  7. And they're singing a beautiful Russian song, in Russian, basically in support of Russian (anti- Nazi) soldiers. They want out of the proxy war!!!! The song, "Katyusha", was written in 1938 when it was evident they'd soon be at war with the Nazis. It's both poignant and very pointed. Look it up! I've been humming it all morning -- here in the US, the belly of the beast.
