, etc.

Well said. And since you brought up some good statistics (I hope many people read your comment thoroughly), here's some more:
1. There's about 700,000 cops in America. Of those, about 1,200 are charged each year with crimes or offenses, including excessive force, discrimination, murder, fraud, etc.

@lisanidog8178 ..Thanks for answering my question.
You've confirmed my fears. You've been misled by lies from Democrat leaders and media.
1. Trump followed immigration/detention policies at the border that were established by previous administrations, including Obama. In fact, some of the pictures of "kids in cages" were taken under Obama and used by media to attack Trump.
https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2018/may/29/donald-trump/trump-correctly-tweets-democrats-mistakenly-tweete/
2. The border wall had nothing to do with race. It's about better security and a deterrent to illegals. Those against a wall/fence or other structure on the border must want all the current barriers removed? For example, the one down the middle of San Diego.
3. Trump asking for proof of Obama's birth had NOTHING to do with race. It was about whether he was eligible to be President (those born in other countries aren't). Moreover, please remember that Obama isn't black, he's biracial (white mom).
4. Trump never banned Muslims. He simply put a travel ban in place for countries that support terrorism. It's the SAME BAN that Obama (and Biden) had put in place, along with dozens of other countries. Did they also ban Muslims?
And now Biden is going to remove the travel ban, allowing countries like Afganistan, Syria and Yemen to send travelers.
5. Read all the details on that old case from the 1970s. There was ZERO proof that Trump was directly involved in any decisions made by apartment managers. This is one of the worst examples people try to use as proof Trump's racist.
6. Trump never praised white supremacists. He's repeatedly condemned them. And the Democrat and media lie that he called them "fine people" has been debunked numerous times. The context of his "fine people on both sides" comment was regarding the protests on a statue removal, not the riots.
https://www.politifact.com/article/2019/apr/26/context-trumps-very-fine-people-both-sides-remarks/
7. The beliefs of Trump's relatives/ancestors doesn't make him racist. By that logic, half the country is racist.
Bottom line, you appear to be a smart person... but you've been misled by lies from Democrat leaders and media.

@1chish ..Nice try, but the "debate" (which you raised, btw) was regarding the issues Airbus has had that led to crashes and fatalities.
You're attempting to shift the discussion to overall safety statistics. Such a misdirection indicates you're unable to refute my point.
It's ok to admit when you're wrong...I do it all the time.
As well, had you looked beyond the first paragraph into the list of crashes, you'd find many cases of the pilots "fighting the airplane" and/ or misinterpreting sensors and information prior to the crash. Sound familiar?
And had you done your own research (instead of getting others to provide links) you'd find some concerning issues with a few Airbus crashes beyond pilot error, bad weather, etc. Particularly Air France 447 essentially falling out of the sky, killing over 200.
That said, I didn't want to get off on a discussion on Airbus. I simply used it as ONE example of technical/engineering issues with cars, trucks, airplanes where crashes and fatalities have occurred, yet the same model is still in use.
On another topic, I think we should be very skeptical of results of crash investigations. Companies like Boeing and Airbus spend $millions on lawyers and their own investigations to ensure final reports by "independent" bodies don't use wording or make conclusions that coould tarnish their reputation or consumer confidence. Or set them up for massive payouts to victims for negligence.
I can bottom line this chat. I agree Airbus is an excellent and very safe airplane. I will fly it confidently. Just like I will have no problem flying the Max.

Trump did an excellent job with the speech. He put America first but also showed great leadership on global issues. I particularly liked the following quotes:

@savvy1367 ..While it's true there's some common sense values stated in the Bible, it's a massive generalization to state its the source of morality. And such a claim ignores the egregious immorality it contains. Many Biblical statements have been (and are being) used by Christian and Catholic sects/cults to justify racism, sexism, incest, polygamy, pedophilia, and other immoral acts and crimes. For example:
1. Perversity and human trafficking condoned: "Slaves, be subject to your masters with all reverence, not only to those who are good and equitable but also to those who are perverse." (1 Peter 2:18)
2. Sex slavery condoned: "When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again."
Exodus 21: 7-8
3. Incest and getting drunk with dad is no problem if the world is running thin on suitable DNA donors: "And the elder said to the younger Our father is old, and there is no man left on the earth, to come in unto us after the manner of the whole earth. Come, let us make him drunk with wine, and let us lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father."
4. Virgin girl children are objects of value: "And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? ... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. Numbers 31:1-18
I could go on for pages with such quotes.
In addition to the above crimes, your Bible condones murder, genocide, torture and ethnic cleansing. And remember...your God-story includes him killing off the entire human race...twice. And children are still taught this God is real?!
I strongly recommend never referring to your ridiculous God story or the Bible for moral guidance. It's a fictional book that provides dangerous messages. Like the Quran (which is perhaps worse in terms of immoral teachings), the Bible is a scourge on humanity.

@savvy1367 ..I recommend you break up your comments into paragraphs.
I encourage you to do some research on the history of ethics in our species. LONG before your particular God-story and fictional book there were well-documented moral and ethical principles being followed in many cultures.
For example, ancient Chinese cultures were writing down basic morals and ethics thousands of years before common era (BCE) and your God-story and Bible. And ancient Sumerian, Eqyptian, Persian, Roman and Greek cultures were writing down and following basic ethical principles LONG before Christianity.
Side note...At some point you should realize the Bible and your God/Jesus story is simply a copy of previous God/Prophet myths. Primarily Eqyptian, Greek, Roman and Persian stories. For example, Jesus' fictional virgin birth, crucifiction/resurrection, and many other details are carbon copies of previous stories.
In the context of the hundreds of different God-delusions in our species history, the Christian/Catholic cult is as original as the Scientology cult.
Back to the topic....While we can't verify exactly when we started following basic moral principles, it's presumed our rapidly evolving brain led to our understanding of the benefits of an ethical approach to others tens of thousands of years ago. We HAD to learn right from wrong to survive.
Regarding your reference to the ridiculous Adam and Eve story, it's important for you to realize our species has been around for about 250,000 years. As have our close cousins on the Mammalian family tree such as Apes, Pigs, Chimps etc.
While we indeed lived in caves while we migrated throughout the planet from the continent now known as Africa, those "cavemen" you mention were our Hominid ancestors, who evolved over about 10 million years. Along with Neanderthals. Some of us even have some Neanderthal DNA.
And of course, if we go back further....well, suffice to say we have wisdom teeth, muscles to move our ears and a tailbone for a reason....:)
I notice you didn't comment on my list of immoral teachings in the Bible. I hope you've reflected on how dangerous the book is... and how it's being used by your religion for ongoing crimes against humanity.

@Raptoraddict6610 …I disagree. Trump made mistakes but was an excellent President overall. Certainly better than the debacle known as the Biden administration.
And while you’re basing your opinion on emotion (your hate of Trump) all I’ve done is cite facts regarding the impeachments.
You can try to deflect but the inconvenient truths for Democrats and Trump haters will never change:
1. Pelosi knew history would view a 100% partisan impeachment of a President as massive abuse of Congressional powers, hence her 2017 comment.
2. Moreover, Congressional lawyers repeatedly warned the Democrats of proceeding with an impeachment of a Republican President that wasn’t based on crimes. As a comparison, look at the bipartisan impeachment of Bill Clinton, which was based on the major crimes of Perjury (a felony), Witness Tampering, and Obstruction of Justice.
3. The fact that a couple House Democrats voted AGAINST impeachment should tell you the level of lies that were exposed in the hearings, particularly the fact there was zero evidence tying Trump’s phone call to the delay in military aid.
4. Trump’s second impeachment (while bipartisan) had no investigations, hearings or witnesses at the House level. This was a major affront to Justice. Democrats were warned but went ahead anyway, which forever set another very dangerous precedent (the other being a 100% partisan impeachment).
5. It’s worth repeating: Democrat voters like you can now NEVER get upset if a future Republican majority House conducts a 100% partisan impeachment of a Democrat President or one without hearings or investigations at the House level. Think about that.
Bottom line, you can hate Trump all you want and can try to bring up the impeachments as a bad thing for his legacy. But just make sure you’re looking at the facts and big picture.

"This isn't our first rodeo. We are fully coordinated, and we are fully mobilized, and we are fully prepared to deal with the situation as it develops."---Andrew Cuomo, March 2, regarding the Covid outbreak.
The CDC data shows otherwise:
- California--70,000 Covid cases, 3,000 deaths.
- New York---337,000 cases, 27,000 deaths.
And CA has double the population.
Lemon, Cooper, Tapper and everyone at CNN should drop their anti-Trump propaganda and start talking about real issues.

@Reyna Rios ..Good luck on your essay.
I strongly encourage you to figure out why you think Trump's racist.
Googling it, and providing a link from media isn't logical.
You should be able to explain exactly why you think he's racist, and explain the facts behind your opinion.
By the way, every claim of Trump being racist can be summarized as the following:
1. A blatant lie from Democrats and media,.
2. A presumption based on an old case from the 1970s (with zero evidence of Trump being involved), or the ludicrous claim his "Central Park Five" ad was racist.
3. A quote taken completely out of context, such as "There was fine people on both sides", or the lie that he called all Mexicans "rapists and drug dealers" (he never did).
4. The lie he wanted to ban Muslims. He simply put a travel ban in place for Muslim countries that support terrorism. The SAME ban Obama had put in place.
5. The ridiculous claim from Democrats that Trump calling certain countries "shitholes" was racist (they are), or calling Baltimore "rat infested and crime ridden" was racist (it is).
Bottom line, I'll again encourage you to seek facts and knowledge.
Trump isn't racist. If you think that, you're believing lies.
Have a good one.

It's not complicated. Trump will win 2020 based on the same principles that led to a GOP landslide in 2016.
1. More America First (as opposed to globalism, turning us into sanctuary country, free healthcare for illegals, socialism, etc).
2. More Deregulation, tax reforms, and policies that encourage job growth, corporate investment, effective trade deals, border security, and immigration reform.
3. Sustaining foreign policy that is America First, but balances the needs of our allies.
And much like 2016 the Democrat alternatives are nothing short of scary.
Trump has done an excellent job for the country despite an incompetent and dysfunctional Congress (both Republican and Democrat), and incessant witch hunts and attacks by media.
His second term will be even more historic than the first.

@Fearnochange … Trump remains very popular among GOP members and voters because he’s all about conservative values. For example, less government regulation, strong immigration policies, border security, protecting state rights, improving the integrity of elections, energy independence, capitalism, and law and order.
When I think of “trumpism” I think of all these values and putting America FIRST when it comes to all domestic and foreign policy.
Meanwhile, the Democrats are pretty much the opposite of everything I mentioned: more government regulations, open border, loose immigration policies, policies that encourage crime, less integrity in elections, trampling state rights, handouts, globalism and economic policies that hurt average Americans.

@erector5953 .I encourage you to look up the term "Confirmation Bias". It's what you're basing your information on.
And it's what most "scientists" are basing their well-funded "conclusions" on.
As well, ice cores and other science tell us there's been times in earth's history with FAR more carbon in the atmosphere than today. Hmmm...How did it get there?
As I said, I agree we have to be more responsible with pollution. But there's zero scientific consensus humanity is entirely responsible for recent shifts in climate.
And remember, the current shifts are quite small compared to previous global changes.
You should also do some research on the doomsday predictions made by "scientists" in the 70s, 80s and 90s regarding global cooling, warming, ice-caps melting, massive increases in sea level, etc etc.
None of the doomsday predictions made in those decades have come true.
Lastly, I encourage you to resist the brainwashing from the climate alarmist cults.
(And please read comments carefully before replying. My comment on the "100 years of data" was regarding the weather records reported in the vid, not climate data.)

Ralph Imanyara....You seem angry. I'm curious if you watched Trump's full speech? If not, here's a SMALL sample of why Trump did an excellent job (full transcript of the speech available on Politico):

@ahauckify ..You contradict yourself by suggesting the economy isn't doing well by asking for indicators....then acknowledging it's strong! ("juiced").
Do your own research on job growth, GDP, corporate investment, consumer confidence, housing starts, small business confidence, etc etc. You're clearly aware of how to get objective sources for the data,, so have at it.
Don't bother responding with ad-hominem, or that I'm "mindless". If there's a specific economic indicator you'd like to delve into, I'm all for having adult conversations.

@brianbatie6650 ...I agree we have to continue to work on lowering our emissions. But we certainly don’t need to be in the useless Paris Accord to do it.
Do some research on it’s effectiveness. A study in 2017 showed that NONE of the industrialized nations were meeting their commitments. Moreover, even if they were, the targets do not come close to doing enough.
The Accord is a prefect example of meaningless government rhetoric...which fits Obama, Biden and the Democrats perfectly.
And I remind you that Obama signed it by Executive Order rather than through Congress. Imagine the outcry if Trump did that.
Biden would be an idiot to rejoin. But I’m also a realist...and realize there’s a lot of “low information” Democrat voters who will think it’s a great thing. As well, the far left and ‘green new deal’ idiots in the party, such as AOC, will rejoice because it will give the government more powers.
Bottom line, I agree we need to continue to work on lowering our emissions, for which we’ve been quite successful over the past decade through technology and natural market-driven changes.
But the Paris Accord is completely useless, particularly since China, India, etc aren’t even coming close to meeting their commitments.

@matthewvandeventer3632 ..Fair points. Obama indeed took some crap. But it's not even close to what Trump's had to endure in the last 2.5 years. Firstly, remember that the vast majority of media is Leftist. The quantity of anti-Trump lies and propaganda FAR outnumbers anything Obama and the Dem administration endured.
Secondly, the attacks by Late Night hosts alone are libelous and perhaps illegal, including incessant attacks on Melania, Ivanka, and even Trump's friends/supporters (i.e. Kanye West). For example, Colbert spent an entire monologue mocking and attacking Melania's accent, intelligence, clothes and even the work she was doing with charity. Including a clip where he took one sentence of her press conference and twisted it to lie about her motives and intentions. And the crowd cheered wildly of course. smh
Seth Meyer's has viciously attacked Trump from Day 1 including countless blatant lies on serious issues facing the country. All cleverly disguised as "satire" of course.
Lastly, I really like how Trump gives as good as he gets. If he didn't defend himself he'd lose respect. He says some dumb things and there's many times I wish he'd leave an issue alone, but his successes and accomplishments for the country FAR outweigh these minor mistakes. America First is a simple concept that will get him 4 more years.

For months, domestic terrorist groups like BLM and Antifa rioted, murdered, burned businesses, terrorized neighborhoods, looted and occupied public buildings.
Yet most of the media (and almost all Democrat leaders) just blamed Trump.
Now that the frustration has boiled over and Trump supporters and rioters did the same crap, most of the media (and almost all Democrat leaders) just blame Trump..again.
There's a bigger picture here.
The "orange man bad" crap is deflection from 4 years of the Democrat's lies, hate, identity politics, inciting violence and taking craps on the Constitution.
And for 4 years, 90% of our media has lied and propagandized everything Trump.
The riot should NEVER have happened, but I sure understand where the frustration comes from.

Valerie J. Norse...He’s kept his promises and put America first. His historic tax reforms, massive deregulation, and corporate investment incentives lit a rocket under the economy and job growth.
For example, the average middle class income level has grown at the highest rate in history.
And he’s overturned countless Obama era policies...those same policies that led to the worst recovery from recession in history, $10 Trillion in new debt, and higher taxes on the middle class.
If you wonder why the Democrats got slaughtered in the 2014 midterms and eventually lost to Trump’s electoral landslide in 2016, look no further than Obama’s brutal economy.
And Trumps list of foreign policy successes is massive, particularly getting other NATO countries to stop taking advantage of us.
He’s also tightened our border and dealt with illegals, forced Mexico to work on their border and migrant issues, helped veterans and the military, and won two new Trade deals that will add even more jobs and $billions to the country.
All these reasons, and many more, are why Trump’s done an excellent job. And it’s why his rallies have thousands more than any other candidate and his campaign donations FAR exceed everyone else.
He’s looking excellent for a second term, which is great for the country.

@ValerieJNorse ..Good points. And kudos for your ability to have an adult conversation. It's very rare in a CNN comment section, particularly for a Trump supporter like me.
You're right on the depth of the recession. But unfortunately, Obama's approach was flawed. He did the typical Democrat thing, which was use debt and add more taxes.
Not only did that hurt consumer confidence, his increased capital gains taxes and ignorance on the importance of corporate investment on the economy led to (again) the worst recovery in history.
Regarding corporate investment, Trump's lowering of the tax rate to compete with other countries (particularly Canada and Mexico) will likely go down as the best economic legacy from his first term. It lit a rocket under investment and job growth. For example, early in Trump's term Apple announced a half $Trillion in new spending in America..and attributed it entirely to Trump.
Regarding the new NAFTA, I encourage you to look at the details. Trump ensured we won the deal in major ways, especially for dairy farmers, car manufacturers and the price of prescription drugs.
Lastly, all NATO countries made a commitment in 2014 (under Obama) to spend 2% of GDP on defense by 2024.
As of 2018, only 5 or 6 countries (out of 29) were meeting this goal. And we've been exceeding it for decades.
Trump put major pressure on other NATO countries to stop taking advantage of us and get their proverbial shit together, particularly Germany, France, Turkey and Canada (the UK has been meeting the target).
Since Trump took office, NATO spending has gone up by many $Billions...and countries are accelerating their timelines to meet the 2024 goal.
